I tried it today nothing seems working. The website https://crowd-workers.com/ also seem not working.
Great tool!
If you're looking for a tool that will help you find high-paying HITs on MTurk or track the money you're making, then CrowdWorkers is perfect for you. It helps you make sure your work is as efficient as possible. At times, it struggles to sync well with your actual Worker MTurk account which makes it metrics on what you've completed unavailable. The optimization aspect CrowdWorkers offers is its most important feature and it does it quite well. You just have to be quick to accept the Turks it finds with the highest pay!
Sounds like a really cool idea. Wish I could try it out in the MTurk sandbox.
Well-made extension for users of MechanicalTurk. Definitely offers advantages over the native site and has useful information. Could be improved to filter out HITs with low data, but this can be circumvented through a bit of extra searching.
It's a great idea and has a neat and organized interface. However, the updating rate of the website may be too slow to keep up with the Mturk site, because every link I clicked was already an expired HIT.
Helps to make finding HITs and completing HITs in order to maximize time and money earned simple and easy.
The information provided by the extension was pretty useful and organized, but the hourly rate column had a lot of non-values that made it hard to use, and a lot of the HITs I tried claiming were all gone when I went to MTurk.
A decent app, has a lot of useful information for turkers but also has some issues displaying work and design flaws regarding screen size and stuff.
This was a very helpful tool that directed me to high paying hits that I would have to dig for a while to find without it. You do have to be quick since so many people want these hits, but it is definitely a valuable application as it also shows analytics in a manner that can be understood easily.
I enjoyed using the Chrome Extension. Generally, it was well-designed and provided useful analytics. When completing HITS, I optimized for time and not pay (which I'm sure most turkers do not do). On this axis, it wasn't incredibly useful. However, for the majority's usecase, I can see how it would be amazing!
It took a while to update for me -- for example, I would complete tasks and MTurk would say they were accepted but Crowd Workers wouldn't have changed. I also think the interface could use some revamping.
It is a cool idea. Good for tracking information about my usage of MTurk, but not so good for finding highpaying tasks since most of them were unavailable by the time I got to them. But that could just be because I'm too slow. :(
This is a useful Chrome extension to efficiently find high paying HITs on Amazon MTurk. In particular, the hourly wage feature is helpful because it is an important statistic that Amazon does not display. Features include suggested HITs as well as analytics which summarize total earnings and HITs completed, etc. You can also set goals and track your progress. Overall, a useful extension for MTurkers.
Helped a lot to provide analytics to see which HITs were worth my time
Great concept, was finicky for me but helpful when it was functional.
The hourly rate feature didn't work but the analytics dashboard provided a great overview of how I was spending my time. The display is too large and didn't fit on my screen.
A great way to find tasks on MTurk and sort by categories that MTurk does not offer. Additionally, it offers useful analytical tools to track your work and wages. However, I had some trouble getting the data to sync.
Very helpful tool made with the Turkers interests at heart! The creators are also very receptive to feedback and constantly looking to improve the product.
I found the extension very useful for analyzing the time I've spent on mturk.com, as well as the tasks I've completed. The analytics/graphs are clear and visually appealing, and it's easy to navigate and filter through tasks. Unfortunately, there are some bugs (i.e. extension was down for a period of time), and when I try to find HITs using the extension, many of the listed ones are no longer available. I probably wouldn't recommend using this to find tasks, but absolutely would recommend if you're trying to find analytics on your time/earnings.
Useful for tracking the amount of time you've spent Turking and helps visualize work. Easy to use.
It is automatically disabled. Makes me wonder why this is the case, and concerned about my data.
Doesn't work.
Doesn't work anyhow.
i love it ...keeps me on my toes
good. very nice
very useful for newbies like myself.
Mturk is the worst marketplace in the world and this extension help them you get underpaid work, and getting all your data dont waste your time as i did dont trust any of this scams related to MTURK
A necessity for any MTurk worker. Allows you to sort jobs by hourly wage, average time completed, and more. Offers analytics about your past HITs as well. Although some improvements to the layout and design are necessary, there is no way you can be an MTurk worker without using CrowdWorkers or a similar extension.
This app was really useful for finding good, quick hits. Definitely made it faster for me to get my work completed, would recommend to Turkers everywhere
The analytics of this app are beyond compare. They may even make up for their less than perfect GUI which is still better than most others.
