many people don't like it because "it doesn't work" or "only reads a tiny bit" but they haven't really tried any other options for this extension, like reloading the page so it loads the extension, or pressing ctrl+a to read a whole page, or even just using a keybind. very simple fixes for very simple problems that people just don't care enough to try to fix. unlike the others ive tried, i don't have to create an account to go above 100, so this is quite helpful!

Not Working as of April 19, 2021. Installed on Chrome and Edge browsers (latest versions) and it does absolutely nothing when highlighting text and enabling Spritz.

Doesn't work - text doesn't load. There are other options that do work - use them.

There are definitely some limitations to this app. It is not very user friendly at all, particularly if you want to read an entire article. The double-click method of selecting text is about pointless, because it will only highlight a single paragraph, and it's a pain to highlight an entire page and then right-click to to read with spritz. I use ZippyWeb on my phone, which is a far superior product, and was hoping this would be something similar for chrome. ZippyWeb will automatically analyze the entire page, and then serves up the article without the need for double-clicking or highlighting anything. I wish this plugin was similar in its design.

Very useful app, as a dyslexic I am now able to read slightly above the 'standard' reading speed. My reading now feels like it wont be such a limiter. The only thing that I struggle with is how it skips through text formatting. For example writers often use punctuation differently, whether they're technically right or wrong. Often things like : - ' ' are used to visually enhance the format of a paragraph. I find these go through the app a bit too quickly, it's difficult to determine what the writer is trying to do with it. This app is pretty genius in my eyes.

would be better if I could change the reading gesture to use right click for example.

It needs some work but it's the only one that does Spritz as it should be done. Things that could use improvement: - Needs to be smarter about what to include by default. Should exclude things like gmail by default - making the user opt-in. - Would be nice if it worked on pages generated by Evernote Clearly or similar tools. If it can work with these type of tools then a context menu option to read whole page would be great. - Needs to have a privacy policy that explains ~where~ the text goes and what gets sent over to Spritz or what gets done locally. And how to opt-out of any profiling or such. - Ability to turn off double-click mode since that effects copying-and-pasting from a ton of pages. I could see this being much more popular and less of a toy extension with improvement like the above or along those lines. Good first effort and good luck to the author! Cheers, -Ali
