it works on almost everything and i do not have trouble loading anything ether and i love the part where its free but it does not work on twitch so i had to get other add blocker but that's the only one so far after a few months

Hate this extension. Takes forever to get it to allow a page.

its amazing , however most websites will make you turn it of to use the site it will usaly po up a thing saying we see you have on an ad blocker ads help keep this page free so plz turn it off

I had problems when I started using Adblock Plus, but I guess because I hadn't got the filters sorted. Messed around with it, tried different settings, now it does it's job pretty well. Especially appreciate it blocking all the numerous ads on YouTube.

It does its job, however, their OWN annoying pop up, keeps appearing and Idk how to stop it from doing so!

I'm uneducated in Computer science - it's getting too complicated to follow all instructions, so that is when I just trying - and Tutors are to costly -

SUCKS! Well, it does stop youtube annoyance but... only when you load a page, reload the page via ABP icon but before that it stops nothing so it sucks. And how often do I have to remember to reload the page with APB icon in order to block youtube annoyance? 50/50, sucky, beasty... (mhm and I donated some small amount but but but ...)

This is an OUTSTANDING extension and I haven't seen a single ad on this computer for over 5 years.

Some reason it's blocking Google searches all of a sudden, and only showing applicable other searches. Will change review to 5 stars when this issue gets fixed.

This used to work much better but since they started selling a premium subscription service to block autoplay videos wildcards for animations and videos on known problem websites have stopped working and and new additions don't actually block the element.

It's a good adblocker extension. It blocks all the ads and uncessary pop-ups so I am happy with using it.

This is the best! No more ads hiding content. No more pop-ups. And I can turn it on and off as needed (news sites are rather picky about ad blocking). I can't believe what a difference Adblock Plus has made to my internet browsing!

This is such a great extension. I have had no issues and have used it for many years and I have blocked thousands of ads. I would highly recommend downloading this and donating if you can. The difference is very notable when you go on YouTube on a device that doesn't have ABP.

Was amazing for years..not sure how many ive even used it. For the past week or so? I've been getting ads everywhere, no longer works. I have all the permissions correct and even manually enabled/added sites, still fails. Hope it gets fixed soon :(

The free version worked pretty decently, but "Premium" had failed to "activate" the "upgrade" today. Seems to disable and require "upgrading" almost on a monthly basis, and this time, it failed to "reactivate". Every other month or so has been flawless, but not lately! I sure hope the developers fix this, and make it more seamless to "reactivate" to Premium, from the free version, which is still very capable, btw. No idea why it doesn't STAY Premium, or why it resets to free every time there's an update to it, but I'm not much of a programmer, so I couldn't do what they do. I thought I was helping by "donating" to help offset their costs, with their Premium option, but if it doesn't work, and it's more trouble than it's worth ... It's back to free for me !! I'm waiting for support to get back to me, so perhaps I can find out if I'll be asking for a refund or not.

It worked great for a long time until recently it started begging for money and it blocks but just makes numbers saying it blocked 3,000 ads. Save your time and just install another extension. TRUST ME!!!!

This was my default ad blocker for years, and did everything I could hope for. Unfortunately, something recently changed, and I have ads everywhere. Options to block more seem to be locked under a "premium" type membership in Settings. On about every site I frequent (except youtube), advertisements I had previously avoided are back

It no longer works on hotstar.com. Earlier it worked perfectly but now hotstar has changed it's UI. Developers need to update it accordingly.

It worked fine as of a month ago, now ads pop up from every site. At least 1 ad every 3 minutes, same ad. Even after I try to manually block the ad, it does not work, and its still pushing ads through. There is also the fact that some ads are straight lockout ads, where they are trying to force you to pay them, or you are not allowed to use the browser anymore. I know how to do get around them, but others might not, and if ABP is not going to stop those kinds of problems, then they are far from the best

Realy block everything you think about and give you peace of mind.

It's not free. I don't mind paying for software, we all have to make a living after all. But if it isn't free, don't advertise it as "Free ad blocker". You are just wasting everybody's time.

God Bless these people! Of course the "war" between advertisers and those who seek to block advertisements has been raging since the early 20th century, and with no end it sight. Are a lot more Ad's getting past ABP than a few years ago? Yes. Is ABP still a great help? Absolutely. If you only get one extension, get this one; Or, keep sucking Corporate Schwanz. As they steal and resell all of your personal data without reimbursing you at all. Your choice!

I like the extension, however it does seem that every time windows updates now I have to reinstall AdBlock to block ads without reload the page every time I visit the page.

I got this specifically for Youtube. At first, the Home Page didn't even load. I think this is because Companies are getting smarter and don't want ads removed, so they prevent the page from even working. But, if you allow just the Home Page of Youtube (youtube.com) in AdBlock Plus, it will still block in-video ads, but will allow the home page to actually load. 10/10 for being free and easy to use. May contribute to them soon.

I wonder if Adblock Plus is still working and alive because neither it blocks ads nor allows us to add all filters (which should eventually work). 99% of sites know I am using Adblock Plus so they wont allow me to access their site unless and until I dont disable this, which again kills the idea of why I am using this when ublock origin and adguard addons are there with better user controls. Anyways, nothing of this addon works so if you are using this, shift to the previously mentioned ones. Also, I have screenshots to prove my points so dev be ready to explain if you don't like this rating and force us to rate 5 stars. Garbage. Uninstalled.

i like this but jst 1 problem it seems to slowed my net speed . when i disable it my spped increase.

