Absolutely incredible, I wish this was a standard option in browsers. Sick of Discord trying to force me to either download files or embed them in-frame (I hate embeds in a text client), this lets me click an mp4 link someone posted and just watch it in a separate tab without downloading it.
BEST EXTENSION EVER. As a student who constantly has to view files for school, the storage on my computer would've been wrecked if it wasn't for this. Thank you!!!
I spent 9+ hours trying to figure out how to force a video to play in chrome instead of downloading it, it wasn't until I stumbled upon this extension that I finally got it to work!!!! Thank you so much. Now I understand the root issue is that each link sets its content-disposition and thanks to this extension the power is now back in the users control to decide! This is an absolute life saver.
For files that can't be viewed (like zip files), it butchers the file name. Just tested, same file, with this extension enabled and disabled, and this was the culprit. It's nice when it works, but definitely not worth dealing with that.
You can use it to open the videos and other files from Discord instead of saving them ?
finally I found this, thanks it works so good
Works as expected. Kudos.
works about 80% of the time. Doesn't work for e.g. https://www.haigekassa.ee/sites/default/files/Kiirabi/A5_tegevusjuh-skeemid_netti_0.pdf which "No PDF Download" handles just fine
My (jpg) images from whatsapp web still ask to be downloaded first.
Thank you so much, this should really be a default feature
Does its job, thumbs up.
Easy, simple, perfect. I'm lucky to have found this. Puts an end to Chrome downloading files instead of just opening them in a tab. It drove me nuts until I stumbled across this extension because I never knew what to search for to explain. Me happy.
Really thanks, i loved it
Amazing. I receive a lot of image files and I just need to have a quick look at them, will same me tons of time to preview them quiclky in browser instead of downloading. The toggle is a real PLUS, I used the non fork version before but this one is oviously better :)
