From December 27th, 2014 to January 24th, 2023, 62% user give 5-star rating, 19% user give 4-star rating, 15% user give 3-star rating, 4% user give 1-star rating. for NowStreaming - Twitch chrome extension.
An almost perfect extension. However, it sometimes doesn't automatically update for several days, making me miss streams. A manual refresh button would be very nice.
would be better if it shows streamers profile pic instead of game logo
Previously had trouble with the extension updating (I use Chrome), but shortly after making a review saying that, it seems to have fixed itself now ?. Love the app, works great for me now.
Excellent extension, but having issues with it not updating the list automatically(Using Edge). Importing the follow list manually to update is a to put it mildly inelegant workaround
This extension is very useful, just not as of late. It doesn't seem to be working right now, as it never updates. It will get stuck and say a streamer has been live for 60 hours and counting, and only fixes itself when I remove and re-add them. Then, it says that no one is streaming for over a week, but when I check twitch, I see I've missed many streams (I don't bother keeping regular notifications on for them ever since I got this)
Excellent! Notifications are working great, unlike native from twitch.
It seems to have trouble updating the list of who's live lately. Like I'll notice that the number hasn't changed in a while, and it might be extra obvious like "I know there's no way only 2 streamers I follow are live in the middle of the day." If I go to the options tab and re-enter my twitch name to import my follow list again, then the live list actually updates.
People are understandably upset about the extensions tab permissions, thus resulting in its removal in v3.3. However, the lack of an immediate follow/unfollow button is really annoying for me. Is there a way to include the function for those that allow tab permissions, and just remove it when permissions are denied? Or is there perhaps a fork of the project?
Great extension. But today it stopped working on the basis that it wants to read browsing history. I will never allow that.
Would love for "import from Twitch" to update follow list and not reset all preferences for disabled/enabled notifications for specific streamers. Regardless, this extension has everything I need, just this one thing is needed for future use of the extension.
It works well enough. I wish it notified of live streams better. As it is I have to check the list manually now and then.
Really like being able to sort by uptime
Currently the only Twitch "live" extension that actually works since the Twitch API updates on 28/02/22. I was previous using the extension Twitch Live which has since stopped working. Thanks for continuing to maintain and update your extension.
The authentication with twitch link is super sketchy. A window without any descriptions appears, with your account logged out. A user can't possibly know if it is real twitch login page and not a fake one to collect your password.
The new login window seems a lil bit sketchy. Changed myself to "Notifications for Twitch" which is almost exactly the same app as this one used to be but without the "Authenticate" button.
Noice
awesome! it helps me sooooo much
umm i dont understand how this works... i typed in fresh and it still said im not following anybody and i dont know how to watch streams, pls help me
Very awesome in terms of functionality, though it can use a neater display.
does what it says it will, but i wish it displayed the game as text rather than an icon because the vast majority of games have no icon! edit: additionally, when you change the sorting method, it reverts back to the default when you open the extension again. the default sorting method is by viewer numbers, which i personally find to be way less useful than sorting alphabetically by name or game, since i usually am either looking for specific channels or specific games.
has notifications, can sort by stream duration. good stuff, only wish notifications had sound.
Nice, its exactly what I'm looking for
Can we please have an option to order the list by current views and not alphabetically?
This is awesome. Thanks
Really helpful
