The extension used to show the codes that I added. Now it gives me a black window with no codes in it! Edit after leaving the blank window for awhile it worked after i clicked the extension to close the window and show it again.

This is the one that works and your code can be exported as the text format and then you can use that to generate the 2FA again later on if required. This export in txt file is good for backup. You have to think that this code will not be able to valid forever and but your 2FA should be kept with you no matter what happen to this extension.

Good extension, does exactly what it's supposed to. It's very nice having 2FA codes in the browser itself and not having to grab my phone. Maybe it defeats the purpose of 2FA but meh. I backup this extension to Google Drive, it also supports OneDrive and Dropbox. I also have multiple authenticator apps (plenty of Android/iOS apps and there is WinAuth for Windows).

Probably the best extension in the whole Chrome store. MFA may be great and it is certainly necessary, but after you have 60 or 70 MFA-enabled accounts you will be transcribing codes from your phone every 2 minutes all day long. This extension eliminates an enormous amount of tedious phone checking. It's the biggest quality of life improvement for me from any extension. More efficient than LastPass or Dashlane TOTP. If you have Edge set to sync, this extension and its private keys also sync to your other Windows computers. A+. Worth money. I'd happily pay serious cash for this extension, and yet it is free! Thank you, Mr. Developer.

I had loads of issues setting this up, but it works now! 1. Make sure you select 'other Authenticator' when generating the QR code. Default is Microsoft Authenticator. 2. Use the QR code, not the manual input. For some reason the manual input was creating a different code for me. 3. Make sure you finish the process. Check that the authenticator is listed as a 2FA option on your account. You may not have completed the final steps, e.g. inputting the code to confirm the 2FA. 4. Reset the clock sync. 4. If it still doesn't work, try deleting the extension and starting again. This worked for me!

Please add a note in description that only a max of 5 accounts can be imported when importing from google authenticator. Had to waste some time figuring that out.

I play FFXIV. I used the authenticator thinking it would be easy, but instead it has locked me out of my account. There's no way to view the serial number you use to register it which is necessary for removing the token; even when setup says it's successful ...it isn't. I don't know where the disconnect is but I'm very upset that I'm locked out of my account for the weekend. Will never use this again unless I have no other choice.

Well from the pc you cant scan a qr with the camera, and on the phone you are not allowed to take a decent screenshot of the qr for security reasons: this it pretty daft ... how am I supposed to import the tokens from phone to pc ?

Brilliant extension. The browswer syncing works well, although better explaination as to how it works behind the scnes would be even better.

For those who say this app is garbage probably have 0 computer skills. I say this as an IT Consultant. But back it up with I have deployed this app for many of my clients who are amazing business owners but are not computer savy and they have no problem using this app. Along with if you sync your chrome it automatically syncs its settings. The fact that you can also scan QR code right from the app instead of all the other apps that are janky on computers and require to take a picture and upload it. This thing is built into the browser. I have tons of 2FA on it for many things. I absolutely love this thing. I back it up using the backup function every month or so (just in case). Just migrated to another main workstation and boom everything is there. Sign into google chrome and boom it's there. Enter my password and off to the races. A Big Thank you to the dev for making this.

If you are using the Google Authenticator, just delete this APP and find another one with a proper online access. With GA Authenticator everything works fine until the moment when your device is lost or broken, then you are not able to access any of your accounts either you made a proper "account transfer" from an old to a new device before - obviously this solution is not very helpful in a case of broken or lost device :D

This has got to be the WORST authenticator app in the market! took one hour to set up because the instructions WERE NOT clear at all. Had to watch about 5-6 YouTube videos to figure it out. Once i got it setup, it kept on giving me invalid codes despite using the "Sync with clock" option. For anyone else, DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT use this extention, its gonna frustrate you and waste your valuable time.

Worst tool. Doesn't work. Can't add accounts to it. I added one account, it stopped working/syncing, and I've been locked out for almost a month now. Neither website has a solution to fix it. Just circular "enter your code" messages. No account recovery possible.

The extension is a great backup to use in combination with your phone and makes things more convenient. However, I am getting an error when trying to add any new qr codes. "Capture failed, please reload the page and try again." I have tried turning on allow access to file urls but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated

Super clunky, sometimes works. Sometimes doesn't. QR codes for 2FA are such a bust.

I LOVE IT but, i feel like they should add a feature where if you delete a code, you can find it in a "past codes" or something, other than that it's great.

It's good but I had a question If I have my account sync on and log-in in some other device will it still be there and give me codes?

It's a good extension, but my codes have recently started to be 100% invalid.

This is great on Discord because Discord supports Manual Entry and i can put the code in and login into my Discord account!

Love what the app does. Though definitely not recommended for super secure logins. As this extension is kinda completely against the principals of the core purpose of 2FA. :-p

Works, and has all the features you would expect. Also supports locking, which is super important, since you are reducing MFA to a single device basically. Very very nice, thank you for developing this and making it available for the public!

I checked the dicussion section to resolve an issue, such as I forgot the password and someone among the developers delivered the solution under that issue is to reset the authenticator from the extension options. I did the same, in result I've lost all of my codes. I don't know why there isn't a way to reset the passwords if someone have forgotten somehow. I need a solution for this. Anyone!

completely ridiculous method of importing QR codes via image. no explanation just an animated gif drawing a square around an example qr code. dragging and drop does not work and there are no other instructions.

