Just doesn't work!

Has not worked for over 5 weeks and from what i can read I am not the only person that this has happened to. Well, it is 11th April 2022 and it is still not working. As usual Nectar are not interested and do not reply to emails.

It worked for the first 4 days after I downloaded it, but hasn't worked since then.

I am like the others who are finding that the Nectar Search Toolbar no longer works. I used to do all my searching on this but it hasn't worked since Xmas, the last points I got were on 1st January 2022. Have uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing seems to work and absolutely no points received in January despite the 'Green tick' appearing next to the search item to say it will collect points - will stop using nectar as it's useless !!

No longer works and hasn't for many many months. Dev's do not respond, Nectar no interested. Epic fail.

It's rubbish. The search facility does not work - it never appears. I have tried loading and unloading it. I have contacted on 2 occasions - the first they sent E-mail saying they have resolved the issue offline. Still did not. The link they sent to show what they had done was to their FAQ page. I contacted them and ask what they had done as it still does not work. The chap could not tell me. I therefore for asomeone to contact me. I am still waiting!

I've been using this for years and like most of the most recent reviews it suddenly stopped working on all browsers. A variety of errors such as invalid search but now when I install the extension in Chrome I get an error. Fix it asap please.

As previous comments stopped working in December 2021. Reinstalled several times, no change. Contacted Nectar helpline when they got back to me saying: Thanks for your recent contact to the Nectar Helpline highlighting the issue with the Nectar Notifier.   I just wanted to say many thanks for taking the time to contact us to let us know if the issue and I’m pleased to advise that this is now fully resolved. It isn't!!

Like many others on this forum, I used to use the Nectar search tool without many problems, and have gained the 200 available points most months, until recently at least! I now get the same message as others for 'Invalid search' ( trying various previously unused searches doesn't help) - and points search now stuck for weeks on end. This happened last year as well. Having uninstalled and re-installed several times on my lap-top, I can now no longer even get the search bar up to attempt to use it, despite Chrome telling me the extension is downloaded. The search bar on my PC is still stuck on last months search. Having not received points for several quite large purchases before Christmas, and with this ongoing problem, it's time to give up on Nectar points online!

It is constantly failing on Google Chrome and the Help Desk is unable to help always saying they have to pass it to a "Specialist Ream" and it could be up to 14 days before they contact me. So far they have failed to contact me so not sure how I escalate this further.

Would give it zero stars if possible. It stopped working before Christmas. Tried reinstalling as suggested and now keep getting this error message" Install error: Service Request error during request with unhandled description." Have tweeted Nectar to see if they can help but it looks like this is a known and common problem which has not been fixed.

Doesn't work

I've used this for years and had no issues till the last week been told to uninstall and reinstall done this and now the search option not working nothing happens when you click on it but does notify me when I'm on a page I can collect points

Its stopped working again . Also went to nectar site to Bose and purchased something months ago , no sign of points and i dont expect there will be .

Used to work fine on Chrome. Since just before Christmas 2021, however, it suddenly stopped accruing points and generates an error when I try to do a search. I followed the guidance and removed/reinstalled it and since then it doesn't even pop up a search dialog any more when the icon is clicked. It's the same on other browsers. Seems to be totally hosed.

It had been working fine for a few years collecting a few points on searches. it stopped updating last week. So I reinstalled it and now it does not respond at all.

I have been using it for some time now. the last week it just stopped working and there is a pop up saying error search ... I tried unistalling and reinstalling today but to no avail. Any feedback would be well needed as contacting nectar has been proven a waste of time.

Chrome versions not working.

Works for a while, then stops working. Tried removing and reinstalling, many times, but keep getting error messages - useless. Have contacted Nectar (again) but could take up to 28 days to fix. And will it be 'fixed'? This seems to keep happening every few months. The old Toolbar was much better, this Notifier is rubbish!!!

My Nectar Toolbar stopped working two days ago. I have tried all sorts to get it working again including removing it from Chrome and downloading it agaion from the web. nothing works....I get the icon on my Chrome toolbar then sometimes when I click it, it says it needs reloading to work. So I reload - and nothing happens. Other times it goes to a page of info about Nectar but no Toolbar link. Other times nothing happens at all, I just click and it just sits there doing nothing. Please, Nectar, sort this out....!!

