Avira makes them "pre-installing" extensions where they always re-install themselves when a new Chrome user profile is created. And then they DO NOT remove them when their antivirus is removed from the user system. Poor software management from their side.

Literally dogwater avira automatically installs this along with 2 more extensions on all my chrome profiles without asking me avira antivirus isnt even good, its pretty trash

ALLWAYS INSTALL when start NEW PROFILE! But I don't give any permission. It uses scripts and run all the time when I open a new profile! In all browsers. Deleting doesn't help, reinstalling the browser doesn't help! Clearing the registry does not help! Nothing helps! I installed Avira antivirus once. A day later, 3 errors appeared in the browser that someone was trying to install the Avira SafeShopping, Avira Browser Safety, Avira Password Manager extensions. Immediately deleted everything. But as soon as I open a new profile in the browser - immediately this error! Nothing helps! Avira tech support ignores this problem! They just imposed this garbage on me! I don't want to see it EVER

Total scam where it suggested half-price for a 2TB product if you installed the extension. The half-price was actually for a 500mb version.

I have had this extension for some years but since March 2021 I have deduced that it reduces the performance of Google search in Chrome. A search page will return results but then "hang" with "page unresponsive" and I have reached the point of disabling it.

Unfortunately not working after Google Version 89.0.4389.90 (Official Build) (64-bit) update :(, before the update it was blocking annoying Ads.. but not anymore.

Cannot work anymore in my pc since yesterday. What going on???

Merely after uninstalling this Chrome-extension, I realised that this extension was 'guilty' of slowing down Youtube, when it took several seconds to switch between Youtube-window- & Y-t-full-screen-mode. Otherwise, it would probably be an useful extension, but, because of ditto, i need to look for an alternative.

It is a great extension and not only works for shopping websites. On every website it blocks ads and trackers. And seeing recommendations where to buy things cheaper (e.g. when I'm on Amazon) is a nice plus.

This started off a great extension but as if recently it slows down every page from opening. Especially pages that are in no way shopping sites.

Interesting, I have Avira Pro AV, just installed the 2018 version. A browser extension similar to this got installed for Firefox, but in Chrome I had to search for this (the closest thing to what was installed automatically in FF). So, Avira, is this extension basically just AdBlock with search engine result security ratings? If so I'd rather use AdBlock itself and Web of Trust.

Been using Avira Antivirus for nearly 12 months, this extension has suddenly appeared in my browser (Presumably forced install with an update?). Even when disabled, then browser restarted I still get the not even correct item pop ups for cheaper versions. Will be removing and buying a different antivirus going forward.

Does not work as it did in the past. Had a much better drop-down of price comparison with "many" options/choices of purchases/retailers. Also, why is it in Euro not dollar, and showing European stores? Not cool? Disappointed in the new Avira Safe Shopping, etc.

I am satisfy with Avira. I can say Avira extension as well as antivirus software number one for me! I have subscribed Avira for two years, and still doing a great job. Thank you very much.

This is must have chrome extension. What it does is "giving you shileld against ads on website which no body likes and ovbiously it gives you coupon and price comparison and notify you against notorious website that could steal your data. Thanks Avira team for such a nice product.
