Didn't seem to work with my offline PDF
Not working，the background is still white but with a lower light. The demo is misleading, a total lie.
Not sure how to get this to work. It will make the borders either side of a portrait PDF darker, but the PDF pages remain black text on white. Tried with both online and offline PDFs and it just doesn't do what it claims to do. Very disapointing.

Rarely works
It's okay, but instead of 3 presets it would be really good if it let choose freely a text and background color to customise contrast better. Also wouldbe really nice if it included an option to change font family, at least from serif to sans-serif, it would make much easier to read ebooks.

All it does is invert the colors... that functionality is built into almost every major OS now. Misleading, DO NOT download.

It doesnt work. And they didn't show how to use it. Just waste of time.
Kinda works but it fails when you add a page as a parameter in the url e.g. file:///C:/Users/file.pdf#page=42

Bro it is good extension but when i switch between tabs on chrome my previous tabs pdfs changes its color to white why don't my all pdf remain black while i switches between tabs
Exactly what I was looking for. Helps my eyes when I'm reading. A bit clunky but I'm quite happy with it.

Doesn’t work for me. Tried turning on access to URL, tried restarting Chrome. Nothing helps.
If it is not working for you right click the icon, go to manage extensions and select allow access to file urls.
New update is a gamechanger, proper UI with darkness control. Love it
I wish I'd known about this wonderful extension much earlier. Would have saved me some migraines.

Fast, simple and no bug
The background color around the page remains bright grey. Even with this extension, half your screen will still be emitting a ton of light.
