Used this for years and absolutely love the extension for more aggressive tracker blocking across websites. Recently (as of a few months ago) began crashing whenever I select the extension to access the dropdown on a website. Until it's fixed, it loses 50% of its functionality. Please fix this!! I don't want to switch to another blocker but I may have to :,(
One of the best privacy tools out there. Combine with the tunnel bear VPN and DuckDuckGo and you have pretty much got your privacy and computer fully protected. All you need is a good antivirus and firewall.

No more ads and trackers, so nice how I am now way safer, I went to a site and in 10 minutes tunnel bear blocked 70 ads and 200 trackers, it was shocking
It's amazing.. when it starts working again. It great at blocking everything from tracking you but recently it has stopped working, I suggest waiting until it get's fixed otherwise one of the best
For some reason stopped working properly a few days ago. Now every time when I try to click on the TunnelBear blocker in the extension bar the for sites like Google Meet, the app just crashes.

The bear was such a good boy, but has stopped blocking youtube ads for some reason. However, it does so in the worst way possible, by not blocking the ad from appearing, but preventing me from seeing the skip ad button, so I find myself having to turn it on and off again.

Very good free ad blocker bear! But the bear made me couldn't join a Google Meet meeting so I had to turn off the extension on that site. TunnelBear Team should fix that. Also, they need to update the website with new screenshots, and the Overview section after they removed fingerprinters block. TunnelBear Team also please give users options to add custom filter-lists, too! They should change from the term "whitelist" to "allowlist" for racial equality. Overall, the bear is my great friend! Give the bear some honey! :D Note (04/04/2022): Now it seems that the team behind the extension has abandoned the extension because its last update is December 17, 2018. :<

Chrome (Beta) recently updated to: Version 100.0.4896.30 (Official Build) beta (64-bit) Now Tunnelbear Browser is crashing anytime I click on the icon in the tool bar. "Tunnelbear has crashing. Click this balloon to reload the extension." Is anyone else experiencing this issue? And if so, can we expect an update. It seems like this plugin hasn't had an update in a long while. I really do love it, though, so hopefully if a new Chrome upgrade (version 100+?) broke something it will be resolved. Thanks to anyone who can confirm this is an issue and/or anyone on the Tunnelbear team who can chime in. -J

Who knows if it works, how can you if you're not an IT guy like me, but, it is very easy to use, doesn't intrude and I like to see the bear chomping, that means its working. So you must take its claims at face value, so I'm sure it is doing what it says it does.

Truly love TunnelBear. Love their VPN, LOVE this extension. All my ads are gone. VERY user-friendly. I don't care if all the sites are still tracking me because I don't see their creepily specific ads anymore, but based on the stats the extension gives it seems like they aren't tracking me (as much). You can customize how it works if you want to get more specific like that. I just turn it on and let it do its thing. I am so pleased with everything Tunnelbear that I've used.

After getting a compatible browser, this is the very first thing I go to install on any computer. TunnelBear does an EXCELLENT job of keeping the trackers out; it can find upwards of 20 a page even on some of the more "trusted" sites that are known to collect data. A must-have for those scrambling about in the less hospitable parts of the web, too. Overall, I think Tunnelbear's succeeded in putting data back in the hands of the users.

It is really an awesome extension, in simple words you must have it in your chrome extension pack.
its very good but sometimes it will block work related content from showing up, not sure why. Besides that it does a very good job at blocking out the stuff i don't need and loading websites faster i think.

Seems to do what it says it will which is a plus in my book. Couldn't be easier to use, install, turn on, sit back and let it do its thing. I haven't had any problems with it crashing or causing me problems in any way so for me that's 5 stars.

It works so well I had to figure out (on my own) that it was even blocking some social links on websites that I was working on, heh. "Why isn't the FB icon showing?!" ... *disable blocker* ... "oh, ok - good job, Beary." I also have to occasionally disable it so I can interact with some emails (even to unsubscribe)... I let the companies know they have a potentially nefarious tracking system going on, but no one ever responds.

It really blocks ads (especially on youtube) but on animelab, it does'nt block some other ads. Sometimes it blocks ads on Facebook and sometimes its blocks. But its still good, I love bears and I love (free) ad-blockers so this is perfect.
