Not only does this seem to not work but it appears to have been caught up in multiple "no-reply" email back and forths which have resulted in my gmail account being temporarily suspended from sending emails. I have sent an email to the site requesting cancellation and details so no need to reply asking me to send an email.

This extension is brilliant! It gives provides the ability to block spam by pretty much any field you like: AND IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY. It does lack the ability to select all or multiple blocks and thus change the settings for them en-mass, rather than having to change each block individually which is tedious and time-consuming. I'm confident that the developers will agree and add this simple functionality boost soon.

I added this extension to block spam emails and I had high hopes but after adding the extension and removing it a few times to try and refresh it, I still only see part of the corner box of operation and makes it very difficult to use. I have since removed this extension and will be looking at another extension.

A really useful tool!

This just doesn't work. Tried to add bounce back rule for a gmail email address and then tested it. The test sent email just goes into a void and doesn't bounce. Paid for plus and no response from support when I contact them through website. Avoid.

I installed the Blocksender.io Extension. I DID set it up with maximum security settings. And my Gmail already had maximum security settings. But GET THIS: WITHIN ONLY 48 HOURS of installing Blocksender.io as an extension on Chrome, TWO (2) of my passwords were shown as BREACHED. I suspect that the CAUSE of the two breaches was (is) Blocksender.io. Has anyone else experienced this?

I would wager that a lot of these folks leaving bad reviews don't understand how to configure it properly so it does what it's supposed to do. So far as people saying it should be free--why? It costs them money to run. That said, I come from a family and extended family that is at times abusive and very, very difficult and sometimes I need to be out of reach to them. This software blocks emails from them perfectly--normally I use the "delete" function so they don't even go to trash--I simply never see them at all. Its good for managing the crazy people in your life when you have to deal with them but sometimes need to simply be *away*.

Block-sender has been very helpful in blocking unwanted emails especially when you have it as an extension for your chrome. This is the best app so far in blocking off and sending out unwanted emails because: 1. It automates my work, no need to filter my emails. 2. once you set a certain email to be blocked, it will not bother you anymore This means that it creates a great vibe for me when I open up my email and not waste my time on uninvited email senders anymore. I get to focus more on the important emails that matter. Thank you Block Sender! Great job!

Nope, don't even bother. Gmail does what this extension claims to do.

This is exactly what I have been searching for! Blocksender.io is a game changer. I was looking for a way to repel unwanted emails that went a little further than gmail's ability to just send them to trash. This extension does everything I need seamlessly. The fake bounce back emails are a great touch, and it's nice to have unwanted email truly and permanently deleted without any effort on my part. It has, on a few occasions, removed a block on an email, I assume this is some sort of system glitch, but it's very easy to set it back up again. I highly recommend this extension, it has helped so much!

I highly recommend Block Sender. It works as advertised. It was always easy to use, but the recent website redesign has made it even more so. Block Sender provided me with ease of mind during a time I was being abused by email. When the abuser sent from a new email address, a few simple clicks in this extension added the block and any following messages were completely deleted. I appreciated Block Sender's ability to do that rather than Gmail's rules moving the messages to the deleted folder.

Works as advertised. Was a helpful addition as I had reached Gmails maximum capacity for blocking senders / adding custom filters.

Block Sender was working until 2 days ago but now it stopped working. Customer Service says now they are having server problems !

This is a scam and a piece of garbage. It says you have to pay in order to bounce back which is fine, so I sign up and pay. I then try to block someone emailing me and it fails every time saying "Auto-replies can't be sent to your own address." For real??? I emailed them with screenshots showing the person I'm trying to block is not myself, yet I've tried on 5 different people and it never works. If they don't refund me I'll be filing a chargeback with Visa.

Very good app, worked as expected. I avoided unwanted e-mails and generated very effective fake bounce back e-mails to get rid of unwanted senders. The company is honest, they refunded me for some services that I didn't need anymore.

Ok so I am rating the actual software from the SITE and not extension which I haven't tried. I signed up for an account and I was disappointed to see that you had to pay for Plus and Pro if you want to actually bounce an email. BUT! Unlike what other people are saying, it DOES WORK and it enables you to completely avoid receiving emails from unwanted senders. You will never see their email which is what matters most to me. People keep saying that it doesn't do anything different than google, but that's not true. When you "block" someone in google, you will see their email either in your spam or if you use the filters you will see it in your trash. With Google, there is no way to PERMANENTLY delete/auto delete emails "forever". But with Block Sender you can! And what a blessing this is! I am being harassed/stalked by someone and it's a shame that Google doesn't truly let you block vicious predators. I am so thankful for this app. It 100 percent works and btw I am using the free version. Also if you pay, there is a way to pay MONTHLY which you need to BE VERY CAREFUL to select or else you will get billed annually which really sucks! *** To Block Sender, I have to say, please don't try to be sneaky and bill people annually for a service like that. That's not cool. Be up front and have the site set to bill monthly by default and people will likely give much better reviews. All in all, I really love this service. I've tested it. It works. And if you're being harassed by a particular person like I was, this is a fantastic tool to have. Thank you thank you thank you!

