many different streamers use either 7tv or bttv stop trying to compete no one cares

Revert the changes. It was working fine with 7tv before the march 1st update. My experience is ruineD

Very poor performance overall, but the main thing is that the developer of this extension is a massive clown who cant stand competition.This bozo with fragile ego could not accept that 7tv became too popular and better in multiple ways. It is kinda sad to say goodbye to this extension, because i really enjoyed the blacklist feature. Just install 7tv + ffz or just ffz and turn on all emotes that you want

Yeah I'm thinking it's time to uninstall this garbage and install 7TV

7tv has way more features and free emote slots, BTTV is always following in their footsteps, just get 7tv and save yourself some time

I have changed several names to know that they are trolls and usually I see them with my change. Example, original nickname of some user is "nickname", I've modified it as "nickname (troll)" and usually I see it as "nickname (troll)". After recent (twitch?) update (yesterday) it shows in chat only original names. I can see my modification only if I click to "edit" username, but in chat it's still an original name. It greatly affects moderation process because I'm as a moderator check only messages from those suspicious users (that I marked manually) because chat goes quite fast. Now, it's gone. Please fix.

Great addition to the Twitch experience, however, the custom chat font gets applied, and then it reverts backs to the default.

absolutely terrible. makes u pay so much for like 3 emote slots. GET 7TV (600 free slots!) If you're after the settings more than the emote slots, bttv is so broken, FFZ offers way more and way better config options.

Have enjoyed having the extension and makes watching Twitch much better. Recently however the reverse chat direction has not been working which was my favorite feature. Disappointed that it's no longer working

i love options it offers little things like Auto-claim Bonus Channel Points and a bunch of others + it works on youtube

For some reason i can not see emotes when other people type them? does anyone know how to fix this? I can use the emotes when i type them but when someone else does i can not see them?

Always enjoyed using this, but now I don't seem to see the results of any commands being entered in the chat. Which is kinda annoying when streamers are posting links (via commands) to discords, etc. Looked through the settings and couldn't find anything to correct this, but am hoping I missed something obvious!

It does work on Twitch but doesn't work on YouTube? Most of my favorite streamers moved to YouTube and it's my first time using these emote extensions.

Is it Better twitch or Twitch that removed the ability to see when a account was created by clicking the name? Now it only shows the follow date.

Have the settings changed? In some channels I'm seeing "message deleted by a moderator" but on others I still see the message when deleted.

Bonus points not being auto-claimed. I can see the green box but it's not being auto-claimed

Good plugin, but "Reverse chat direction" doesn't seem to work anymore! Some issue with a recent Twitch chat layout update (from about a week ago).

Didn't work at all to stop twitch videos from auto playing when on channels. Eventually (usually when clicking another tab) the videos begin auto playing again against your will and this app doesn't stop it from happening. This isn't necessarily this apps fault as it's just twitch being a horrible website compared to YouTube (which doesn't shove auto playing videos in your face) but this claims to stop that and it doesn't.

Amazing extension which fixes a lot of QoL issues within Twitch. Twitch is constantly fighting to force viewers into watching ads and BetterTTV helps a lot.

Love BTTV, thanks for making twitch far better! Since I know twitch doesn't implement QoL features, I implore you, beautiful NightDev, to help multi monitor users avoid the popup for "pin streams". Switched chat side to avoid as much as possible, which so far is a good enough workaround for me.

It is by, no joke, pure chance that the global emotes work properly on most sites. And somehow, they always load on only YouTube which means they are over-testing the YouTube support feature way too damn much, meaning that they are wasting their time AND resources to this feature and need to put it aside partially to have the global emotes always working. Manage your time and resources better, jesus.

Extension is constantly sending me to SearchValidation.com every time I use the Search engine. Only when extension is on/activated.

Show deleted messages is not working on chrome anymore, firefox stopped as well but was fixed after 7.4.31 update, can you look at chrome tooo.

Was working fine up until yesterday (7/18/22) when I noticed certain features weren't working properly despite restarting and making sure the extension was up to date. Notably joining chat anonymously hasn't been working.

