It works great but I think it's using a lot of battery? Or it could be the screen uses a lot of battery.

Ignore the bad reviews, honestly I just use this to keep my computer on, idk about the other options but if you're looking for a way to keep your chromebook on, I recommend this extension.
Seems to work fine on my Chromebook, this is exactly what I needed!
I have used this extension for many years and I love it, but recently when I have it set for the computer to stay awake and have the monitor sleep, the monitor doesn't want to wake up again when i move my mouse or touch any key. It has done this several times now. This extension has to be the problem.
The day variant is not coming even after clicking on the icon . The screen goes off after 1 minutes as usual. it does not work.
It works, life saving! It's pretty insane that we have to install someone's extension just to prevent the screen from sleeping... Google no longer provides any way of preventing the automatic logout which then requires the password. Total madness. Let me control my stuff Google, if I want to configure something I know why and you don't. The more I use ChromeBook/ChromeBox computers and the least I want to ever buy one again.

This is easy and simple to use, and works perfectly
Grateful despite no options, no suns or moons. Vids keep running w/ closed lid, but, still 10x better than incessant sleep/wake when using multiple chromebooks. Grateful and triple-thanks

Chromebook c710...crashed after closed. Tested. USB (Logitech, Labtec) keyboards stop working.
I use this extension probably more than any other. Sometimes you just can't have your device going to sleep.

Works exactly as advertised. This is essential for keeping SSH connections alive, or other long-lived connections. I still wish Chrome OS had more flexible power management options built-in, including allowing Chromebooks to only lock on lid closed (staying awake). No extension can prevent sleep on lid closed, unless an external monitor is connected.

Does what it says it does - Chrome OS would be far less usable without it.
Does not work on Pixel Slate. Screen saver turns on in 6 minutes despite having set the extension to the keep awake setting unless I push a button or brush the track pad. It's a distraction if you want to watch any video that is longer than 6 minutes.

I 100% rate this as a must have for us filmeze and youtube watching video's buffs and other activities. etc...Before I had this ext added, it drove me crazy, well, I have now been using this ext for more than 3yrs and now I couldn't do without it now, it's like going out naked, you wouldn't do it would you,,,
Does exactly what I needed: Keeping the screen on while cooking. Great that it doesn't require any permissions. Found the icon a little confusing at first, thought the rollover text showed what mode the extension would go to if clicked, instead it tells you what mode it's currently in.
I used it on ou ACER CB5-3111,s and I Love it because using Chrome on a locked do it overrode wn Win7 work box, this allows me to override My former employer's group policy and kills our mandatory 5 minute timeout policy (I installed it on my ACER CB5-311, then enabled Chrome to also synch my extensions and apps, then logged in at work on my Win7 box, firedup chrome and now I'm in control!
OMG this actually worked!!!! This just saved me a ton of headaches from a really inconsiderate policy.

It doesn't work on my Acer Chromebook. I wish it would, the screen keeps shutting off while I try to listen to a music video.

I tried it on my ChromeBook and ChromeBox, neither work.
The only thing better would be ... rather than 3 basic options, you could specify a length of inactive time, then the Chromebook goes to sleep.Another idea, make it detect a power source. When it does, it defaults to system awake, when power source is unplugged it goes to the normal power save mode.

I use it at school and home like it just one thing I don't ant my batter to die, and I I don't think it will kill my battier.
Would be great to allow configuring time until sleep (e.g. only sleep after 30 minutes inactivity)
Works perfectly! Now the only time the netbook goes to sleep is when I tell it to sleep.

Doesn't work for me. Chrome still gets cut off by the screen saver, whereas Firefox doesn't have this issue.

I've been using this app for about 5 months and love it. Hated how chrome os kept disconnecting from wifi, I guess to save battery power. So annoying. This solved my frustration. I keep it on system will stay awake.

Love this app because it stay awake when i'm gone for awhile and when i'm trying to watch something.
I used it to upload movie files to my Google drive. With 4 TB to upload, this extension kept my Chromebook awake for a month straight. Very easy to change the settings too. Fantastic extension

It worked for me before; I uninstalled it when I no longer needed it. Now, though, I reinstalled it, and it doesn't seem to be working... But I still give it 4 stars because I know it's probably the fault of my computer

Works perfectly for me. Currently using it with a new Dell Chromebook and an old Samsung Chromebox.
This is a MUST for Chromebooks and as well systems where Chrome is always active.

closing the lid in any of the 3 modes yields a suspended chromebook. I believe this used to work but no longer works for me.

I often need to leave things running and want to view them without lifting my hand to brush the trackpad. this extension is simple, functional. does what it says on the tin. recommended for anyone who gets frustrated by a 'power saver' option when your computer is plugged in anyway.
