Great tool
Some of my books have an illustrator or foreword and instead of listing my name as the author, ReaderScout lists the secondary contributor on the page it generates. This would be far more useful if it showed the actual price and number of reviews instead of having users click a button to see the Amazon book page. The limit of five books may serve some people, but I have more than five I want to check, so not so useful.
Downloaded as instructed, went to book on Amazon I want to monitor, instructions say click on icon, but no icon appears.
Mine is struggling to work in Chrome. It hangs most of the time, with just a spinning circle. Once, when I closed and opened it again, it 'added the book, but not again. It's taken several hours just to add 3.
Since I don't use chrome, it doesn't play well with edge. Gets me to the google sign in which is redundant since I'm already logged in, and it stops. Clicking the button goes nowhere. I'd really like it to work, so I'm giving it three stars in hopes the problem can be fixed, and I'm not one to tank a rating because something wasn't quite right for me.
You've advertised this into the low content community. I have a small number of books for that community - just 300 - but only being able to add 5 books is a waste of time for anyone making low to mid-content books.
I've just started trying it out, but I can only add 5 books to the watchlist. I have eight right now and more coming out soon.
Great little free tool that gives me peace of mind. I love knowing that I'll always know about any price changes without having to manually track each of my books.
Great potential now that my earlier issue is fixed ...( my old review - Nope ... it keeps asking for a sign in and the link doesn't work ...) Time will tell how useful this is going to be but I have great hopes based on my interaction with the developers.
Love it but would it be possible to add more than 5 books? thanks :)
This is going to seriously help me track not only my books price - but any new reviews as well. So helpful. Thanks!!
Not working for me -- I get a Google Sign In button that doesn't work. And I'm already signed into Google. Edit: I moved the rating up to 3 stars (considering it as neutral) until I can test the extension. I exited the browser, and when I launched it again the Google login appeared, followed by a request to give ReaderScout access permission. So I think it's probably working now. I'll test it and report back as soon as I can.
Having fun with this so far. Super thankful for a free tool right now. (Note: I first tried to use it with Brave, but I think it only works with Chrome browser. Just FYI for other Brave users.)
This works great. Thank you Hank, for spending time with me and helping me get it working on my Mac.
I love having the ability to get updates for my books daily, when reviews go live without having to obsessively check in. Also, knowing that I'll be alerted to any price changes automatically gives serious peace of mind. I'm loving it and really appreciate the thought that went into this tool for indie authors.
Great Tool!
Awesome!
