Works fine in Brave. Does not work in Edge Version 109.0.1481.0 (Official build) dev (64-bit). "Invalid token". (Yes, I've renewed the token)
Apparently it does not work with the mobile app (Android) only works with desktop version. This may have been notated somewhere but I just didn't see it. Unfortunate because I have doing most of my work on a tablet. Still using the Joplin app though - really liking it thus far. Thank you and keep up the great work.
Did nothing when I clicked it. I just gave a status message telling me it was connecting to the Joplin application but got nothing after that.
Amazing extension
Really needs to add ctrl+f function when adding new notes, as I have too many folder. As I have need both for structure and tags... Also like 5 recent folders, recent tags etc. Would help a ton!!! If this has voice control, that would be my wet dreams...
Amazing app, open source and good features to care your data.
Joplin is great. This extension is useless. I've enabled the Web Clipper service and confirmed that it is listening on the specified port. All the extension does is show a small box that says "Permission Needed" and "Starting..."
It does not work, only this error message, and when you search for support the only response that you find, is to search for it, with no results. This is the error: "Permission needed The Joplin Web Clipper requires your authorisation in order to access your data. To proceed, please open the Joplin desktop application and grant permission. Note: Joplin 2.1+ is needed to use this version of the Web Clipper."
Since the update it has been showing "Permission needed" and not working
It always shows permission needed but doesn't work.
It. Just. Works. install the extension, start the service from the desktop client and you are done. This has saved me a tonne of time during research projects.
Joplin puts Evernote to shame. And it's free, open-source and has a native Linux app. Evernote exists since 2008 and they still didn't bother making a Linux version. Thanks for Joplin and this Chrome extension!
joplin must be installed on your machine for it to work. I love the simplicity of everything.
Does a great job. One small request, when clipping a link to the page it was clipped from would be handy.
best of best open source, finally some brought to us top-notch app, many thanks!!!
so good
Best Note taking tool I've ever used! Syncs with pretty much all popular cloud services like Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive..etc I thank the developer for his great work on Joplin. 5 stars all the way!
The best companion with the Joplin notes taking application. You can for example save web pages in Markdown and added those automatically in your Joplin notes. It's open source, stable and it works out-of-the-box.
Unfortunately, doesn't work. When trying to use the extension (by clicking the icon, and with the Joplin clipper service running), the following error message is received: `The Joplin extension is not available on this tab due to: tabsExecuteScript: Cannot load {"file":"/content_scripts/JSDOMParser.js"}: The extensions gallery cannot be scripted.`
A pleasant, most remarkable opensource alternative to Evernote! One simple request: "add to Joplin" on right-click text selection.
Finally found a replacement to evernote/onenote. Joplin is amazing.
Surprisingly good given that Joplin is the open source alternative to Evernote and OneNote. I've had better luck getting clean, simplified clips from this than I have with Evernote or OneNote. The preview is nice and works well.
Best Evernote replacement I've eve found yet and the web clipper extension works great.
Perfect extension for amazing app!
Very quickly Joplin has become my go-to note-EVERYTHING application, and this web-clipper works so far in every case (I come from both Evernote and Onenote) that those clippers do, AND MANY MORE. Yes, this free, open-source solution based on simple open standard of markdown is a safe choice as your data is stored in a format that, unlike the others, is not dependent on the note-taking application to read it. Every single update has been better than the last and I cannot wait to see where the future takes Joplin!
hello! thanks for that tool! unfortunatelly screenshot clipping doesn't work properly when scaling in Windows 10 isn't set to default value (I mean 100%). check this out. 4 stars only for get attention for that comment, I'll surely change it for 5 stars! ;)
Equivalent features to the other, more well known note app. Joplin is a fantastic alternative.
Much better than "Evernote Web Clipper"!