Having a couple issues as of lately. 1) auto-play on the main page can not be disabled anymore, no matter what settings I enable/disable 2) deleted messages in chat can no longer be displayed, no matter what settings I enable/disable 3) Better Twitch TV Emotes are no longer available

have used this for a long time, but just recently noticed one of my favorite features, show deleted messages, isn't working. not sure if channels can disable that on their end, but it's not working in at least the one i am watching now.

Autoplay on twitch homepage is not stopping anymore. Tried enabling and disabling it multiple times but keeps autoplaying.

***edit*** all good now ---------------------------------- recent change on emotes is SO BAD, reverse it please. Please keep your 3rd party emotes separate from default twitch emotes, or make it not auto closing panel after clicking one emote!

click to play/pause is not working. Tried toggling it on and off again and still refuses to work and only in the past week or so hasn't been working. Please fix it.

Auto-Theatre Mode is still broken for me.

Auto theatre is technically fixed. However, I tried loading a vod and it: Put the stream into a weird amalgamation of theatre mode mixed with the homepage Put the stream at full volume Disabled click to play / pause Showed a live chat option even though I was watching a vod Disabled / didn't show the chat replay. Edit: Everything is working now for whatever reason. Back to 5 stars.

Adds a bunch of features to Twitch that greatly improve the experience. Reliably, well supported and regularly updated.

HUGE disappointment that we cannot turn off color corrections with BTTV. I would like to keep the same chat color that I have on twitch. BTTV changes colors completely and you have no option to change it back.

Was good while it lasted (2015 to 2022).... It's slow (enabling emotes), very limited vs 7TV now and I feel is now obsolete 7TV is the place to go now <3

Amazing extension for Twitch! Could an option to delay chat be added? Chat is 3 seconds behind the stream which makes it far less enjoyable.

When I installed, it asked me to give it access to twitch chat, but then the google access popup told me that it needed access to youtube. That was kinda suspicious, then I started noticing that the description of youtube videos were replaced with links to twitch. It does all the cool stream stuff but I'm wondering why it's doing that now.

It took me several days of googling and looking through the settings to get it to work. You have to find hidden settings in Twitch and Youtube to get it to work on Youtube.

Have been using it for years, hopefully you can add auto claim moments soon. Cheers.

It's a must for me. BUT there's one major feature missing to make it a 5 star, option to automatically remove me from raids.

It's a fantastic extension, but please just work with 7TV + FrankerfaceZ to have all the twitch emotes from the 3 extensions in one place. It would honestly elevate the extension.

Great Extension!, Here's a tip: if you're using this extension along with FrankerFaceZ, make sure you review all of the options in both extensions to make sure you're not overlapping on any settings that would conflict with each other. More importantly, make sure you're only using the special emote menu on *one* of the extensions!

Downloaded it so I can stop Twitch from auto-playing on the homepage. "Click on your avatar on the top right, open BetterTV Settings, and go to the Settings tab" Cool. There isn't one. All I see is Chat Settings, Directory Settings, Channel Settings, Emote Dashboard, and Changelog. I checked every one and not one offered the choice to stop auto-play.

I love the extension but for some reason I can't use BetterTTV emotes on Twitch, when I installed it the first time I can see all the emotes now I can't use them but I can still see them.

Disable autoplay doesn't work at all. No point to downloading this extension.

Great extension!

Ever since the update BTTV completely disables twitch chat. It just says "Connecting to chat" and never connects. Disabling other extensions doesn't fix it, disabling BBTV fixes it immediately. After reinstalling BTTV it works for a short while and then starts killing chat again. All in all, it was a great extension that is now completely unusable.

Nobody uses Twitch emotes on Youtube, so let me disable it on Youtube. Youtube streams are laggy as is, I don't need an extension - that does nothing - making it worse.

This is an extension that is so intertwined with the community with Twitch, that I can't imagine not having it. Would rate more than 5 stars if I could.

It was working and amazing when I fist got it ! but when i used twitch today all the colors of the names in chat turned white and I couldn't see the channel points and the bttv emotes didnt work!

I want the option to be able to disable any emotes I don't like back. Been nearly month of this worse version of BTTV now.