You have to create an account just to use it. I already have dozens of account of everything. And this extension adds to my headache of dealing with multiple accounts for everything these days. Immediately, I uninstalled.

Be wary of installing this extension. To use it you have to create a Block Sender account on their website that you can't change or delete without the developers permission! I've uninstalled the extension as it does nothing you couldn't already do with Gmail filters anyway but now I can't get my account deleted. After 4 days of talking with the developer he won't delete my account at all. Basically this crook now has access to my Gmail account and he's stopped responding to requests to delete the account. The user has no options to change their email address or delete the Block Sender account at all and the developer won't delete it either, and it's been deliberately designed that way to hoodwink people into giving up access to their private email accounts. You will only find this out after you've created the Block Sender account. Shady and crooked business practice. Hate it.

In principle its good, and it works well, EXCEPT if you want to block a subdomain (i.e. when a commercial sender dodges spam filters by using "[email protected]" once you've blocked "hello@annoying newsletter.com." It has the capacity to block those by putting an "*" before the domain but -- there is no way to do this easily from the gmail extension. You have to either go sign into the dashboard, or retype the domain name within the gmail extension. Also, their contact form is broken and they don't provide an email address, I had to google them and try a variety of "info@" "help@" etc. BTW the one that works is [email protected].

I have been trying for the last week or so to upgrade my account. I have emailed them several times without a reply. Can't get hold of them thru their support email address.

Total garbage. First of all, why is it even necessary to have to install an extension to block a sender in gmail? I am amazed that this isn't already a basic function of gmail. And this piece of junk doesn't even work. I installed it, and when I tried to use it, it asks me for gmail password--even though I'm already logged in to my gmail account--and then tells me it is wrong. It is NOT wrong.

Does not work! I have tried to get it to do the actual delete (not trash) of email and it does nothing. Gmail rules work, Block Sender does not!

I added this. Went to block an email. It asked me to sign in to block sender. I tried. It said my password was incorrect. Requested it be retrieved. Was told that my email address wasn't signed up to block sender. Catch 22 anyone! What a load of rubbish!!

A waste of time, how can this extension get so many good reviews? It does nothing. Do programmers really understand what we want and what we need? I don't think so.

STAY AWAY. A SHAMEFUL, SHAM EXTENSION. The free version is useless and doesn't allow you to do anything. They propose to upgrade - I did upgrade to Plus version, thinking I would pay $4-something/year, only to find out that the Plus version also doesn't allow to bounce spam emails, which is what I had been looking for. So I upgraded to Pro version, thinking I would pay $7-something/year, and then I found out it's $7-SOMETHING PER MONTH. Not only that, but they don't provide an option to cancel instantly and get your money back - I cancelled my account and got a message that it would remain active for a year. This is nothing short of outrageous, an absolute sham.

Exactly what the other user said "the billing wording is misleading and I've been charged $89 for what I thought would be around $7." This happened to me also and is not a fair way for sales. This application should undergo google review for taking away customers' money. I have disputed this fact to my bank and awaiting for my refund promptly.

Brilliant. Have been plagued by emails from a stalker, sometimes 30 or more a day, every day for 4 years. Downloaded this and it has stopped completely. Can't thank you enough. excellent

Can't send a bounce email without paying

Pointless - the free version doesn't do anything you can't do in gmail anyway - ie no bounce backs unless you pay - should make that clear and then save me time bothering to install it.

Complete waste of money. They also never once returned my emails after getting initial payments where I clearly conveyed some concerns and asked for direct help/support.

I was getting daily porn spam, all with a photo of the text as opposed to actual text so the filters didn't recognize any of the words to block through normal google. I'm a grandmother so I can assure you it wasn't something I wanted to get and I was afraid one of the grand-kids would accidentally open one. I blocked the domain with block sender and end of problem. Bless you.

The app itself worked great for me! Very effective, but I feel the billing wording is misleading and I've been charged $89 for what I thought would be around $7. Unimpressed, I've emailed for a refund and which I expect to receive ASAP!

The bounce feature doesn't work. Support have taken 3 days but still no reply. Meanwhile they took my money. Not impressed. I have unlinked my Gmail account and uninstalled. Now awaiting a refund.

