I used it often for my admin work, switching between servers really helps.

Perfect! Have been using for years! Really great for Sys Admins or IT guys/gals in general. Simply shows the IP of the webserver whether it pulls the IP from DNS or hosts file or... etc.

Very simple, but on some pages, the page's CSS affecs the display of the IP address in the corner. The extension's author could use shadow DOM to mitigate this.

Doesn't try to over complicate anything - light and useful.

I'm not sure who copied whom, but this has the same giant memory leak as the "Website IP" extension. Every single URL of every request just piles up in RAM until you restart the browser. After looking through these knockoffs, I'm beginning to doubt my sanity for designing IPvFoo as if memory were a finite resource. Has the world gone mad?

As someone who sometimes edits my host file to do local testing, this is absolutely indispensable.

Finally! An extension to show the address of the server I'm on, that respects my hosts file and doesn't use a remote system to do the lookup.

Works with version Google Chrome 18 (beta) or higher. Its the only extension that I know which supports IPv6 and does NOT make external requests to a web server to resolve the IP address, which is for me a real data privacy problem.
