Absolutely needed. Can't stand that "Close tabs to right/left" button. It's not convenient, it's obnoxious and I occasionally fat-finger it and need to re-open my tabs one at a time. Love this extension.
Doesn't work.
Was a useful little utility, then they decided to open a nag screen every frikkin' time you launch Chrome. Enough of an annoyance that I opened it up to see if I could use it to find a thread I'd had trouble findng. ALL MY DATA WAS GONE - probably about the time of the nag screen install. So fed up with these jerks that I reinstalled just to write this review, and will be deleting immediately after. ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME, DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS EXTENSION.
One wants the undone tab to be focused. Why else would you undo a closed tab?
LAST UPDATED 3 YEARS AGO!!! *** BEWARE!! *** NO WAY TO REDUCE TEXT SIZE!! :( NO DARK VERSION! :( SEARCH GOOD!! PAGINATION GREAT!!
Expect to undo a closed window rather only tabs
Only remembers the last page. If you click the back arrow, it doesn't work.
תטסף נהדר ופשוט לשימוש, כולל אפשרות חיפוש. מדי פעם מפסיק לעבוד - כלומר לא שומר יותר כתובות, אז מסירים ומתקינים שוב. לא קורה הרבה.
Thank you for this. Easy to use, some useful options to tweak the look and feel, does what it's supposed to and gets out of the way.
I was able to "save" settings by going into Options of plugin, setting your preferences, and saving. Then go into developer options and under console type: localStorage["settings"] = JSON.stringify(settings); Closed and reopened browser and settings were persistent. For some reason that line in the code wasn't writing config/settings to "local storage", and it was using the defaults every time. Running the above command saves it to the plugin storage, done.
Please add a feature "export all closed tabs history". tqvm. chromium-based browsers disable the best features provided by Firefox, "Recently closed tabs" "Recently closed windows" "Page Info"
I've used it for around 5-6 months so far without a single problem. It's perfect at what it does and I only miss one thing coming over from Firefox previously, it would be nice if it remembered the history for that tab, so you could pull it back up and still go pack to the previous page it had; Even if it was something like the first couple of pages back that would be enough for me to 5 star it :) It's not a real problem most times but I always need to leave room for improvement and an other star down the line should that be the case.
I've felt compelled to leave a review since Google removed Chrome's ability to re-open a closed tab. Apparently no one used it, but like some small features no one uses, many grow accustomed and almost used to it. I kind of felt hung out to dry with this change. I'm not going to go down to the start bar and right click on chrome and select the tab I just closed. I was lost for a week or two until I found Sexy Undo Close Tab. While not the same, it's arguably better, it saves every single closed tab and you can clear those out as well. Easy 5 stars for me. I just hope in this case, I'm not jeopardizing my privacy or security by using it.
Off the record extension stopped working. This working great now.
Have to apply the settings every time the browser is started. 'Save for sure' ?? - I don't think so. It does the job tho' so I'll give it 4. (Brave browser based on Chrome).
In general I liked it and would have given it 5 stars IFF it supported proper tab restoration (with navigation history) like some other products (such as iChrome).
Settings won't save, so it won't keep my selections for keeping all tabs and not just the current session, or how many tabs to show per page. Sometimes the option saves, sometimes it reverts. No explanation.
Why is this showing 2421 closed tabs yet when I open it to find a closed tab from a couple hours ago, it only shows 12 tabs from the last 47 minutes; I see no way to move to a prior window with more tabs! I will try to reinstall this and my review can be upgraded if the thing begins to work.
It's quite sexy!
s e x y a n d I k n o w i t
genarally works well, however every time i close/reopen the browser, I have to reset the default settings to my preference. Pain in the butt
Super !!!
Useless... Not working properly....
Doesn't save settings.
I was really excited to try this extension out... Until I got the notification that it would cause Chrome to run continuously in the background. So I uninstalled it. Guess I'll have to look for a different app.
Does the Job!
Settings don't save. Extension is only good if you want to use the default options.
It's useful, but kind of ugly
As a background app that runs whenever my computer boots even if I'm not using the browser, it's not worth it.
Useful extension. Could be improved by providing a way to get to the search box using keys alone. For example, once it's activated, use the "/" key.
Absolutely love this tool BUT sometimes it does not show all closed tabs, (compare with the "Closed Tabs" list in Chrome History to see the difference). That being said, I use it nearly every day - usually with success.
doesn't work, can only see the bottom of the dropdown window
Great extension, will save your closed tabs for months on end. After 4 years of using this, I still can't figure out how to clear from a point in history without clearing ALL closed tabs. This is bad, because at some point, the closed tabs gets so full, (past 20,000+), then you must delete ALL of them, not some, before it will function again. There needs to be a way to delete more than 1 tab at a time, so you can keep saving a minimum of 2-3 months at a time, without deleting 2 years worth all at once when the stupid thing stops working. WHO has time to selectively delete 400 - 600 tabs every week, one at a time? So for any person who is busy and uses their browser 21+ hours a day, it's SAVE ALL the Closed tabs, (or NONE), until it stops working, and then delete them ALL and start over from scratch with no saved tabs. There is no warning before this happens, and when it does, the >> to go to the beginning and delete 1 tab at a time from there button disappears, and then your only option is to CLEAR every tab and start over with a brand new extension. Such a bad, annoying, must-be-fixable flaw.
