Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I no longer have to scroll through 20 pages about how the author sourced the onions from a remote village in the Swiss Alps on a backpacking trip last summer, accompanied by a longwinded explanation about how it's their nephew's favorite.

I wish Google would rework its algorithm so we don't need plugins like this and "Jump to recipe" because they are still ranking posts based on the number of steps the author spends writing and illustrating how to boil a pot of water.

Works on basically every food blog I visit. They keep adding longer and longer blogs before you get to the actual recipe. This extension is a lifesaver!

Please add a "save recipe" feature -- imagine the powahhh!! 99% of my recipes are from internet and I use them and lose them :(

Best extension on chrome. I just noticed the metric/standard conversion and I'm in love!!!

It's a bit iffy. sometimes works great, sometimes does nothing. Perhaps working on about 1/3rd of the recipe sites I've come across.

This is one of the best browser extensions I've ever used. It gets rid of the life stories of someone I'll never meet and just shows me the recipe, which is all I really want. Thank you so much to Seansoft for making it available.

Amazing - as someone else said, either creates an really nice overlay as soon as the page loads or just extracts the required text.

could not get it to work on any site

I want to love it but so far I don't think it plays well with some of my other extensions but I can't figure out which one(s).

OMG I NEEDED THIS!! I get so frustrated when I search for a recipe and find a link, then have to scroll down through ten paragraphs and pictures and videos and ads to finally get down to the recipe itself. I've only tried a few sites so far, but on those it's worked flawlessly except for the ones that have the recipe right at the top already. I'd prefer it to do the same for those, so I can always look at it in the same format - but that is such a minor thing that I still give it five full stars :-)

Love it!! Feature request: The pop up window is always centered and 50% the width of the page. It is possible to make that configurable? I prefer it to be like 90 or 100%. I zoom in on recipes while cooking so I can read it while moving around. When I zoom in the text wraps making the full recipe less visible Thank you! I wish I found this years ago!

Great app. Cuts out all the unnecessary waffle from bloggers before the recipe at the end of the page. Brings the app to the front of the page in a box so you can easily see whether it's one you want to use. Highly recommended.

Absolutely essential browser extension for me to view any sort of recipe on a website. Makes easy to grab recipes and instructions for me to save as a pdf and reference later.

It's able to for the most part detect whether it needs to highlight a recipe or not with few exceptions on certain sites. When it does know to highlight a recipe it does so in a pop up overlaying the site.

This works on most of the cooking blogs I read - for the most part I really don't care much about the blogger's comments and it's a great way of getting past all that.

Absolute game changer. Cannot tell you how many recipes I've never made because I'd rather find another recipe than bother scrolling past the obnoxiously long attempt at food writing by some third-rate 'influencer'.

You are doing Gods work, Sean. I no longer have to scroll past 5 pages of story about how the author thought up the recipe while watching her daughter catching butterflies in the garden on a sunny day and running past the basil field in their front yard.

Excellent extension! I'm looking up recipes on a nearly daily basis and this speeds up the process by a ton by not having to read the life story of the recipe creator every time. My only caveat is that occasionally the formatting of the condensed version disappears. If a recipe uses an ordered list then sometimes those elements are ignored and you get one huge paragraph. I still prefer this over having to scroll for miles though.

This is possibly the greatest Chrome extension every created. I'll never have to scroll through a dozen poorly written paragraphs of asinine "backstory" before I can start making lasagna again.

Love it, but would agree it needs options to print, pdf, or send to Google Drive. That would make it just about perfect. UPDATE: The print feature is awesome! Now, is it possible to request the addition of sites that are not already included?

Works perfectly on about 1/3 of stupid recipe websites. A brilliant idea that works about 1/3 of the time to spare me the obnoxious ordeal of scrolling through page after page of mommy-blog-blather about kids and hubby and clean living. But more often than not, nothing comes up!

Incredibly useful. Would be five stars if it had a baked in print option (currently you're limited by the site you're on, which may have a broken print button or lack one entirely). For those of us who don't like to take our entire computers into the kitchen and still rely on saved recipes transferred to mobile devices, that would be a handy feature.

Where is the donation link? I need to give you money! Just for the sheer amount of saved time this has given me. Not to mention my sanity. Nothing frustrates me more than scrolling a hundred times just to finally get to the recipe. Thank you so much!!!!!

This works very well for me. I've tested it on a few different websites. At best, it renders a beautiful recipe overlay as soon as the page loads. At worst, the overlay is just a block of text. I used to "print" recipes as PDFs to use them in the kitchen, so this saves a step. Much appreciated!

Don't know if its just me, but out of about 6 cooking sites I visited, only one worked, and that was one used in the video. Has good potential, but until it recognizes the first few sites when googling "cooking", its a bit limited for me.

So far I've tested it on all the food blog sites I use that are the worst offenders about prepending recipes with lifestyle blog posts, and it works beautifully on them. Good idea and great (open source!) implementation.

This extension is awesome! As is the case with most extensions, there are a few websites here and there that don't really play well with Recipe Filter. For example, Pioneer Woman's recipes are a jumbled wall of text when using this. However, I would say the success rate for Recipe Filter is really high - above 90% - and that makes it a must have for me.
