This extension has made my life so much easier, HOWEVER, for some reason, it has suddenly stopped working today and instead of installing the image, installs files solely as .htm's no matter what I try or what extension settings I mess with. When this is fixed, my rating will return to 5 stars.
Please apply an update that allows the user to disable the moving of image it automatically installs it. I would give this app 5 stars if that is applied. The amount of times it randomly installs an image that i didn't want is quite infuriating but other than that i really like the alt + hotkey install
Love it. Have been using it for a while and it's fantastic. Thx! Update: 14 Sept. 22 - the extension stopped working a while ago. I hope it gets updated because it was an awesome utility.
Just awesome.
I was trying to download an image that most extensions can't. "Shift Click Image Extractor" worked, but had extra steps (it uploads the image into a new tab first). After trying about 20 different extensions, this one finally did what I was looking for.
very good
Not working with Facebook and Twitter recently. Please update.
Not working.
Stopped working a few days ago after chrome update, please fix it.
Use it daily. Noticed in the last few days it stopped working. Might be my computer or a chrome update requiring an update to the plugin. Leaving it installed (after reinstalling to test) in hopes of an update.
It was working fine until a recent update :/
Not Working
it's pretty good. It will definetly help you. you think you don't need it but you really do
ABSOLUTELY TIME SAVING. WISH I COULD GIVE YOU A COFFREE
Thank you so much. Now editing the review to inform that it doesn't work on half of the pages.
its okay
Works, does everything I wanted to do. 100% Recommended.
Works in Brave Browser, but cant set options that are available in Chome version.
Doesn't work for me. Tried on a few websites.
This *works* , through mouse-drag, when some other forms of downloading images do not. It is my first and last resort. To put it another way, it seems that only CTRL+ SHIFT+I (Chrome's Developer Tools) will work (maybe) to grab the few (very few) images that this fine extension will not get. I'm a very pleased user.
Disappointing, unfortunately, mainly because it's not a one-stop-shop for your image saving needs. It won't work everywhere, won't work on images included via CSS background-image, and won't exclude images you most certainly don't want to save (thumbnails, smaller versions of the same image, etc.) Would have liked just sorting or filters on Dev Tools > Application tab > Frames > Images to help you pick out the main large images loaded on the page.
Works poorly with Google images search results. When Alt- left clicking an image, it just saves the thumbnail, not the full resolution image, as well as opening it in "preview" mode.
this bloody extension has saved my life
good
Works great most of the times, but will (rarely) download some jpg files as htm.
The Extension is a God Send for someone like me who downloads lots of pictures often. On tumblr if I open a picture in a new tab it just downloads the html of the picture not the picture file itself, please check this. Im on chrome v.69.0.3497.100 and using Win 10 October update
The guy that made this app is my hero
very good
this is what I want, good job!!
Works most of the time and is extremely handy, I've been using it for years now and it's really good.
Loving the drag and save. Thanks!
Had to reload the tab after installing. Works 10/10.
I'm using Chrome. Tried this extension on a online comic. It copied all the images off the page. But oddly all the button and banner images it saved them as single images. But the main larger images that I was originally trying to save, well it saves duplicates of those images. Seems the extension needs a little tweeking, but it's not bad.
Downloads all the images on the web site, even those that has no value at all like icons and so on.
This would be a great tool if you either supported downloading "background" images (also used by CSS to make images non-downloadable via right-click context menu). It would also be good, as an alternative, if you simply notified users that you don't support background images, saving them the time.
Meant to be simple. Works great.
Most of the time it works flawlessly. Occasionally it forgets and won't work, but then all is good again
Not enough options. The saving behavior was great but I couldn't even select directories. Files downloaded into my download directory and not my image directory
chrome for windows asks my permission to download for each domain, but works fine on chrome for mac. other than that, great extension, thanks for saving me some serious RSI! edit: i just found out you can "alt + left click" an image to do exactly what this app does. oh well. it's still a good extension.
I like the download all photo option it's good to harvest image search sites. However it would be nice to have a option to download in a separate folder other than just the download folder. Like C:/user/Downloads/Gentlemen Downloads If "SoundCloud Downloader" can make a folder "SoundCloud Downloads" and put the files there I'm sure it can be done.
So aweful. I thought it would be a better way to download a photo if necessary. oh my fn god, whatever you do, don't hit the symbol in the extension area above. all hell will break loose, it will download every photo associated with the webpage your on. it would be just nice to download the photo of the page or drag the I'm a Gentlemen symbol over the photo you want. I can right click on any website on Google, look through the inspect page in the drop down menu and find the photo I want and only get that photo. I have never ever given an extension a bad review, this one. go ahead and download it, take a few aspirin too
Alt-click only ever worked second time. Otherwise good.
Very useful. However, it can be very slow at downloading, while right clicking and "save as..." is far faster.
very good :)
cool. like it
give me an option to change the download location.
