I needed a fix, and this does nothing. Holding control, right clicks my cursor, so I can't highlight anything. Does not work.

So far, very helpful. How to unselect a selected word when it is in the middle?

Good for most webpages but does not work in Google Docs which is specifically where I wanted this functionality. Can't believe it's just build into Docs like any other word processing application.

Works great, it's simple as holding down CTRL key, no need to tinker with settings; just install it and forget it's there.

I'm seeing that it will work the first round, and then my copy function gets impaired. I find my Multiple Selection extension much more reliable.

Doesn't work on Mac. In desperation I tried both holding ctrl and holding cmd. On a web page, I select some text in paragraph 1. I then go down to paragraph 2 and hold cmd while selecting text there. The first selection in paragraph 1 instantly is unselected. The functionality is exactly as if the extension weren't installed at all. Chrome version: 92.0.4515.107 (Official Build) (x86_64) I have my Mac set to use three-finger drag for text selection. I don't see how that could be the problem, but I thought I'd mention it for completeness. I am bitterly disappointed because I REALLY REALLY would love for this extension to work!

excellent. frustrating to copy on the description only to read that chrome doesn;t allow, checked in wikipedia and works like a charm. great. being a uni student = GREAT EXTENSION

Does as it says. Can't ask for more than that, other than that this should already be a basic component in any and all browsers to begin with, but that's Google's idiocy. 5 stars :)

The idea is so great but it doesn't work for PDF files opened in browser and some sites. Hope this functionality will appear sometime

Seems to work in most sites. I downloaded it in the hope it would work on google docs, alas, it doesn't. Would love to see a google docs add-on which does this

I enjoy the ctrl and ctrl lock addition that I can now use, however, if you lock it and highlight something you don't want to highlight, you can't unhighlight that specific area while keeping what you do want highlighted. Could a de-select option be added or is there a de-select extension known that could be used? Furthermore, I have noticed that you cannot drag-and-drop highlighted text from a webpage. Could this be fixed? Thank you in advance.

It was working on some other sites, but it's not on blogger.com. I always write an article using the blogger text editor. I tried this extension, but it's not working. Hopefully, you will support multiline text selection on blogger. Thanks.

it is working in other websites but not in chrome store as writes. also it is not working in Drive. i needed to copy multiple text in drive.