This extension makes Turking better for a variety of reasons. The UI is superior because of the more pleasant color scheme and layout of all the HITS. The added metrics such as predicted Hourly Rate and information on your personal completed HITS give much better information than mTurk itself. A must have for all Turkers!
This is a great app that allows for better insights on what MTurk tasks to take on depending on how long the average worker took to complete said tasks. One improvement I would ask for is that there be a filter for jobs a worker is qualified for
This was an awesome app that allows you to make better decisions on which MTurk tasks to take on. Something that could be improved is an option to see what tasks you are qualified for.
I thought the actual information and analytics that this provided was very useful. Being able to see hourly wage as well as having ratings on requesters helped a lot. The formatting and interface could probably be improved a little more. The default setting on the "New Work" page gives a very narrow "HIT Info" column, which makes it hard to read all the text. When I adjusted my filters to put less columns in, this fixed the issue. The favourites/blacklist feature is a nice feature as well. Overall, the analytics that this provides makes it a useful add-on.
This extensive provided nice sleeve interface to use in comparison to MTurk. IT provides you with somewhat real time information and allows you to filter for HITs across multiple parameters. Since my goal was to attempt and complete the hits as quickly as possible, the fact that the average time listed was way off proved to be problematic. The Analytics platform was interesting. Overall a much better interface to track HITS than MTurk
This extension gives you access to analytical tools that are not accessible to workers on MTurk. Many HITs on MTurk are often spam or wasteful tasks, so this app helps users to avoid this situation. There is a noticeable, but small, lag with the tracking of available HITs on this extension. A feature such as automatic syncing or notification of new HITs would be great.
Though the extension had some issues in terms of its GUI being a little clunky, the times being off for some of the HITs, and random hourly rate numbers because of this, it was still useful in helping me find some HITs worth turking for. Additionally, I really liked the analytics built into the extension - fun to look through by turking history and figure out how I had done.
Great app for Turkers. Really useful for finding quality work
I thought this was a good extension especially because the page layout was easier to read. However, I would like it better if you could add more tasks on the same page because it would be easier to scroll through the HITs rather than change to different pages. It definitely provides a better interface than MTURK and also syncs easily with the MTURK account!!
Excellent tool for navigating MTurk. This extension truly helps workers to find the highest-paying tasks. I was really impressed by the extension's strong use of analytics, which helped me be more efficient and effective in my selection of tasks. Honestly, without this extension, I would not have found many of the most lucrative HITs on MTurk. Clearly, this is a great little application for ensuring that you spend your time Turking in the most efficient and rewarding manner possible.
Easy to use and very helpful!
Overall, much clearer and better presentation of information than the native Turks sight. The tool is fantastic for finding the highest paying jobs and filtering out bad rejecters, both "reward-optimizing" tasks. The app was less helpful when it came to "time-optimizing"; average time listed or calculated was not accurate compared to the actual completion time, though this was a problem with Turk overall.
This makes turking so much more efficient. Thanks CCB!
Overall, the extension fulfills its purpose of giving MTurk workers more tools to find the type of work they are looking for on the site. However, improvements in the UI would help make the using CrowdWorkers more enjoyable.
This extension made finding HITS and keeping track of your HITS easy. It is also a quick way to access the crowd worker website.
Very good extension for Mechanical Turk. Allows you to examine HITs by different categories, such as the reward amount, number of workers, time spent, and even the calculated hourly wage. So far, the extension has synced well with my account, and I would say if you Turk often it is a must-have. Although it is a good extension, the interface could be better/cleaner.
It is really helpful to know my expected hourly wage working a hit. The app is a bit slow and hard to use, but is ultimately very helpful.
Good extension, the UI was a little messy, but provided lots of search functionality and gave much better HITs than mturk usually would.
A fantastic plugin that will greatly improve your Mechanical Turk experience by allowing you to effectively find rewarding and quality work experiences. Quick and easy to use. Would recommend to a friend.
Very very informative app for people who want some quantifiable direction for how they are working. Hourly rate is a great feature, and will lead to requesters posting higher hourly rates if it becomes widespread. HOWEVER, because Hourly Rate puts the HITS with no calculated hourly rate at the top when filtered by hourly rate, this feature becomes useless (unless you want to search through hundreds of HITS to reach the one with a high hourly rate). Overall, great and in the right direction!