Never works, I have lost hundreds of points it always says - Points Alert! Collect Nectar points on purchases, Just confirm the alert to pick up points after you checkout. I click on Yes Please! Then it says - Collect points opt in error Invalid collector data received prior to making collect points request.

Nectar needs to sort this out the Nectar Toolbar stopped working. I was told by someone on the help desk it was being updated. if Nectar Notifier is the replacement it is not fit for purpose. It does not allow you to collect points when searching or if it does it does not show the numbers. Nectar needs to get this sorted. Why change something that was working perfectly fine. Come on Nectar get this sorted.

It was working great, searches gave good selection of results & points earned, until..... The latest automatic windows update & it stopped working. The search window no longer opens. I've contacted customer support, who assured me my account is fine & search WILL work. I must have removed & re-added it over 100 times now, in the hope they'll fix the glitch, but it still doesn't work.

When it was working it worked well,but all of a sudden on the 14/10/21 it stopped working. I have spent some time trying to work out what is going on. There is no information from anywhere. Until its working I wouldn't waste my time with it!

Worked for a week,now not getting points for searches,dont seem to be getting any points from offers either.

As with all the other reviews, this has never worked for me. I cannot get my points added. Has been a complete waste of time.

same as everyone else reached 37 points on searches never moved since. but doesn't surprise me as I've also had peoblems with password on site itself constantly tells me too many attempts they reset and after one try and logging in next time too many attempts. support is standard we will unlock and this will fix it after 8 times still not fixed. this extension is about as good as a chocolate fireguard and Nectar themselves have went downhill fast in my oppinion over last few months.

Love Nectar but this extension is awful. It's too big and intrusive. I also don't appear to be able to stop it popping up on certain sites like Microsoft 365 which I use all the time. Not worth it for any money I may get back! Deleting it now!

once again not giving points on searches. seems to be a common problem with this extension. they have had years to sort this extension but do not even try. not worth the hassle that you get from using this extension in trying to search and collect nectar points. time to throw it in the trash can where it belongs

you receive 100 nectar points when you enter your nectar card number after you install nectar notifier.

I agree with all the other comments. Points collection does not work.

Just useless, I have clicked the link many a time and yet to receive any points. Luckily Ebay links your Nectar card to gain points. Don't get me wrong, Nectar is OK, but wouldn't say amazing, as it falls short.

I think it's great - better than nothing and I rack up decent points as part of my research simply by searching through notifier - downside is I prefer google search results; but a couple of extensions can easily sort that out ! :)

Pops up asking if I want to collect points, click 'yes' and it pops up saying 'deactivated'. Waste of time and effort :(

Not only does this not work - apart from notifying you, the search bar - nectar one, is stuck, does not matter how many searches i do it is still saying i have earned 22 points - which is what it was in Feb. I dont know how to refresh the page to make it change. Not a happy bunny, cause t is a pain to load the search engine, and if i dont gain anything, i wont bother anymore and will just google!!

Now we have an Extension the Chrome Notifier, well, it can notify you but it does not get the Nectar to collect the points that you should get when the Pop-Up tells you can collect points on this shopping, it never works, it either comes up with You are timed out or Go to the Nectar Site and go online through their site and you will get your points. Again, it does not work, I have tried everything, even on a different device, Tablet, Phone, Laptop, No notice to collect points, nothing, only one that is guaranteed is Ebay. I must of lost hundreds of points over the years and I am getting really cheesed off with even having the Nectar on the computer it just does not work. I have tried it on Internet Explorer, I have tried it on someone elses computer and it still does not work, WHY NECTAR does your COLLECTING POINTS not happen. All the advice you have given me and still I do not get the points when I should. You must have a problem somewhere as everyone on the Reviews says the same as I do, a total waste of time, so I think I shall just hang up the Nectar App and the Notifier on to a Useless peg.

Totally agree with the other negative reviews. I have lost out on loads of Nectar points over the last year (and that's just the ones I've noticed haven't been added). Not the end of the world I know, but it's been so long since this app was "updated" you would think it would be working correctly by now!

Very intrusive. Pops up and covers whole screen asking if you want points from that URL, then pops up and covers whole screen to say you have agreed, then pops up again to say now tracking. Why not just run in background and add points automatically?

Waste of space. Thought it was my browser (Chrome), but stopped working after just a few searches (all unique). Uninstalled and reinstalled - even worse When is an offer not an offer!

