The extention is no longer calling back to Johnnie Walker, and as such, the trees are not longer being planted. "Through the duration of the project more than 75.000 was planted, and while the browsing is no longer offset, the plugin is still available" Source: https://workingnotworking.com/projects/159715-earth-mode-johnnie-walker#:~:text=Through%20the%20duration%20of%20the%20project%20more%20than%2075.000%20was%20planted%2C%20and%20while%20the%20browsing%20is%20no%20longer%20offset%2C%20the%20plugin%20is%20still%20available

At one point, the extension broke and it started reversing, and started loosing the amount of trees... But after an uninstall and reinstall, it worked just fine again.

Doesn't work. earthday.johnniewalker.com which the API reports too doesn't respond.

Not extremely accurate. It calculates energy consumption by the amount of time you use your browser. Since I have a solid state drive, I'm using less energy than a conventional hard disk. Still, if over-reporting my footprint causes them to plant more trees, I'm cool with that. Green thumbs up.

This is a really excellent extension and got me thinking about my footprint. I have contacted the company to see if they would consider extending it.

Blatant unscientific nonsense for promoting the Johnnie Walker label. But meh, if they'll plant trees in return, I'll do it.

I usually don't give a crap about helping the environment if it means I have to lift more than a finger to do it, but that is literally all you have to do! Just download it, and the folks at Johnnie Walker do the rest. Works for me!

Quite frightening to see how my web use at the office is bulking up my carbon footprint! :( But really neat extension!