It's really useful in helping you find higher paying jobs. It makes searching for jobs a lot faster which is in my opinion one of the most tedious tasks. The analytics is really helpful in helping you determine if you're being efficient or not and helps you maximize your earnings on mturk. App is lightweight and easy to use. UI could use a little work to be more intuitive but overall very nice.
Great extension - for users of MTurk, whether new or old, the Crowd Worker interface "unclutters" the MTurk UI and clearly lays out important analytics regarding your worker account - what the hourly rate per job is, among what requesters you find your highest earnings, etc. I also think the analytics could be very productively used in a future where more workers work through MTurk, where we'll need that kind of analytic information to understand how to better improve the economics of MTurk. If there was an embedded TurkOpticon feature into the users that Crowd Worker displays from MTurk, I think that would be a significant improvement to the product offering.
Great Extension! This app was very helpful in finding the right HITs for me. The interface was very user friendly and displayed information in a very helpful and organized fashion.
CrowdWorkers significantly improved my experience after working on MTurk directly for a while. It allowed me to see my progress and the value of the time I was spending on MTurk. I would definitely recommend using this extension if you are interested in using MTurk for an extended period of time.
Crowd Workers is an excellent tool for Mechanical Turk workers who are looking to maximize HIT profits. This tool provides the user with a nice interface and allows users to better navigate Mechanical Turk to find the best HITs available. I personally use this extension to find the highest hourly rate out there. Highly recommended!
I wish the chrome extension would have the overall time it took as well as average hourly rate, but overall it was helpful in tracking how much money I made.
Overall, it helped me find a few high earning quick jobs. The analytics page is also very nice to have — especially the Track section where I can see the past HITS in such detail (Which I hadn't seen on the mturk site). However, the GUI on the New Work page was sparse and made it hard to see what number was aligned to which variable. The Average completion time is also totally off — the bulk of tasks easily took more than 30 seconds, contrary to what CW had computed.
The UI was much better than Amazons. I appreciated the Dashboard tracking feature. It's nice to know how much time I spent working on HITs. It's also useful for finding good requesters, filling a void in the MTurk search. The search for actual HITs could use some work however, with results showing HITs from requesters I'd already completed instead of new ones. In addition, it would be nice to clear the sorting fields. Once pressed, there's not an option to clear sorting for a particular column that I know of.
The app helped me find hits where I could make more for an hourly rate. My only issue would be that as I was scrolling I wouldn't see that I was not qualified so I would click on the link anyways. Overall a good extension.
It helped me optimize my time on mTurk through the sort options for "hourly rate". Though the numbers for average time completed may be off, they give a benchmark to compare jobs with one another. The options to filter bad requesters and qualifications made searching faster than mTurk. There are some areas that need to be fixed. Sorting by average completion time returns jobs that have not yet been worked. Despite these, it is overall a great application for turking.
The app was extremely helpful because it allows user to sort tasks by more categories than does MTurk itself, such as hourly wage and average completion time. I also found the Analytics part very informative as it allows you to see the HITs you have already completed broken down into categories. The app is visually appealing and easy to use.
The layout is cleaner than MTurk but there's room for improvement in certain columns where long text makes scrolling to find HITs cumbersome. The filtering interface could play more of a priority since most users (or at least me) will gravitate toward advanced search/filters to find HITs when they are looking for work to do. Overall great UI and definitely recommend if you don't want to stare at so much text on MTurk!
This app helped me find HITs and analyze my work on MTurk. The dashboard feature on MTurk is nothing compared to CrowdWorkers, and it's really useful in finding more HITs and making your work as productive as possible. The interface should be reworked though, the width of the page is wider than the window, and the "HIT Group Info" column on "New Work" page is too narrow.
Excellent extension. Using MTurk alone versus utilizing this extension and their website is a night and day difference. Amazon doesn't provide much insight into the returns on each HIT you do, and CrowdWorkers passes all that missing data on to you. Using this, it's easy to spend more time performing HITs and less time scouring the web for reliable sources that identify good HITs to do.
Very useful extension for keeping track of the HITs you're working on with the HITs in progress feature. It's easier to search for tasks on Crowdworkers than on MTurk directly, and it is really interesting to see your hourly rate for every task.
Awesome application - really useful when doing HITs, and provides a better interface than MTurk's outdated one. Doesn't display as many HITs on the same page but still a great analytics tool.