You guys have done a great job with this app. I had someone stalk me for 4 months via email and as soon as I found your app and used it on them, it stopped, completely - that was 1 year ago. Thanks so much!!

Very cludgy solution. Free version can't actually do anything, have to pay $5 for the very simple functionality of rejecting/bouncing a mail message. You can have full dedicated mail service for this price.

I guess zero stars are not allowed. This product is a complete ripoff. They charged me twice and refuse to response to me. I would not do business with a compnay that ignores its customers and steals from them. On top of that it is a crappy product.

Not only does it not do what they claim, and you get no response from blocksender, but my system began "acting up"! I had purchased it too! It continued to ask me to purchase even after "activating the licence!" BEWARE!!!

You have to OPEN the email before blocking it, so this app is useless for SPAM. Also has nag screen to upgrade. Uninstalled.

Didn't do anything but send me to the page where it keeps wanting me to upgrade to the pro version, which after reading the reviews, I will NOT be doing. It doesn't work and it keeps telling me I have 5 blocks left, so I keep hitting BLOCK SENDER but it's not working. Ugh. Useless.

Bought the full version and it doesn't work the majority of the time. The bounceback emails usually come back undeliverable also. Additionally, you can only block items in the "Inbox" and not items already in the "Spam" folder or other folders(i.e. "Trash"). Plus you have to OPEN the email to block it, possibly exposing you to various threats, malware, spyware, trojans, etc. It really doesn't block, but rather creates a Filter...requiring you to still have to "empty" your trash or whatever folder you have it go to. I want a blocker that blocks and doesn't allow mail to enter my inbox, trash, spam, etc. folders. This does not do that. It doesn't work on firefox either.

should be free. It is email and it should be part of email. Also when a person does a search to block sender and you have it up as free on the web and then you find out you have to pay for it, bad business. To boot has bad ratings and needs more development, again bad business and needs to be free.

Paid for the full version and it does not work at all. I have "blocked" numerous domains and emails from that same domain get through all the time. Canned responses trigger additional "bounce" emails coming into the Inbox. A complete waste of money.

Waste - do not install. The only way it does anything that is not already available in Gmail is if you spend a large amount of money. This IS a rip-off.

i purchased the upgrade so the sender would receive a bounced email. It never worked. I tried getting in contact with support, but the page doesn't exist.. Can someone please help?

after installing i found out i have to pay $30 to do much of anything, so its pay first, then hope it works, too many reviews reporting problems AFTER paying. No thanks.

Do NOT ever popup an ad to force me to try an upgrade and hijack my gmail account in the process again! That was so infuriating I removed this immediately.

$59 to use Canned Responses which Gmail already has? Doesn't mention that the app does nothing when you install it except asks you to buy it in order to use it.

No idea why this has such great reviews. All it does is use Canned Responses the same way you could use it without the app. The only "benefit" would be the Canned Response that looks like a rejection/bounce back. Pretty sure I could copy and paste something from the web. There is no added benefit to this app that Canned Responses won't give you.

Does not work. Do not buy premium version. The extension still does not work after trying everything on their troubleshooting page.

I uses this app on a daily basis and it works awesome! I am all for Paying for apps that work and this one does what it says it will.

Not much use as it is as it only allows you to block five senders then stops working unless you upgrade, either by signing up to worldPay and buying something or paying 30$ a year.

I absolutely hate app's that trick u into installing by stating all the options and then after installing it you have to pay for most of the options. The only option that is active is something that come's with gmail without installing an app.

Doesn't work

Basically just puts in a regular-old Gmail filter to delete messages that are received; you can do the same thing yourself for free and without any devious extension monitoring your web browsing! Bounce messages are just replies, so you can do that yourself to if you want to write a nasty message. Zero value to this extension.

SO far so good. One thing I hate about it is that I have to constantly enter my email address in to check my license to reactive the feature.

Works for me on gmail. Have been using it for several years with no problems. It is a three step process 1. Block Sender 2. Block Domain 3. Block mail with the same subject. I can also unblock a sender should I accidentally block them. Now if only they would get the 3 steps down to 1.

Not free, not really an extension, doesn't actually do anything unless paid for. Should be removed from the store or marked as TRIAL!

Bit unclear how to use or when the trial period ended... (It was bit shocking when it ended without warning :-( But did that job good for me.

I got MORE spam after I purchased it. I sent several emails to support and never got a response. The directions weren't clear and I basically threw away 30.00. I did have the sense to cancel the "subscription" but too late. Wasted the 30.00

I have only used it for a short time, but I'm very satisfied with it so far.

My daughter has been receiving incredibly explicit spam mail recently and this "Block Sender" app has really helped put a stop to those disgusting emails.