ADP used to be a good ad blocker. Now, ads are coming through unabated and the Block Element feature is missing - making it impossible to manually block ads when they get through. Three Thumbs Down!

You Add-on is compromised with a hidden malicious code that forces connection to a URL blacklisted - https://kqdxc4m5.de/logos_v2/120x60/034fac0aa544df921f4fe3afa1eec86a.gif. Everytime i try to make a google search I get an alert from my Antivirus about this background attempt to connect to this Blacklisted URL. I don't recommend and I will switch to the Actual Adblock ad-on (without the Plus).

Adblock Plus is a must have. It has made such a difference as I now longer get adds or redirects. It is so easy to use, just load it up and let it do it`s job.

First issue ... Why does the "free" part of this ad-blocker not work? You get to the app/page and all of a sudden popping up is an ad (that should have been blocked) asking for money by calling it the (wh)ho-nes T something or whatever. Boo. Free up don't fee up the AdBlock.

Disgusting company. I put Adblocker on a laptop for my Dad last year but he died in July from Covid. Have been charged annual subscription, contacted customer support and they spent 30 minutes wasting my time trying to talk me into keeping it for a discounted rate......for my DEAD DAD. What is wrong with you people??

I love this extension. Computers are basically unusable without it lol.

2017 it worked so well for me I forgot it was there. I've used it for years, never had a problem. Using a person's computer that doesn't have it, that's a problem. 2023, 6 years later and still the best.

Now this app shows ads for it's premium service. This is opposite to what adblockers are for. This used to work great, but the developers need to have a reality check about whether an adblocker is supposed to show ads.

I really enjoy the added security of ABP, there are some sites that are impossible to visit without Adblock Plus. Overall it does a great job although there are times when the "block element" attribute doesn't work, but overall well worth getting ;?)

No longer allows me to block specific scripts. I tried and it literally would not see anything as a valid script. Will be using uBlock origin from now on. Just discovered the "Acceptable ads" check box. It does not allow ONLY acceptable ads when I get ads from lonely singles scam websites.

Used ABP for years. Used to be great at blocking unwanted things. Gradually started blocking less and less - It's really fallen off the last year or two, it's now pretty common to see ads on pages. And now they want a recurring $ subscription to block unwanted things. So I guess this is where I draw the line. Going to uninstall and find something else.

used to work perfectly, but recently its been letting pop up window ads come through.

This extension is awesome at what it does. HOWEVER, it asks for a "contribution" every time you have to re-install it or when you install it to a second browser on the same computer. This company makes it seem like it is mandatory to contribute a minimum of $5 in order to install--or re-install--the "free" product. They call it a "contribution" but that is inaccurate--it is not tax-deductible in any way, which is implied by the term "contribution." I would rather pay for an extension in an upfront and clear transaction than deal with these misleading tactics. Their support has not been responsive and I find their practices to be quite shady (more than what I've described here). I refuse to support any companies that make misleading people a core business practice. I encourage you to look elsewhere.

had this adblocker for a very long time . worked well , until today i noticed i was getting ads anyways . turned adblocker off and back on , went to settings and updated extensions , still got ads . uninstalled and reinstalled it , and now i have to pay for it . even though it says "free adblocker" in the name . sigh

Just downloaded this and from what I've seen and gathered, it's a pretty good extension. It works very well on sites like Easybib to block most of the annoying ads on the side, and works with YouTube ads as well. It also does seem like the developers want to keep it free, and try to communicate about any issues that arise. They also seem to care about user feedback. If my experience changes I'll change my review, but as of right now I am very satisfied

locking the ability to block specific elements on a webpage behind a paywall is pretty mid

if we go back maybe 5 or 6 years ago I would have said that this is the best adblocker that there is, sadly today I found out that this app doesn't work anymore, and many of the useful features that were a staple for this app are now locked behind a paywall, its kind of disappointing on the drop in quality of this app.

I'll reinstall when the block element feature returns for free. Until then, I'm good.

Why did it stop blocking ads and "promoted" tweets on twitter? Loved this until that recent change.

As good of an adblocker as it is (once you turn off "acceptable ads"), the dropdown now ironically has its own "upgrade" ad for adblock plus premium, with no way to hide it as far as I can tell. The settings menu is also completely plastered in ads for premium. Not much of an adblocker if it displays its own ads.

Time to look for another option. This app has been steadily declining year after year. Now you have to pay for the most useful features. No thanks.

Useless doesn't block nothing and on fb you get hammered with sponsored ads. Time to find another ad blocking company. Very poor and don't give a damn about your customers.

I don't like how now all of sudden you have to pay for it or it wont block ads. after all the donations i made? i just feel like that's so greedy of the developers.

Adblock Plus was the gold standard for years, but not anymore. They've removed the ability to block specific elements on a web page, and now have that feature locked behind a "New distraction control" premium feature, marketing it as a brand new way to control distractions on a website for only $20 a year, or $2 a month. THIS FEATURE WAS FREE for years, but now it's paywalled. The developers got greedy. I think it's time they lose their donations. Scumbags.

I love this blocks YouTube ads and pop up ads too I don't know what people are talking about saying you have to pay to use it its completely free for me.

Can't block element anymore, thanks for removing the best feature. Uninstalled.

I've donated to Adblock Plus in the past. Now ABP thanks me by removing the block element feature, making it an additional $20 a year feature. Ridiculous.