This is the most useful extension I use hands down. It has made accessing websites that requires 2FA very convenient. I really can't do without it at this point.

5 Stars review though it was really tough to import my account, but I guess its no the extensions fault. Today with so many websites making 2FA Mandatory this is a nifty extension to save you the trouble of going to your phone every time you want to login. Though its tough(even tougher if you have a PC without a Webcam) importing the codes through the QR scanner. I had to wait for an entire month to get this working. (was too lazy to remove my laptop from underneath the monitor where it is entangled with a lot of cables and disturb its perfect place) Then I got a new phone so I took a photo of the QR code(as screenshots are not allowed for GA) with the new phone but the extension was not able to scan the photos even though they seemed pretty clear. Then there is no direct connection with the webcam I realized that!. Unless I am missing something when I clicked on scan QR code it only allowed me to select a QR code from the Tab I was using the extension on and that didn't have the QR code. I dragged and dropped the image into Chrome but scanning it failed. So then I had to install couple of webcam apps that could open the webcam in the browser. A few opened it in a popup where this extension was not available. Finally I found one that opened it in the browser. And after a little gymnastics I got it to scan. Holding the phone with one hand and selecting the QR code area with the other hand. I was through. Now I don't have to leave my Computer Desk or look at my phone. But I have a suggestion. the 2FA is specifically so that someone who has unauthorised access to your computer cannot login into to your sensitive websites/accounts. This extension now enables a hacker gain access to your accounts. I was wondering if you could keep a options(so it can be disabled or enabled) for a password of maybe windows pin or a special password for this extension only. So when I click on it it asks me to enter a PIN or a password and then I get access. I am willing to do that extra step in my PC/laptop for that added security. I am sure a lot of people won't mind. But for those who mind they can choose not to enable this option. Maybe better would be to enable Fingerprint Authentication if the Laptop has one. Or even Facial Recognition apart from a password of Pin.

I downloaded this to log into my Amazon.ca account from Google Chrome, I can log in just fine on Safari, but Amazon will not send me the OTPs to the Authenticator. What's the big deal? Does this not work? Am I doing something wrong?

Works fantastic on Windows & Linux and love the ability to back up codes to my Google Drive. Recommend 100%. Great backup in case my main authentication list on my phone is unavailable.

Not works for me. Used it for Facebook 2FA all of the codes are still invalid or doesn't match. I've tried it on other sites too but it doesn't work too.

Please make PopUp mode easily accessible with 1 click - its a much needed feature in some cases

It meets my needs; my biggest complaint is that when I switch computers, logged into to Chrome browser as Google user, it doesn't seem to work on both computers. Meaning that that extension is missing from computer 2 but won't let me re-install? Shrug... Not working from home, I guess. I'm hoping it self-resolves but maybe is a bug.

This keeps removing the PINNED extension. Very annoying. I don't understand why my company is using this.

How to scan the QR code? It's gone when I tried to draw a square then it says QR code is unrecognized. Uninstalling for now.

I have had an awful experience with this app. Developers feel free to reach out and help and I will add a positive review. First, I if you remove the app from chrome all your codes are gone forever, to way to retrieve them. This happened which I can admit this was a user error! But what happened next makes my boil. Having experienced the above I decided never to remove the app. Then I added a google translation extension, as I have various google accounts I was prompted to turn on sync, I agreed and suddenly all but one? of my accounts disappeared!! I still haven't deleted the extension in case they are still retrievable. Please help....

Sadly it doesn't work well at all. Installed it to have a backup since I recently dropped my phone and it's on the way out, wanted to make sure my 2FAs still work. I copied over all of the secrets and initially all was fine. 2 days later not a single one of the generated codes match anymore. Syncing with google does nothing. Every single generated code is wrong. The only way to get valid codes is to remove everything, and then add the secrets at the time I need them, because they work for a very limited time only.

I was tried to Backup my keys (also File, or Google Drive), but everytime I am importing Backup file to the new laptop - all keys are different(from original laptop), and they are completely useless, since they are wrong (different).

The worst. Haven't gotten it to work either by QR scan or manual entry. One big problem is terminology.The refer to different fields/values with different terms. Still not working. Ans what does issuer mean anyway? Very frustraing. If I can work this out I'm going to move on from Code 42 (which I really like otherwise)

This is a POS app! The instructions are complete BS. I followed them exactly and then nothing. After a few minutes of getting the same result I decided that it wasn't worth the hassle. As soon as I'm finished with this review I'm deleting it. If you want frustration in your life, download this POS of an app and attempt to install it. I will try another authenticator app hopefully with better results. No app is worth the level of frustration that this POS delivers! If you want a real authenticator app, I suggest finding another one besides this POS!!!!

I have to use this to access a group app we use. This is consistently the hardest app to use. I need to generate a code for the site and it won't give me me - I also specifically purchased a google chrome friendly laptop as this doesn't work on apple - only to have to have the same issues.

Works well. Simple and easy.

Great extension, thanks, very handy the codes can be encrypted and bound to domains, and secured with a password. Only annoying thing is hitting enter on password prompt closes the popup instead of submitting the form and showing the codes.