Latest update is hot garbage, takes up lot more space, removed features like being able to pin the window to chat and keep it open, etc. Absolutely hate it now, thanks BTTV.

Emote menu keeps disappearing with latest update. I have to go into the settings, disable it, then reenable it whenever I go into a new stream.

New menu looks bad & doesn't even work in mod view. The only positive is the emotes don't have to be reloaded every time you close & open the menu

They are working on fixing the menu so it can popout, it would also help to show us how to favourite emotes

Horrendous new update, disgusting layout & the overall emote quality when sorting through has degraded so badly it hurts to look at now. Emote menu button keeps vanishing just like my desire to use it until it improves or reverts. Who asked for this update? modCheck

DO NOT LIKE THE UPDATED MENU! Overriding the twitch emote tray is a deal breaker for me. The new menu is more difficult to navigate as well. I am turning off the bttv emote menu and will check later to see if it's gone back to the way it was before before uninstalling.

at least let us hide any unwanted emotes

do not like the current update, please do not force us to replace the original twitch emote menu if we want to have easy access to unique selection of bttv emotes added per-channel.

Was a very good extension. Added tons of stuff to Twitch, but the new update killed it. You actually get less features, and it interferes with FFZ now. It's harder to find the emotes you want, it's slower to navigate, it takes up more space while showing less information, etc. I had to shut off the emote menu it's that bad. They tried to fix what wasn't broken and broke it themselves. The least the dev's should do is make it a separate menu again (which it seems like they might be doing), but that'll only help, not fix the issues. I don't want to bash the developers work, but most of the work they did was unnecessary and caused problems. Now it's up to them to fix it.

Insane app, definitely mandatory already. Add FFZ as well, and you'll get a load of smiles + the option of bugging streama to enable this or that emote. KEKW Weird "fix" tho, cannot see streamer emotes now, when not subbed to him. Or it's FFZ stuff.

BTTV Is awesome, rating 1/5 because the new emote menu is atrocious.

new patch has the BTTV emote menu on Google Chrome all out of whack, please change it back, I don't want regular emotes and BTTV emotes in the same window, I want them to be separated like it has always been.

The new update with the emote menu really ruined BTTV for me. I'm debating removing it just because it took over the normal emote menu. I think BTTV emotes need to be separate from actual emotes. It's too confusing to find out what's a BTTV emote and what is a normal twitch emote. If you are not subbed to a channel you are unable to preview the twitch emotes in the channel. BTTV completely removes your ability to see them. So you have no idea if you want to sub for emotes cause you have no preview of the emotes you would obtain. Who approved this change cmon bttv you were great.

Upgrade permission to include youtube and go to settings, disable auto allow access and then just enable for twitch

A must-have extension if you frequent Twitch. From blocking ads, being able to use/view more emotes, and even hiding recommended channels, once you go BTTV you won't go back.

New update adds Youtube support for Twitch emotes. It also adds a reoccurring popup telling you to "Upgrade Permissions" for your browser. It's not a question, there is no option. Going through the BetterTTV settings on Twitch brings you to the same popup screen. If there is an option after clicking "Upgrade Permissions", I don't care enough about this app to risk it/find out.

Great, but would be even greater if it stopped giving me pop-ups to upgrade its permissions for YouTube. I don't want to upgrade its permissions for YouTube. I just want it for Twitch. Stop interrupting me to try and get me to do it.

Uninstalled due to forced popup requiring extra permissions. I closed the popup once without granting as I wasn't particularly interested in the new features, but it popped up again 2 or 3 times since. I have no interest in continuing to use an extension, especially one that serves as an entertainment periphial, that forces popups over potentially important things I am currently working on.

With the upgraded permissions, it is running ads in what appears to be whatever is the top comment, the ad is for curiosity stream and nebula. I removed the extension and it went back to normal.

usually really good but it's mostly stopped working after the latest update. Host button doesn't show, anon chat keeps giving the message to say I can't speak whenever I type '/join', etc. only thing I see working is highlighted words.

New update feels like 50% of its features have been either dumbed down or removed completely. New chat filtering is dogshit, having to enter each word one by one. Font change removed? Font size? So many things missing. Went too hard on trying to make the UI seem minimalist by removing useful things.