The UI may be a little clunky, but the app allows you to majorly optimize the time you spend on MTurk. It allows you to filter out "bad" requesters and only focus on tasks where you're likely to not be rejected and also earn a high reward. Overall, it's extremely useful for anybody who uses mTurk in their day to day lives. I highly recommend you get it!
I think this app was very useful and syncs perfectly and instantly with the MTurk account. The emphasis on goals, progress, and completed hits makes the app help with productivity; Its helpful to determine which tasks are not worth completing vs. which are a good use of time. I didn't find any bugs, and found that the App was straightforward to use.
Think it's a great app! Regarding the website - when you sort by completion time, the lowest completion time becomes 0:00, which essentially shows all the tasks that have never been completed. When trying to sort by completion time, I was trying to find the tasks that take the least amount of time. This should be changed to sort by tasks that have been completed X amount of times.
Great extension – does exactly what it needs to do! Plus, the ability to quickly check your Turk ID is awesome. I wish there was a count of the # of HITs you have completed, though.
Great chrome extension, really helped me be more productive on MTurk. The ability to see an effective hourly rate for hits I have completed based on the amount of time I personally spent on them was invaluable. It turned out that the hit I believed to be my most beneficial (highest hourly wage) was actually my LEAST productive based on my time spent per dollar earned. I was thus able to change my focus when doing hits, which was invaluable. Also the ability to see how long I was actually working on hits vs. browsing other sites and getting side tracked was helpful as well.
Innovative in several ways, including Hourly Rate, integrated Requester rating, and total/avg time spent on MTurk versus other Turk websites. Sometimes, the first results from the Hourly Rate filter were $0.00 or "-", which was confusing, so I would have to navigate the first few pages to find some good options.
The app was useful and had a neat interaction with MTurk. It made it easier to search by time taken by others to complete a specific task. The interface is pretty easy to interact with, and much more user-friendly than the Amazon Mechanical Turk itself.
This is a great app for people who regularly go on websites like Mechanical Turk to earn money. The app is still growing and will definitely become a great tool once more people use it. The app is pretty user-friendly. I'd suggest going to the help section immediately to get a feel for how everything works.
Great way to search and filter MTurk tasks - made it much quicker and easier to find tasks to do
It's actually a very useful tool for evening the power balance between turker and requester. I think there are aspects that could be improved (such as the UI), but overall it greatly improved my productivity.
This extension is pretty great. It shows you a quick rundown of all the information you need if you're working on HITS on Amazon's MTurk. The UI isn't as intuitive as I'd like it to be, or as detailed. What it's great for is getting a quick overview of your Turking. 4 stars seems about fair- it is completely bug free and does what it's supposed to do perfectly.
I liked this app alot overall. The interface isn't fantastic, but it is significantly better than the MTurk interface. My times seem a bit off on the analytics page though it might be because much of my time was prior to installing the extension, so that might be a factor. Super useful tool to look at hourly rate and other analytics on the analytics page. Pretty informative.
The application was very helpful in searching for worthwhile HITS to do (much more convenient than using MTurk). One recommendation would be to polish the interface by giving the "HITGroup info" column more space since the values usually are quite spacious.
Overall, this is a good app with huge potential to become even more useful. I found the most helpful thing in being able to find HITs efficiently was the ability to track Favorite requesters (and Blacklist ones you know you don't want to work with again). This made it so much easier to track which requesters you liked working with and keep you from wasting time on others. The discovery interface could use some improvement, but the app provides some really cool graphs to track both your time spent and money earned, which would be especially useful to track the progress of Turkers in it for the long haul.
Compared to the UI on MTurk itself, CrowdWorkers is easier and simpler to use. It allows you to easily sort tasks based on a certain parameter viewed high to low or low to high. I would recommend, though, that the search feature be improved. There is no auto-complete of query text and there is also no feature that allows users to easily search within a given category, etc. Lastly, CrowdWorkers occasionally was very slow. But overall, I enjoyed the extension and found it helpful.
Pretty decent, although as previous users mentioned, the UI looks a bit cluttered and could be more elegantly presented. However, it was pretty good about displaying information relevant to choosing a HIT and I liked the data analytics section.
