Great Productivity App

Has been working perfectly for months. Stopped Working. does not work anymore :(

It's obviously going to split into windows and not tabs, y'all. A tab only holds one website, but a window can hold multiple websites. I've been using it for some time now, and I like it. For those of you who don't like it, you could just go use another extension instead of coming on here and complaining about it. That would be the nicer thing to do ya know. Either way, I like it, and if you don't, that's on you.

I actually like the extension and would use it but it kills my tab groups.

On split it moved all my groups to the second window, and then on Undo — it broke all my groups and returned raw 100 opened tabs to the first window. It was terrible (

Terrible approach, Ok, it's stated that it splits windows, not tabs. That was expected. - But once you split into windows there is no going back anymore. - Splitted window will lose all grouped tabs I've lost months of tabs grouping and arrangements. What this extension can do, you can easily do manually without negative sideffects. If extension only affects current and only next tab(s) based on the layout, not all next tabs, then this would make sense.

Now I can watch my favorite YouTube videos while I check my email. I love this extension.

Disappointed to not be able to choose the exact size of a widow for dev testing purpose while it seems that the tool has all the options to do it.

This is the best tab resizer I have tried... I really like that it has an undo command to put all tabs back where they started.

Not multiple tabs in one window, just opens a new window...we already know Microsoft+left

This extension is so useful especially on mac because the automatic multi-window on Mac is quite nonexistent. It's just so easy to split windows and it's a total game changer for how I use Chrome.

5/8/21 I prefer Tile Tabs WE for its simplicity in splitting screens and more readily identifiable icon, but this extension has other useful features. It's more for someone, likely graphic artists, webpage creators, and presentation makers, who have an unusual need to size tabs to exacting sizes. 1/26/22 Tried again. Nice, but there were little gap spaces, and my extension icons, that I was all ready to use, vanished as long as in use. Anyways, glad I listed my former favorite, ..that's my kickback for doing these reviews.

It's good and gets the job done kinda useless tho!

I'm running three 32" monitors...two horizontal and one vertical. I'm also using Mouse Without Borders ...sharing my mouse and monitors on two computers. This app runs ok for a few minutes...and then crashes my system. I uninstalled, and re-installed three times. Perhaps it doesn't work with my setup. Wish it would work...I really like what it's supposed to do. Unfortunately it doesn't.

Loving the multiple screens at once!

What an excellent and useful extension. This should be built into chrome OS. Having 4 tabs open is now possible on a small Chromebook.

Just pops up a new windows. No Spits, not intuitive on how to make it split. Bad product.

Ctrl+n and ALT+[ or ] on chrome will almost do this with no gap and menu to close. with as many key strokes. It would be nice if the setting menu that pops up when you click on the extension would hide once the tabs layout are selected or better yet it would not open again every time once you selected your layout. Also nice if you could select which 2 tabs (that are open) you need to display side by side.

You can do better, faster and without addons with built in windows features. When it makes the windows it doesn't fill the whole screen instead it leaves a big gap in between which is a lot of screen estate lost. also there is no way to make two screens on top and one on bottom. There is 0 modifications to it. and it always opens empty tabs which for chrome is a lot more memory consumption. There is no way to say which windows will open in each tab which is also a letdown.

I really liked it, but it's Not quite perfect for what I need... Can you add something that does custom tile sizes? I need a 3:7 set-up split by a horizontal line with the "3" on top, but then the seven needs to be split into two windows by a vertical line! PLEASE! :D

I love that I can have a video playing in one tab and getting work done in the other tab at the same time! Also works great when shopping, like comparing TV's from different stores...Open tabs side by side and compare different models and prices side by side! Thank you for this wonderful app!

This does literally nothing that you cant already do with Windows. I want to tile tabs IN ONE CHROME WINDOW.

superb for my fx charts

This extension worked great for years, now when you go to undo the split screen the Chrome browser will crash every time. Not good, I will find an alternative if this is not fixed.

I loved it until recently. I can split the screen, but I cannot return to a single display without restarting my computer. I deleted it because it was consuming too much time.

Excellent extension. I recently bought a 21:9 wide screen monitor and having the ability to have four open tabs side by side across the screen is incredibly useful - a definite time saver and aid to productivity. Thank you for taking the time to develop this.

Great extension!

I had to play around with it after downloading to understand how it works. However, I found that it works great. I would say 90% of the time I forget I have apps for certain functions and they never get used. This app, because of its wonderful features, I use daily with many screens shown at once. I can do research from multiple sources, compare my notes, and have my work in Google Doc on screen all at once. I never give 5 stars or top score in my review of anything because there is always room for improvement. However, this app delivers what it claims to offer, functions without flaw, and assists in productivity (and fun sometimes) at different age, education, and job levels. Thank you Mr. Shin for developing and offering such a useful tool.

