I like the simplicity and style of this extension. However, I have found that pressing Ctrl + Shift + A chrome gives a similar feature ?.
Very useful extension. But the new chrome update includes a similar option for tab search.
Amazing! An absolutely essential extension, one of the best out there. Literally every chrome user should install it.
with 70 tabs tried under brave on linux this is one of the two fastest "tab dropdown" extensions. unlike most extensions of this kind, it has no layout issues when the favicons don't work. the geometry is configurable. the list entries have the same height, so oversize ones will be truncated - if you prefer the opposite, try the VerticalTabs extension.
Nice extension for navigating between tabs but the popup is sluggish to open.
This used to be the BEST extension. As others have said, its simplicity and effectiveness was amazing. But recently seems to work less well. When searching for a tab with a keyword, the results show lots of tabs which as far I can see do NOT have that key word. Makes it a lot less useful. Has anything changed in the latest versions?
Could be best extension for me due to simplicity and clean UI, but navigation through search results is broken. After tab search, when you press Up or Down keys, it behaves weird, skipping some results. Please fix it and I'll change to 5 stars. Otherwise good extension.
After the update it is not possible to remove multiple tabs in the drop down menu - if you try to remove tabs near one another the last tab you removed returns. It is almost bad enough to find a replacement.
Could be 5 stars, but new version has 2 issues: 1) When I search for "Facebook" tab it doesn't show it even if I have several FB tabs open, really strange (other searched tabs are shown, only FB not)... 2) It doesn't always delete the tab when I do the right-click... I wish I can have old version back.
I discovered this extension a couple of months ago, and it quickly replaced Tabs Outliner as my preferred tab finder. The ability to quickly find-as-you-type is a real time saver. Unfortunately, the latest update has partially broken the search feature because a blank space always causes 0 hits. So if I type "New England", no tabs will show even if I have an open tab entitled "New England geography". I really hope this gets fixed. Quick Tab's effectiveness has severly diminished since the previous version.
All of a sudden, latest version you right-click and it starts moving tabs around without closing them?? I've been relying on this for years but now it's annoying and there's no option to revert to normal function in sight. Very disappointed with latest downgrade of an update and will probably remove.
exellent
Would be great to have option to sort by alphabetical order.
exellent app non others come close in functionality
Best tab manager ever, thers didnt not needt features.
When you have 100+ tabs open, you probably ended up opening gmail several times. This now lets me find my existing gmail tab instead of opening a new one every time I need to check my email. UPDATE: It seems to only search the tabs of the current window. That's helpful but could be better if there was a way to search the tabs of all the windows at once. UPDATE2: Seems to be fixed! If you're looking for the source, you can find it here: https://github.com/tomlerendu/Quick-Tab
needs some basic functions like sorting, pinning, maybe close by domain... I'd say saving a group but that's pretty advanced. Good luck with it!
Used to be one of my favourite extensions but no longer. It now doesn't show the tabs of the current window but ALL tabs of all windows, which is far less helpful.
Something missed on chrome (compared to Firefox). Simple and useful. Thanks.
it wasn't exactly what i was looking for, but it turns out it is exactly what i needed! this extension makes navigating multiple tabs a breeze.
needs keyboard navigation to be useful. If I have to click to use it, I'm not going to use it. Bye!
Very good. Only thing what's missing, is some kind of an icon to show which tab is playing audio. When I'm having lots of tabs open, they get too small and won't show the audio-playing icon on the tab-bar anymore, so it would be nice to have them in the list.
Solves the problem as intended.
The interface is clean but not user friendly. Even if assign a keyboard shortcut thru Extension Management then also switching to a tab requires mouse interaction. Its a well known fact that keyboard shortcuts are more efficient to work with then mouse clicks
It will be great if I can drag to reorder tabs in the tab dropdown.
Very useful when there are a multitude of tabs open; allows quick search by showing full names instead of just a cryptic icon. Easy management by right clicking to close the ones you don't need, and jumps to the one you're looking for.
Small and simple, great extension, thanks.
What is the quick when you cannot use keyboard to switch tabs...
Seems to work okay (you can assign a keyboard shortcut using the link at the bottom of chrome://extensions). There's no keyboard navigation of the list itself, though, and it takes more than half a second for the menu to appear.
Exactly what I was looking for, super light interface and couldn't be easier to use. Chrome itself should have a feature like this. Thanks!
I like the clean interface and search function. But one thing that's missing for me is that it doesn't show tabs from other Chrome windows. So if you have multiple Chrome windows open, you'll have to go to each of those windows to find the tab you want.
This is awesome! Please, please, please implement keyboard navigation! I would be a killer extension if I could hit a key combination to invoke tab list, type in part of tab name, select from dropdown list via arrows and then press enter to jump to that tab. Kind of like it works in SublimeText editor. What a productivity boost!!!
Works a treat, and good that it doesn't need access to all your browsing data. One minor improvement would be to show the site URL (or domain name at least) when you hover over the list entry. Another feature request: provide a keyboard shortcut to drop-down the list, and after filtering, allow the down and up arrows to navigate to an item in the list.
Can't find the keyboard shortcut
