One of my favorite extensions of all time! I was an early Goodreads user and debated moving my data elsewhere when it was bought buy Amazon, not because I don't use Amazon for other things and want to avoid, but because I am a librarian and get extremely annoyed about how BookTok, BookTube, etc. seem to promote a lifestyle in which you buy every book ever and display them in aesthetically pleasing ways when reading should be accessible to all people regardless of ability to pay. Goodreads had previously allowed reading to be more personal by attaching a profile to yourself and your reading habits. I felt that Amazon would feed into this by adding their own algorithms and buttons to "buy on Amazon" quickly. Technically, I still am debating moving my book data elsewhere, but this extension at least allows me to subvert the white-washed, pretty book influencer style that is being pushed. Libraries forever!

perfect. searches multiple libraries if you have cards at various institutions, great for homeschool planning.

My new favorite browser extension. It's the most useful one I've ever had and I use it ALL the time. Best of all it's saved me hundreds by not making impulse purchases. It pops up and I can immediately see if the book is available at my local library and it almost always is.

So useful especially for those with library cards from a lot of different libraries! No need to look up titles in each library for available copies one by one anymore. I do hope there was a way to just type in the library name when adding them instead of choosing from dropdown lists, but overall, it's been super helpful for me.

A little clunky UI-wise, but a life saver nonetheless.

Like others here, I just don't write reviews and extensions don't help THAT much...until THIS one came along. I tell everyone that loves to read how wonderful it is. It makes it so easy to stop myself from buying a book when I can check it out from the library instead. LIBBY never seems to get me to the books I really want... This makes it easy to find books I really want to read instead of settling for something.

I wish I could give it 10 stars! This has made finding books for my kids' schoolwork so much easier! Instead of having 10 tabs open, I can just use ONE for all 10 of our local libraries. It isn't perfect, as it will sometimes pull up different books and sometimes it can't find the book even though the library does have it, but all in all, it is a huge time saver

Public librarian here who's willing to say that this tool is vital to my work and my workplace here at large. Plus, every time a patron uses this instead of calling/emailing us, we spend less time answering that, yes, we do have Prince Harry's 'Spare', and more time on making our library better than ever.

Hands down, the Chrome extension I use most frequently. As an avid reader who is on a fixed income and gets most books via the library, it is such a timesaver.

This extension is one of the best and most useful of any kind that I've tried. If I see a book online that I might like, it's so helpful to get an automatic search for a library copy. A real time and money saver.

This extension is a huge timesaver, if you have multiple libraries. I appreciate the ability to configure based on library which catalogues - e-media / physical book. Libraries closer to my location I want the option, if available to get the physical book. I use this application everyday!

SO HELPFUL-- just when you thought you knew what was in your library, this extension verifies what is (or isn't) there. I use it often so that the library doesn't duplicate items it already owns. It's really one of the more helpful extensions you can install.

This extension is super convenient, it shows the library books available, both apps my library has, and scribd! I even asked for the second lesser known library app to be added to my library and it was updated right away.

I love this extension. I have tons of hardback and paperback books I've collected over decades. When I stopped collecting physical books and started reading digital books, that was the first step to not caring if I "owned" a book or not. Over the years I built up a substantial digital book collection as well. But THIS extension, combined with several library memberships (actual local libraries and internet based collections, all free) allows me to browse Amazon, then instead of spending $5-$20 on a book I may or may not like, I can check out endless books, from anywhere, anytime, as many and as often as I can read them. Sometimes there's no e-book and I still find a physical book, have it sent to my local library a mile from home. Best extension ever.

This extension has saved me much money. So often now I find the library already has a copy of book I was thinking of buying.

WHEN IT WORKS it is GREAT. However, it unlinks itself frequently and I don't notice until it FINALLY gives me a notice that I need to "set up" my "new account"!!

My favorite Chrome extension! I'm a member of multiple library systems, and this makes it so easy to check them all. Love putting books on hold while browsing Goodreads, being able to see where to find the audio of a physical book I own, and more. I've recommended this to so many fellow readers!

This is the one extension I use all the time and don't know what I would do without it.

As a digital nomad, I find this extension invaluable. I have set it up with all the library cards I have and it tells me from which libraries I can check it out for my Kindle. A couple of requests: Please let me decide whether or not I want audiobooks, please store the library card numbers for more than one library, and please develop a version I can use on my smartphone. Thank you.

This is an amazing extension, giving exactly the right information (how many copies are available at one of my favourite libraries) at the right moment (when I am actually looking at a book, wondering what to do about it), in the best possible format (only 1 click away from borrowing or reserving it).

The most necessary extension on the internet. I cannot be a book lover and forget to add this extension. Saves me tons of money! I only buy the books that my libraries don't have. Saves me tons of time! I don't have to check each library and Libby/Overdrive for each book, it's all done for me!