This will change of how you download images. But for sure it needs some fixing.
i simply cant understand how it works. when is press it it turns to "stop" to infinity
Quite useful, but only allows very limited customization: you can turn off the drag-saving function, but not the alt-click-saving function. It'd be perfect if I can stop it from interfering with Chrome's default alt-click behaviour.
It works for a while and later stop for no reason......
How to stop after it start
GREAT
completely wrecked my usb devices when I clicked on the download all button. Windows 10 is now spamming keys, gotta format now. Thanks for that. no a restart doesn't help, not even safe boot or switching keyboard. currently using windows on screen keyboard to type this.
terrible plug-in. I wanted to download a single image, at will, and noticed an option popped up asking something, so I click ok. Next thing is starts pulling down all the images from the site, which involves dozens of windows popping up causing all kinds of crashes.
Useful for quick downloads, slightly misleading as chrome defaults to alt + left click as download. The download every picture literally downloads every picture file no option to just download pics over certain pixels size. 'Click and Save' on the Chrome store is much better for a vierty of options allthough its cumbersome looking and not user frinedly but the default download all pictures on page worked better for me. just not enough options here
Downloads thumbnails not full res images, not /hr/ compatible.
Goes absolutely bananas on 500px.
Great, but can we please get an option to choose the default directory rather than the chrome default? If I'm going to be downloading 30-70 images at a time I'd rather have a place set aside to organise/keep them rather than my already busy downloads page
Love the tool, but hate the Google Analytics tracking. Not a very 'gentleman' gesture.
Request: is it possible to add an option to autoclose the tab when the downloading of the images finishes? I have to manually close the tab when I use your addon, doing it automatically will be a life-saver. other than that, it's a very good addon.
cannot filter image by file size
A really good Extension, but Options 2. and 3. are useless (for me). 2. doesn't work on images covered by a transparent gif, layer etc. 3. Well, for example I don't need user avatars, navigation icons, thumbnails, etc. Nevertheless, Option 1. does exactly what it should. That'll be 5 stars.
Did what I wanted with no fuss.
Ok so it does make picture saving in bulk a bit easier but goodness it is so annoying accidentally saving a picture from dragging it! Please add settings!!!
Would be a really great plugin if it would work. it worked for like 10 images and then any input from mouse or keyboard is blocked. Reebot was the only solution.
best image downloader, love alt click save function.
need settings.... TRACKING EVERY MOVE TO SELL THEM TO GOOGLE OR OTHERS... BEWARE.....
I enjoy the drag feature. I wish it would also allow me to click on the extension and download photos from a webpage like the extension image downloader since some pages don't allow you to drag a photo.
alt click to save works..
needs an option to disable "drag and save"
Could you add a setting to disable the drag to save? I like to save my images by dragging them director in related folders. But i would like to have the alt+click functionality! Also, putting the source code up on githup would be super cool too :)
5 Stars if you can add the option to disable downloading of an image if you drag it like 1 millimetre. So annoying!
Does pretty much exactly what I was looking for, I just wish there was a way to bulk download as an archive. As of now it downloads each image individually so if you're on a page with a large number of images you can expect Chrome to melt.
This extension was working, but know doesn't work at all.
I have tried several "one-click" image downloaders and this one is my favorite so far. It offers 2 ways to instantly saving (keyboard or mouse) and they both work well. It is just what I wanted.
Pretty good extension. If only the dev make that drag-to save thing disappear (sigh).
It's a great app. Exactly what i was looking for. One click save to the main download folder then move all the pics to the folder i want.
The reaction to ddownload is slow., should make this process faster perhaps
Why does the drag and save delete the numbers at the start of the filename?
Great, just what I needed. It saves so much time.
Well people this "gentleman" is TRACKING ALL YOUR DOWNLOADING to his Google Analytics!
Was okay but not working now. Oh, well...
Extension is awesome but is not working with latest chrome
Does a fantastic job but PLEASE make that drag-save an option. It's almost annoying enough to warrant uninstalling this extension, which I don't want to do
This just replaced my other three image downloaders! I don't understand it's name but it is a classy extension. Thank you!
Nice, It does the job and saves me time, I only wish I could choose the save folder, but its great.
If only there are some option about key and button and path settings
I decided to delete/deactivate as much of my online social presence as possible and was faced with the tedious task of re-downloading thousands of pictures uploaded by/of me that I no longer had copies of. This extension made it possible without breaking a sweat - I am very, very thankful!
nice work! and how to change the hotkey ? alt is used in ubuntu by system - -
I cant set download directories, should be high priority on the next update.
can't work on mac chrome
cool~ can u provide a setting, to automatically add prefix to the pic from the same page? i always dl pic from multi-pages, it's impossible to determine which pic is from which page. thx~
Works most excellently for, erm, being a gentleman. :)
need a way to set a default download directory that is different from the default chrome download directory
Perfect! Just cut my workload for my current project in half :)