Tried the new v2.0.0 extension on Chrome because I found it tedious to keep going via the Nectar site to see if I could accumulate points on my favourite brands. Turns out this extension doesn't work very well (if at all) - none of the brands I tried to see how it reminded you or notified you actually triggered a notification despite there being Nectar points available according to the website. It did hassle me to use the Yahoo! search engine though, although searching the brands didn't pop up any notification either. Short verdict? Doesn't work, don't waste your time.

I can't log in just say the same thing all the time tell me to sign i sign in the tell me to sign in so i go back and sing in then it me to sign in and so on and so on

This really doesn't work. I still have the old extension installed which does notify me that I can collect points, but then have to use the new one to search through Yahoo to get back to the site I was using to actually get those points. Utterly ridiculous.

A step backwards, i used to collect points without issue using the old extension but this new version makes me sign in before every search. The original version didn't require signing in and didn't take up the whole screen like this one, this tool is a real mess, i have decided to avoid bothering unless a better version is made available.

On some sites the pop-up Nectar window always appears, even if I have signed up to receive points. It used to be a little irritating but now it is is positively annoying as there is no sign of the little cross to close it. On some sites it blocks the content and I can't get rid of it at all. I don't want to have to deactivate the extension but it looks as though I will have to.

Waste of time,i use Argos and Just eat regularly and it was never picking up my Nectar points,obviously after logging in.And when you contact Nectar they tell you to wait 90 days and dont believe you when you say you have shopped.No point installing and uninstalling as it makes no difference.Sort it out Nectar please!!!!

Not great. You do loads of searches of things you were looking for and you get about 10% of points. Not worth bothering with because the yahoo search engine is nowhere as good as google.

worked for a few months now feb 2019, 52 points from 170 searches no more points added as if they dont want you to collect many BROKEN!!!!

A total lie I surf all the time and in the last 3 months have collected two points - What a fraud!!!

Stopped working after a few days!

Nectar told me this would notify if I could earn points, tried it out with an Argos purchase, but it didn't tell me!!! Having read the other reviews I'm now going to delete it!

It works, but a huge pop up takes up a third of the screen every time you click on a new page - very irritating when browsing. Does it really have to be that large?! Considering deleting.

This has not worked for 5 weeks now, contacted Nectar who are still 'looking into it' poor service.

It was ok on IE but I can't get it to show up on Chrome..

Try to use every month to see if problems solved but still no change , I hate having to click on Nectar button instead of just having counter on page (like Explorer) point don't always go on and freezes and won't clear till month ends. My wife's froze in April and she continued searching and after numerous emails still hasn't been awarded her points.

Used to work a few months ago - stopped giving points. Stuck at 7 points and 33 searches all the time...

Only allows 7 points out of 200.

Permissions - allow this to change all your details on any website !!! I took a risk and loaded it. My credit card was refused by my bank when I tried to make a purchase from a well know merchant. BEWARE. Removed the extension. No further problem....I hope.

Does not work at all on Windows 10 in either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

never works for more than a day. When I try to log in, get the message "Service request not sent - invalid installation id".

Keep downloading it, then it disappears

Like other users I have had problems collecting points over the last couple of months with the nectar tool bar app. I have just been online today after a few days of being online with lots of nectar advisors it has got sorted (fingers crossed). What you need to do is open the nectar search window, complete a search, then click & open the shop you have searched for. Plus it will not recognise if you search the same hand full of shops over & over, it has to be a wide variety of the 400+ online shops you need to search for.

What a load of rubbish, It used to work much better now its a big rigmarole to use. Wont be bothering with it any more. Bring back the old chrome toolbar extension.

Well, I would prefer it the way it was with the Nectar toolbar as it took you into the sites which support nectar and also paid points whilst doing so. And IT WAS ONE ACTION. Now, I have to undertake THREE actions to get nectar points. Press the Nectar icon, find whom I want, investigate, then go back into the main Nectar app to get my points for what I am ordering. Sometimes, I just can't be bothered and shortcut to Topcashback etc. Why don't you give an incentive to order via you by attaching a Nectar icon against the websites which support Nectar. Simple.

Forcing people to use Yahoo (which is a crap search engine anyway, even when it was at it's peak) isn't ideal. You need to provide 'options' over the usable engine.
