Hi this use to work fine but now the icon seems to clash with other icons on the toolbar meaning I cant select it

Nice and clean, but it would be perfect if it had a 'favorites' tab to store our most used gifs...

Installed the extension but it does not show up on my tool bar in my gmail when sending emails??? Anyone help?

Doesn't work on my Chromebook: Asus Flip. Just shows the Chrome Store page although it shows as installed in my extensions. Someone needs to get their Giphy homework up to date. Uninstalling ITMT.

I love using this in my Gmail. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work in my Google business account. I use two different Google Chrome accounts open simultaneously: one for my personal Gmail account, and one for my business email, which is hosted by Google. I know that my business Google email account functions almost exactly the same as my Gmail account, but every once in a while there are some features that are different. One of these seems to be the GIPHY for Gmail Chrome extension. Even though I have it installed on both Chrome accounts, it only works on the Gmail account. When I'm in my biz email, the GIPHY extension favicon turn from gray to colored, but the icon is missing from the formatting options in my email compose window. I work around this by using my Gmail account to find a GIPHY I want to send; then I'll copy-paste it into my biz email.

Great extension - very useful for adding quick GIFs, and fun reactions right from gmail. Their latest update has a new animated text feature where you can write whatever you want and animate the text itself. Fun stuff!

GIPHY for Gmail is AWESOME. Check out the Emoji and Text tabs they are ?

Excellent extension. Only thing I would change is I would stop it from adding the little line of text that is added as an advertisement, at the bottom of the Gif. Easy enough to delete and not a real deal-breaker.

SO easy to use!

I'm part of a large extended romantic family, and sometimes it's hard to think of new things to say in our weekly email roundups. With GIPHY for Gmail, I can keep conversations with my polycule fresh and fun. Instead of just saying "great job" when a metamour emails to talk about how they closed a large account at the office, I can send a "great job" GIF of Michael Scott from that show about an office. Highly recommend!

Awesome and works fine. People should learn to use computers better instead of blaming the plug-in. PEBKAC. Update chrome, if you think somethings blocking the plugin head to the giphy site (if it's blocked) your firewall or web filters stopping the connection and the plugin won't work either, if you CAN access the giphy site but the plugin isn't working, then disable ALL your plugins and sign out of all your google accounts, clear your browser cache and restart Chrome, better even restart the computer. Then re-enable ONLY giphy plugin. You have to set it to be 'seen' in incognito if that's important to you. Once that works re-enable other plugins and check each time for anything stopping giphy.

Will not work at all. It used to. I re-installed it and still won't work. I must have some program blocking it. Wish I knew.

Not working for me as well! No GIF images are showing up.

Not working for me:::Using Google Inbox and when I drag the Gif, nothing happens and the extension closes.

Censored garbage. There is also no way to efficiently scroll when selecting from a group spanning below the fold.

This extension now asks for elevated permissions and then hijacks Chrome with a popup about antivirus.

Seems to be hijacking chrome with latest update. Get a popup that says "Your computer is infected. You have to check it with antivirus." Then a redirect to chromeupdates.top/tds.php?subid=ce This goes away when I disable the giphy extension.

It used to work just fine in Gmail, but then the app pic got grey (although enabled alright), and it does not work in emails anymore.

The new version (15 feb. 2017) makes the scroll bar in Gmail disappear. Try to switch off the extension if you have that issue.

Add support for Inbox by Gmail. I use that service more and would like to not have to switch over to gmail everytime I want to use the app.

Crashes if I use the search function. The preloaded search results work fine. Two stars until they fix this bug. Possible conflicting factors: - Google apps (business domain) - Other extensions for Gmail (Boomerang, Hellosign, Switch.co)

makes sharing gifs in gmail fun + sexy

This app injects the google analytics script, which, aside from violating your privacy, could be used to sideload malicious js. On most pages this wouldn't be much of a problem, but being able to silently see and edit every email you send is a step too far.

Works great for me in Gmail but not Inbox which is what I primarily work with. 5 Stars for Inbox enablement.

This makes emailing even more fun at work...
