This was amazing until recently. It doesn't always copy like it used to. It's a hit or miss now.

Damen, I've been looking for this feature for windows. On Linux it's auto enabled on the system any text selected from any app
This AutoCopy extension still works well as of May 5, 2022. If it does not work on your PC, you may need to turn off some other extensions that interfere with its function. That's what happened to me.
Can't give this the rating it deserves until it is fixed. No auto copy extensions I have tried are working with Chrome now. Please update.
This makes me VERY happy! What WOWs me extra is the Add informational comment feature. Now I can timestamp comments on blogs, etc automatically. This feature even knocks out some potentially unwanted postscripts. Wow! Thank you so much! If only I could find an Auto Delete, too!
Have used this for years on Chrome, Edge, and Vivaldi and it works great.

Good extension but sometimes it doesn't work for some reason until you refresh the page. But there is another problem: If the copied line has a special character like "&" in it, then it ignores everything after it.
Not working at all, tried copying multiple phrases. Even looked at the settings to make sure it was on and working

Not working. Not copying on selection
Developer should consider disabling this app when the user is highlighting in search bar. It defeats itself. Opera has a better built in auto copy.
When I try to use middle mouse button for paste option, I get the scroll widget instead. Is there someone else I need to do to get this working?
Not working at all. Reloaded page, resarted browser, and laptop. Nothing.

I am liking this extension (so far). I am making great use of the comments that this is allowing. That is a major time saver for my current project. My only "complaint" is that the paste on middle click is not working even though I have that selected; I also can't really complain about that because doing a trusty ctrl + v combo is fine, too. (Worth noting: I did restart chrome as I do that by default whenever adding something new to any browser.)

This saves me like 1 second per click. So it could save me like 18 hours of work because I have to copy and paste to 16 cells for 4156 subjects. TY

I tried several 'copy as plain text' and 'copy link text' extensions in various combinations, but they didn't work well with specific a site I need to use on a regular basis. This is a huge timesaver when copying text from chrome for use in other applications and greatly simplifies my work flow.
I have selected "Press Ctrl key while selecting to Enable Auto Copy " but it copy every time i select text no matter if i pres ctrl or not

Not working with latest Version of Chrome... When try to copy single word its not being copied to clipboard. Fix this issue as fast as possible. if so I will rate it Five Star.
The bomb Makes copy-pasting, especially with no formatting, the easiest simplest affair ever. My settings which I recommend: - Alert on copy - Enable in text boxes - Enable in content editable elements - Press Ctrl key while selecting to Auto Disable Copy - Copy without formatting This way selecting the text copies it without formatting by default and only if I want to I can manually copy the selection so I can paste with the formatting.
The "Paste on middle click" option doesn't work at all. Pretty bad.

Very good Extension. But need some fixing. My suggestion is: -> Sometimes the checkbox "Alert on copy" if I uncheck it, It alerts me again. Sometimes I don't want to get alerts. -> It would be great if this could work with the "Text Field" chrome extension, as well. Because I write notes there and it can't copy them automatically from their box. With that said, fix that and I will give 5 stars rating. :-) this is a very good application.

It works exactly as described *in the documentation* (hint hint), but as someone else mentioned, I think it's increasing page load times, so I have to uninstall it and find something else.
REALLY GOOD EXTENSION
Want to cite and annotate my copied text along with the URL in which it came. The liteness of this Chrome extension was at first alluring but...
Just does not work. 3-finger paste works.
needs a turn on/off feature to keep installed. or a click to copy (I use it for the title url automation). otherwise, pretty useful

Worked for a while. Then one day it stopped working and I'm tired of it's finicky nature. It's ridiculous how it purports to do something so simple yet doesn't do it often. Btw, I didn't have any of the spiffy features on, just the basic function.

It used to be great but no longer seems to do anything.
Wish there can be some sort of indicator that anything has been copied. This is a quite psychologically helpful feature of a similar Firefox extension that I use. :-)

It was a very appreciated extension but in version "31.0.1626.5 dev-m Aura SyzyASan" it does not work anymore.
Yes it does work on Chrome version 28.0.1500.72 m. You have to reload the opened webpages after installing the extension in order for it to work.
Only one, in my experience, where you can actually turn off auto copy in text boxes. Highly recommend.

Great, and takes the advise to add a filter (blacklist) quickly. Great work!
This is a great extension and I like it. One suggestion is to add a filter so that it can be disabled according to the url. For example, I just found out that my google spreadsheet is not working correctly (I can not copy paste) when this extension is enabled. It took me a while to figure out this is the root cause.
I cannot copy URL's as promised.
This extension works fine. But it should add "disabled website" function. Because it annoys me when editing sheet in google doc.
Everything works except I can't copy anything in the web address bar. Other then that I really like it.
Often doesn't work, and, even when set not to copy text in text boxes, will sometimes copy URLs from address bar, even if they're not selected.
It's helpful and does it what it says, but the auto part can sometimes cause problems cluttering up the clipboard. I would be much happier if the auto could be turned off and the copy could be done from the context menu or keyboard shortcut.