Settings aren't getting persisted when exit and reopen Chrome (for both latest in Stable and Beta channels), even though clicked the Save button after making edits to extension's Options. Also, causes Chrome to always run in background - which is unexpected and no way to disable via its Options and have that persisted - as detailed further below. If click Save button they edits to Options still show up next time open Options in the *same session* However, even that could just be because Options page isn't recreated, since - another issue: The settings aren't even applied immediately (eg. to disable the badge) ever, even during the same session. Because of this, this extension keeps Chrome always running in the background all the time, with a dozen processes, for some mostly unwanted and very unclear "Saved Closed Tabs even if I close Chrome" option, and the annoying badge always shows up - and with seemingly incorrect number of 723 despite having just installed the extension, especially when only about 10 entries are shown, this is counterintuitive and unknown what its supposed to mean. Also, please disable "Saved Closed Tabs even if I close Chrome" BY DEFAULT, as that is NOT expected functionality of this extension, and makes it seem like malware because of that. And ideally disable the badge by default too.
Life saver!
A great add one
works perfect every time, and remembers a butt load of tabs
Absolutely fantastic!
good
Great app
My favorite
The best.
I miss the history of the tab.
Definitely it very cool & sexy to recover any accidentally closed tabs and it can store a large history of >1000 tabs awesomely sexy again.
you guys nailed it..... awesome though if i close a tab while it is still loading, it is not shown in the list. please do something about it.
从firefox开始用撤销页面插件,到chrome的这个插件,一直很喜欢,浏览器必备
Started using it years ago. Never looked back...
great and helpful
Please update UI with materil design
Awesome!! Highly recommended!!
The best one in the category.
excellent!
The perfect extension.
yup, does its job competently.
Works flawlessly. Delivers what it promises, and it does it perfectly.
I don't use it often, but when I need it, it's there and does the job very well.
a nice simple practical tool and very helpful
Very simple very good. It is what you expect.
So simple... So useful...
woderful
Incredibly helpful.
Poor extension. Tab history is missing. Ugly ugly UI
没中文
Awesome... just awesome
Frequently doesn't register tabs closing.
So useful, so often ...
很好用
very useful,比浏览历史好用很多
Best undo tab I have ever used! Please stay alive and make our lives more beautiful! I will consider donations when I start to work :) Good job!
Best undo extension available.
I find this to be a very useful extension that saves me a lot of time and keeps me from a lot of unnecessary frustration. Thank You!.
good extension
Best. Extension. Ever.
Best extension for undo closed tabs and one of the most useful extensions existing, I don't know why is sometimes missing from Google store! I would give it six stars rating if possible!
i love it
One of the most useful extensions I've come across to date!
works as advertised, its great, doesnt get in teh way
One of the more useful plugin's I've found.
Much faster than navigating through the menus to recent tabs, works like a charm. For those of you who don't know, the Ctrl+Shift+T command will reopen your last closed tab, speeds up recovering from accidental tab closures even more.
Good to have undo close APP.
Its like the word sex but with a y in it
Love it~ I kept closing tabs then going through my history to try and find them. Now I don't have to :)
just a little issue with the fast search. other wise awesome
A good tool for web working
What a great app!! There have been countless times I've closed a tab only to want to get to it again... this app does just that. Love it!
Aug, 2011 5 Stars ***** Just works! could use some extra features needs updating to make more functional! June, 2014 3 Stars *** Love it been using for years now! to remove the adware threat checkmark the i don't want to support this extension or the dev at the very bottom in options! *** three stars because the DEV gave us an option to uncheck the invasion of ads by not supporting the extension thank you! so My feelings about this is thats great and all! But you can never trust DEVS to take more then they are only allowed I'd suggest UNChecking if you want to support the dev and you don't mind your USER DATA that is being collected to be resold by the dev to whomever and who ever! Otherwise CHeckMark it and be done with the adware intrusion and go donate something to the dev if you can afford it! Every dev want to make something for their efforts! support if you can afford! IMHO just by installing this how much it asks for anyways in permissions is enough for dev to collect data he needs without the adware crap to resale or improve the app itself! despite the built in adware factory going on in it! Ads included for a service that isn't updated properly? no thanks
哈哈啊
It's awesome.
Great plugin(extension) for chrome. It not only remember all closed tabs but also manage them and show them in nice way that make your undo easier.
Easy to use
simple and perfect
really good, but i hate the ads. pls stap
love it -saved me many times while the history function had crashed
useful
Extremely useful and have found myself using it often.
So easy - thanks :)
Very Good!
Awesome
Amazingly helpful. Ctrl-Q (close window) is so close to Ctrl-Tab and Ctrl-A, so it saves me a lot of accidental closing. Thanks!
Options are having basic problems. Cannot increase no. of tabs from default 12 and no. of lines from 'no limit' to any other value. Has become less useful and problem has been already reported earlier -- but no response!