One of my most frequently used extensions. I have it registered to three local library catalogs; it's an excellent way to check whether a book you are interested in is available from a library. It lacks the comprehensiveness of WorldCat, which includes university and other institutional libraries, but strongly recommend this for casual readers and researchers.

Excellent extension and saves the day with the integration to Goodreads. The app allows me the option of utilizing the resources of my local library and save the cost of always having to purchase books on my reading list.

2017: This extension is awesome! As much as I would like to buy every book, I like to save money too. This extension tells me how many copies of paper book, ebook, and audio book are available at my library. The link also takes me directly to the book page on the library's site. This is truly an awesome tool!!! Oct 2022: I have several different library cards, which really helps my chance of finding what I'm looking for. I noticed that I can now add Hoopla to it too! I am still so happy with this!

I have been using this extension for several years. It works very well. It has helped me to know when an ebook or audiobook is available for loan so I can save money with loan instead of purchase. Also the feature where you see estimate of how long the wait list is, is very helpful.

This extension is such a time saver for me! I keep a spreadsheet of books I want to read, and in what formats they are available and where (three libraries). I was looking up each book at each library to enter the data, and now it is one stop. I also like the ability to request a hold directly from the Amazon page, which works very well. Definitely recommend!

I've used this extension for years and love it! I am a frequent patron of 3 local libraries and this allows me to easily see which library has any given book that I'm interested in reading when I look it up on Goodreads or Amazon. I use it all the time and it is very convenient. Also, I just needed to contact customer service for the first time in my several years of use and they immediately contacted me to inform that they made a quick update and resolved the issue that I wasn't able to view one library's catalog info on the extension. Impressive customer service.

I use this extension al the time. I've never found that it gave me incorrect information, and I haven't encountered any glitches.

This extension may save you money. For that reason alone I'm giving it five stars. It does confuse books with the same title and doesn't always nail the version of something I'm looking for but I will forgive its quirks because the fact that it can even come close makes it useful.

An excellent system enabling me to scan the holdings of several local libraries, city, county, and educational institution where I have access. The connection with Amazon is especially helpful when I'm trying to find obscure titles since the Amazon search engine is much more adaptable and forgiving than those of the library systems. And, if I can't find the book in the libraries, I can quickly obtain it through Amazon. Kudos to Amazon and to the libraries for making linkage.

I liked the extension, but when I ported the extension over to my new computer I noticed it was running slow. I contacted the team and they were able to resolve my situation. Highly recommended if your library allows for e-book borrowing.

As an avid reader, I love being able to easily tell which of my local libraries has a book and in what formats. As a librarian, I find it super handy to tell which of our neighboring library systems might have a title available when we don't. It's not always completely accurate, but I would guess it's been right about 95% of the time for me.

I absolutely love this extension, it's saving me so much time and effort. No more having to go through several catalogues with not so great and slow search capabilities to find a single book.

Great plugin, I can easily check the availability of books and audiobooks on Goodreads, Amazon, and Google Books when on desktop. I have recommended it to friends. The only thing that would make it more useful would be to include university libraries. It also has a difficult time differentiating movies from others with the same or similar names.

Very useful extension. Why buy books when you can easily find out if they're in your local library? The developer was very responsive when I asked to add a new library to the product so that's an option if your local library isn't already listed.

This app is very useful, and saves me time. I like to look up books on Amazon because the descriptions are usually better, because often they will have the "Look Inside" feature, and because there are reviews from other readers. However, I check to see if my library has the book before I buy it, to see if it's one I want to actually buy (and find shelf space for). Before this app I would switch over to the library's website and search for the book. Now the information just pops up on the screen. It also gives me the option to check other libraries, too. I am very pleased I found the app. Thank you for it!

This is a terrific extension. Hard to believe this is allowed to work as an overlay on Amazon to let you know if your local library has the book you are looking at, and if it is available to check out. What's not to love.

This is an awesome time-saver! Instead of having to navigate between multiple tabs to check book availability, I can now instantly see the book status at the two digital libraries I use. It works seamlessly with the Goodreads web-based platform.

Note: I had trouble getting it to work at first because my Amazon account id was not my gmail address, it was an older email server so I had to stitch my Amazon to mu gmail.

There's a new app in town and it's fabulous. I've been trying to figure out a way to spend less on buying books and upping my library use but somehow just keep spending. With this new app created by Andrew Abrahamowicz who is also fabulous at tech support, I plan on saving tons of money and supporting my local library. Highly recommend!!

Very useful. When looking up titles in Amazon I can immediately determine if that particular title is available in either of 2 library system's catalog + Hoopla. Gave it 4 instead of 5 because nothing is perfect and could possibly be improved. Sometimes what is returned is not accurate to the title being searched. Don't know if that is the extension's error or the library system's online catalog.

Very easy to set up, and it's a great way to save money. Hoopla is an especially great addition. You can even put books on hold if it's connected to your library card, which is handy. Favorite extension by far!
