I like it. But recently seems it has stoppped to work. Picture is not refresshing. It shows still the same picture and it is annoying very.

It really bothers me that the the scroll to view previous earth views is backwards. When you scroll up the view moves down and when you scroll down the view moves up. It is maddening ? Still a good extension.

chrome already has this and it wont work on edge use the default bing that comes with it just click on the pen icon and find a wallpaper i think it dosent update daily

It's now showing the same image every time. I dislike that the "support page" is just a generic google info page. I would have gone to support first instead of writing a review.

The basic functionality is great. But in my case (mac OS 13) the bookmarks are not shown when using the extension, which unfortunately makes it unusable for me.

Love this extension!! I am constantly amazed by the beauty of our planet, both natural and man-made structures. I have had many comments from people who are looking at a website with me that the love the pictures in new tabs/windows. My only suggestion is to please update the font color that names the location so that it can be clearly read on every image. Even outlining the font letters in black would help tremendously. Thanks for a great product!

Super cool. It'd be nice if it had a built in refresh button for 30 to 60 seconds to put a new image up, and a clock with user and local time and weather or something like.

excellent. changes pictures often and most are very similar to microscopic views of human body. I love google earth.

1 star now because it seems broken recently (share dialogue), and the support page is useless.

I liked this extension it was ok the only bad thing about it was that i wasn't used to it because you didn't add like a little google logo and the search bar and I'm used to seeing that sorry but I don't really like it. I might add it again if you added that, I mean i like the photos you used.

Really good I get a new picture every new tab and can download it or visit it via the link.

It will be great if the the bookmark websites that are visible during a normal tab are also visible when this theme is added. Cause it is not convenient to open a new tab then after that open a normal tab and then you are able to see the bookmarked websites

Awesome!!!

We love it, however, it is a big distraction at work. Because you will dream about why you're not on a vacation right now. Just saying. Beautiful pics...not a good one for while at work. On the flip-side, it is a good motivator to work, so you can earn that money for that vacation. Either way, guaranteed to download pics, google map it and mark the location as a place to visit.

my school forces this on my chrome book and is very inconvenient plus now you have accses to my whole device and it is very annoying and i cant turn it off plus it slows my chromebook down i do like it but i have my own themes but now i cant use them and i wish we had a option to have it or not

i would like to give this a five but i just cant. so i have a ultrawide monitor so when i go in to another tab it gets stretched. and i would like it so i could set the location myself.

Perfectly simple. Inviting without being distracting. Only addition I would make would be the option for a "Daily" image rather than a random new image every time I load the screen. A very similar extension by Google, the "Google Arts & Culture" New Tab page, also has this functionality.

The NTP is pretty, but it does not display the bookmarks bar when I open a new tab.

It's beautiful and it works great, but I wish you had the option to customize your UI. It's simplicity is great to appreciate the background, but we should have the option to choose if we want to add a little clutter in, like clock or date, top sites, etc.

I try to go with the flow on these smart new things. It is hard for my brain to comprehend all the new techie advances as I am truly a senior person with no teenagers to ask about the innovations at my little desk. This is looking fantastic to me right now. Smart changes and innovations are very positive and allow for hope in our futures. As a collective. :)

I absolutely LOVE this extension! It is so beautiful and calming to just look at! It's sad to think we destroy our beautiful earth for selfish reason's that the people that do that don't even realize! Sad!

I love this extension. Highly recommend it, however be warned -- it's pleasantly distracting! I find myself opening a new tab to do something, seeing something interesting, and begin exploring in google earth -- in many cases completely forgetting what I was doing! Two requests: 1) Please develop an android app that changes the homescreen using these images! 2) Would love to have a choice to download these image with and without the location information in the corner.

Very cool

I liked what this extension does on face value, but what is with the HDD usage? after disabling every extension except for this one i found this was using about 15% of my HDD for games (always seems to be that drive) and it happens frequently for about 10-20 minutes. Time to be removed.

I love this extension! I wish it could also change my Pixelbook wallpaper daily. I know the is a similar option in the Pixelbook wallpapers app but it contains a very limited number of images when compared to this extension.

Loved it, but: No more pictures show since 3.0, just the announcement of more pictures but no pictures or anything - sad!

Best extension ever. It shows beautiful and scenic images of earth. Always enjoyable to watch new images every time you open a tab.

I love this so much. My only wish is that when I download the images, they should be named for the locations.

Very good but since the update the scroll direction is reversed and it's very strange to use. I scroll down on the earth view page, but the page scrolls up (opposite direction to a normal website) to reveal the recent images at the top. It was better when scrolling down made the page scroll in the same direction as a normal website (content moves up) and the recent images were revealed at the bottom.

Do you know how many places there are? Like, in total? It's at least more than lots by a bunch. And for the bewildering variety of landscapes there are, every single one is gorgeous. Zero effort improvement to my day.

-Main issue is that it lags whenever you open up a new tab -I'd greatly appreciate more customization options. Like an option to update the picture only once a day. That would also mitigate the lag issue. -Also I don't like the recent pictures view at the bottom. It makes it feel less sleek and less light weight. I would enjoy having an option to disable this.

What we have all been looking for. Our planet,Chrome by google leveraging a tool used by soo many, google earth and giving it to us in a format we can enjoy not being covered in ads. Thank you.

It's really lovely. Everytime you open a new tab you're greated with new stunning and calming images from around the world. It's a little reminder take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the world. I quite enjoy this extension.

Every time I go onto my computer, it feels like I'm on a helicopter in a different part of the world. It makes me wonder how people manage to get the shots, and makes me appreciate modern technology.

I love this extension. I try to guess every time the location of the image.

My life is divided into two main chapters. Before Earth View from Google Earth Chrome extension, and After Earth View from Google Earth Chrome extension. The glowup has been real.

Similarly to the Google Art & Culture tab extension many of the images are low resolution even though very high resolution versions exist. Additionally, the bookmark bar is removed and cannot be enabled (it's baked into the default new tab). Options to enable the display of only very high res images and the bookmark bar in the new tab interface would make this an excellent extension.

Please include insert a thumbnail, in the default 5+5=10 thumbnail google new tab. Also allow 8 column x 16 row grid for planners. Daily Activity, where the 16 hour rows, each square may nest 3-2-3{00,10,20;45,15;30,40,50} icons each.

Since this morning 20/09/2019 this extension doesn't work anymore.

Seems to be broken recently, the scroll up on mouse wheel to see previous views isn't working and the click through to Google Earth has disappeared (I'm on Chrome 77.0.3865.75).