This is a great extension! After using tab scissors for years and it becoming a bit sketchy this year (2019) I took some time and tested "Tab Resize - Split screen layouts" and it is much better! I have already created a 1 x 3 for making 3 vertical tabs of equal size which is what I have always wanted for my 21:9 ratio (very wide) monitor, (Res: 2560 x 1080). Thank you to the developer, I watched the video which was very helpful.

Recently splitting the tabs leaves some open space between the windows. Could you please look into that & fix it?

I use this app everyday. I have an Ultrawide monitor and th 7:3 gives me work space on the left with reference on the right. I also use 3 fixed columns when comparing options/products. The only thing I would like is a 25%:50%:25% vertical split but you can't have everything, it can just get too cumbersome. Thanks to the developer for such a useful extension.

Seems like it could be useful. Just annoying that not all space is used efficiently. There are large gaps between windows.

It immediately unpinned all my pinned tabs and just makes 2 chromes next to each other. Wel thanks but no thanks. I was hoping for two address bars in the same tab, but guess that isn't possible without having too much rights which would be a security issue.

Good work, but the private tab/window is not included?

This extension worked for about 6 months. For some reason after Friday, September 6th, the extension no longer works. It resizes the main window to the size of one of the windows that are supposed to be there and doesn't relocate any tabs. It just sits there. Did Google Chrome get an update that screwed this up???

Brilliant. Makes working on a laptop so much quicker. Three suggestions: 1) have a user check option to move the current tab, as well as tabs to the right, across on ctrl + shift + 2 2) have a user check option to rebundle all tabs, as well as full size them, on ctrl + shift + 1 3) introduce shortcuts to shuffle tabs within existing bundles. this would be so handy prior to tab splitting

There is a gap between windows. It does not split a tab. The same can be done in Windows by dragging chrome to the sides of the screen. 100% Useless.

I seldom write reviews but I want to give a thumbs up to the developer and to say thanks for the work you have done to create such a useful tool.

Just what I needed! Have a regular task that has 5 tabs open each with a progress bar. This extension let me easily make a 3x2 custom layout so that all 5 tabs and so all 5 process bars are visible at once!

A breeze to use with the new hot keys like Alt+Ctrl+2 for 2 windows. Brilliant - thanks for building it.

Tab Resize is a must have extension, well supported for many years now, with excellent quick layout of multiple browser tabs in useful positions to make many jobs easier. I use it almost daily for my work as a technical writer. It gives me a nice "before and after" or other comparisons view of things.

I want to say thank you for creating this extension. I have found this extension very helpful. I would have to say that I love all the options and the fact that you can create your own customized layout. When I was in school, shopping different websites, or when I am doing research of any kind I have found it useful to use Tab Resize for comparing different opinions and options available on different websites. I use this extension everyday multiple times a day. Thanks again and this extension is very useful and helpful.

VERY handy add-on that lets me view multiple tabs side-by-side without constant switching from my desktop. This helps save TONS of time otherwise gone to waste on endless copy-paste text from one tab to the next.

This is a super useful extension. It works very well and is very stable. I'd recommend folks watch the overview demo. I've been using this extension for a while & just discovered that several enhancements I had wanted are already there, along with a number of useful features I didn't know about. Best Chrome extension I didn't know I needed. Greatly simplifies life when you realize you need to have two tabs visible at once.

Wish there were no gaps between windows but I love the multiple monitor use (it also shows the resolution of the monitors I am using). I also like the ease of customization. Great for work!

very happy with this app. The only recommendation would be a way to have it automatically split screens to the users specs every time Chrome is launched so that we dont have to do it manually. I guess Im lazy and dont want to make the extra mouse click. Great app!

This is a great app - especially for free! Once I played with it a little and got my head around it I use it a lot now. The keyboard shortcuts make it very efficient.

I dont know where the highlight is. it just open a new chrome window with customize size, not in one chrome window. I can finish this function with ctrl+n, win+left then enter.

Incredibly helpful when grading student work. I can easily add the online gradebook and keep it open next to the online student submissions. I must use Tab Resizer 20 times a day

It works, It is probably very useful to some people my issue is that it is not "tabs" it is windows being tiled on your screen and MS Windows has this functionality as does linux. Can't speak for macs as I do not own any. The name should be something like windows tiler or chrome tiler and not Tab Resizer. The name implies that you can take tabs in the same browser window and change their size and put multiple in one window.

THIS IS STUPID! LUDICROUS! I can do that myself! IDIOT! You claim it splits tabs, but it doesn't. It moves tabs to new windows and adjusts the layout of the windows to match the layout. There is no split pane or browser window. TERRIBLY disappointed.