This extension and the accompanying website helped me find a lot of great HITs with its various search functions. I also really liked that the extension reminded me that I had incomplete HITs that I had accepted and indicators on my progress for hourly benchmarks. Some things I would improve with this tool is the UI for new users. When I started using this, I had some trouble figuring out the mechanics, so some tips at the beginning would have helped me a lot. Also, one thing that would be helpful would be an indicator for how much time I've worked on accepted HITs each day. For whatever reason, the hours spent on MTurk says 12 hrs, even though I probably used it today for a maximum of 3 hrs.
The app really provides a way for workers and requesters to have more information on their activity level while turking. It is easier to find HITs using CrowdFlower and information such as blacklisted requesters gives workers some power. The app syncs well with the MTurk and it is overall a great app.
The app definitely helped to find better HIT's, especially its use of favorites and filtering. I feel it could optimize user experience more by adding more options to filter -- often times the extremes at either or is not what the user is looking for. If there is an advanced search similar to Google's advanced search (maybe toggle to what extreme you are looking for) the user experience would have been even better. The app still was easy to use and very helpful. It is still definitely better than just using mTurk alone.
The plugin performs the bare minimum functionality needed for monitoring HIT completion. I would have appreciated it if more information was visible, particularly how many HITs were completed, along with a real-time/estimated hourly rate based on current Turking. However, because it is so bare, it makes some things, such as my MTurk ID, very easily accessible and is helpful in this aspect. I'm glad I have it however believe there is much room for improvement.
It is definitely still in the beginning stages but this app offers a lot in the way of filtering HITs. It also offers better analytics than mTurk does naturally to get a better sense of how you're spending your time. I would recommend you use it if you are planning on crowd-working a lot.
The visual design of the CrowdWorkers is very attractive and it is a simple format that even new workers can adjust quickly to the new platform. Having access to more information than MTurk, I as a worker could decide whether to accept a HIT or not in looking over the statistics for "total workers", "submitted by all", and "hourly rate" just to name a few features unique to CrowdWorkers. I recommend CrowdWorkers as it also provides different search results than on MTurk and will allow the user to explore a more variety of tasks they could potentially complete.
Great extension! Really helps with Mechanical Turk. A feature to show HITs that require an attainable qualification would be a great update.
Ran into some bugs, but its features (like tracking favorited and blocked requesters and searching by earnings and hourly rate) were helpful. It also has a nice menu bar menu that tracks goals and keeps your ID and information about your activity.
Very helpful in search for hits that to complete my goals. It removes a lot of the annoyance of scanning through hundreds of mturk hits that are obviously not worth my time or that I'm not qualified for.
The GUI was well designed and it was intuitive to understand. I wish I could see how much time I spent on each task rather than total time on mturk (it's conceivable that you could be on mturk and then switch tabs/forget about your laptop running and that would count towards total time). Additionally, I wish there would was a tab/column that provided the (total payout / amount of time required). If we could sort this column, it would allow us to do tasks with the highest ratio and workers utilizing this information might be more efficient in the tasks that they choose.
Been using MTurk for about an hour now. Found the UI on this extension much more helpful than the original MTurk site. In addition to that, it gives you a great way to see your progress while you are Turking rather than clicking on another page on the actual MTurk website. Highly recommend it.
Liked this plugin. The hourly wage option is very helpful when trying to find those HITs worth working for. I wish that the "New Work" table was a little more condensed (there are too much space in between cells). In addition, I would offer the ability of ordering the requesters by their ranking. But, in general, it is a great tool that increases your productivity as a turker.
Nice extension that saves time to complete all my HITs quickly. The Analytics page also provides some interesting stats that Amazon does not show you.
Helped me make more money! I did a group of hits using the regular amazon interface and then did the same amount of hits through this and made more than twice as much! Great for finding good hits
Awesome for MTurk productivity. Best app out there for increasing productivity on the site and maximizing wage. A few issues: For some reason, I had to zoom out to see the entire page on my screen. All the font now looks really tiny. I also think it would be cool to have some kind of trending/featured/popular HITs. There's a strategy to monetize as well - charge requestors to feature HITs on Crowd Workers. In terms of recentness, maybe come up with a better standard? Such as ## seconds ago, ## minutes ago, ## hours ago, etc. rather than "a few minutes ago."
I love this extension-- it's really useful for determining which tasks on Mechanical Turk are worth doing... as so many tasks are not worth doing. This extension has saved me a lot of time searching for worthwhile tasks.
Amazing app- changed my Turking experience completely. Took 20 seconds to set up and I didn't have to provide any information. Now I have the tools I need to help optimize my turking.
