Latest update broke cookie downloading. Python will label exported files as "invalid Netscape format cookies file"
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I installed the extension and "the blue button" cannot be found and there is no 'Get cookies.txt' in the context menu. The extension is enabled.
Impressed with the simplistic ease of use. I recently started using it and it's very convenient. Would love to see a way to import cookies in the future.
Super easy to use, and highly functional, this Chrome Extension has been extremely useful to me as a developer
Freaking spyware, just saw it by pure chance and reported to Google. It's weird it wasn't removed, a couple of bad reviews in the last couple of days. Don't install.
Works well and easy to use. Can you add an option to import cookies in a future update? Would be nice to have, thanks
Thanks for converting this initially useful extension to pure spyware.
Developer added request to an api with the domain's u visited without notifying the end user and without an option to disable this. He even noted that he should add an option to disable this but still didn't and a month+ has passed, I think this is now just a security risk to have installed.
spyware, use this instead: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/open-cookiestxt/gdocmgbfkjnnpapoeobnolbbkoibbcif
Extension is spyware as of 3 weeks ago (version 1.5). It phones home on every request and sends every single url you visit back to the developer. Either use a different extension or apply the below fix to stop your data from being sent. To block the malicious domain you can add the below to your OS "hosts" file (Google how to edit it): 0.0.0.0 ck.getcookiestxt.com 0.0.0.0 getcookiestxt.com --- External References: https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl/issues/31465 https://old.reddit.com/r/youtubedl/comments/10ar7o7/if_youve_been_using_the_get_cookiestxt_chrome/
hello admin i sucessfully added get cookies in chrome extension but get cookies not installing in my computer. please sove my issue how to install get cookies after chrome extension
Excellent plugin that helped me download the proper cookies. Big thanks to the developer(s)
spyware. makes POST request to https://ck.getcookiestxt.com/getcookie try this one guys https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/open-cookiestxt/gdocmgbfkjnnpapoeobnolbbkoibbcif
Doesn't even try to work now. If it's spying they are being blocked on some level at this point?
Bien trabajo. Please add csv exports
Report this extension and get it removed. It's stealing user information. On every page you go to, it's submitting info back to it's servers. Report and uninstall immediately.
This is spyware.
Are there any planes to export the list to google sheets or excel? Would love this
It started tracking every page view with a post request to: ck getcookiestxt com/getcookie this is insane!
Been using for a few weeks and it works great on the sites I need it for. Easy to download files
Tracks every visited page
Can you add the ability to export CSV? Also, is there a way to get rid of headers in the export? Thanks!
Simple and useful
Did what I needed it to and simple to use Would to see a way to export cookies from a group of websites at once instead of one by one
I advice people to uninstall this extension, in the recent update it started sending your private data to another website, there's absolutely no reason for this extension to do it. I will rate it a 1 star because in the "Privacy Practice" tab it claims that it won't collect your private data which is a lie, the recent version is doing the opposite, it's collecting your data and sending it to another website. Stay away.
Don't use this anymore. It's sending all your data home now. Someone must have bought it.
Works! Can you add cookie size by chance? Thanks
works good 10/10
As others have mentioned, this extension started sending every website that is being visited to the developer of this extension. There is no reason to do this, and one has to assume they do not have your best interest at heart. I advise to uninstall.
I wish there was an option to import cookies is this coming any time soon? would like to use this feature
Thanks for making this extension! It works exactly as intended with youtube. Keep up the great work! Can you add ability to export as .csv?
WARNING! As of yesterday (version 1.5), this extension has started sending details of all the sites you visit back to the developer to the site "ck.getcookiestxt.com". In particular, for every page you visit, it sends: * The page address, * A unique ID for your browser, * Your browser's user-agent string (which shows what OS you're using and the browser version number), * Your language setting, * The platform you're on, * The current date/time and your current timezone. It did not do this before yesterday.
Recent update changed export behavior. In a subdomain, it only exports cookies for that subdomain, previously it would export all urls that contained the same root as the subdomain. e.g. live.yt.com used to also export id.yt.com and yt.com cookies. Now it only exports live.yt.com cookies. Can't find a setting to change it back. Might export incomplete cookies for sites that uses the root or another sub to issue sessions.
It works great. Just one minor issue: when the URL contains the port, the plugin doesn't find the cookie as it searches only for the domain
Used for gallery-dl, worked like a charm, definitely gonna keep this
Extremely useful to export cookies to ytb-dlp.
My first choice extension.
Good extension.
Please add "incognito": "split" to the manifest so the cookies will be different when used in incognito mode!
Works!
Missing a Unix New Line at the end... Add it and it works.
Good
Doesn't handle multi-level TLDs correctly. If I go to amazon.co.uk, it saves *every* cookie ending in .co.uk. Also would be nice to have an option to copy to clipboard without saving to file first.
No longer able to see cookies.
When used in incognito, it still exports cookies from the normal browsing session. I guess you can work around that, but I just spent 2 hours debugging youtube-dl, only to realize this extension exported cookies from the wrong account.
Did exactly what I needed. I managed to use the cookies with youtube-dl.
So simple, yet it works perfectly, thanks :D
thank dude!!!
it would be nice to have an import option because its useless to me if i cant import the exported cookies on a different browser
Why does it require access to ALL sites? That doesnt seem right. I only want this to work when I click it. Seems like a safety concern.
It is simply superb! I have started using it and it is very convenient for me. Great Job! I have noticed Cookie Expiry Time in Export file is in different format, please fix if it is possible. Thank You
it automatically uses my cookies to post on instagram
I like how it displays the column headings on the screen. It would be nice if they were also in the output file (as a comment line).
Hi, is there a way to import not only current page cookies but the all the data from the chrome? What would be the solution in this case, shell I download the cookies one by one and upload them all at once?
This extension works exactly as intended. Thanks for the hard work!
Requires too much permission. I had it restricted to only-on-click then tried whitelisting sites. It requires full access, read and write, to every single website you might visit all the time. This is insane.
Really useful. Does exactly what it should and is quick and convenient. However, at the time of review, there is no export all feature, and cookies have to be obtained page by page. If this feature is possible to add, it would be amazing. Even still, nifty little extension.
Bad !!! I want to get cookies of site youtube.com in incognito mode. I have logged in with another account. However, this extension still shows the cookies of my main account on normal mode. I check the extension Edit this cookies, it shows correct cookies.
Called cookies.txt but exports in sql, pretty much useless for what I needed.
please return cookie size
Please, add "save as" & export all cookies.
Great little extension. Thanks!
This extension works exactly as intended to export the cookies.txt for a single site
Only exports current tab, not all cookies, so it's useless for me.
