just trying to grab a vid off insta and i see this thing is phoning home and making api calls to sketchy looking urls
Works well for Instagram. Don't leave it running all the time as it'll destroy your laptops performance. My macbook's fan was going crazy out of nowhere and google chrome helper was eating my CPU. Just toggle it on and off when you need it.

"Select between different resolutions" – nope! I have the videos running at 720p, but the downloads are only 360p, not providing any resolution options ?

Works great! Maybe kinda slow to initiate download, but that's probably my computer. Only wish I could do one-click multiple downloads like Bulk Media Downloader in Chrome.

Worked flawlessly. I was surprised at how quickly the downloads came. I didn't believe the entire video was really there at first, but sure enough, it played beautifully. I did notice that you can only download it the first time you view a page (at least on Facebook) so be sure to download it if it's a video you want. If you visit the video page again, the download link will no longer be there.
This is ok, does not let you rename te downloads, though.

Pretty nice downloader. I use Fmovies to stream movies and download with this app. If you want to download from Fmovies, use the steamtape server to download on that site, it usually works better on Fmovies.

every time I tried to do something It said no video found
only 'downloader' i've found that works. and works in Vilvaldi (Chromium fork) browser on Linux. ps. clicking on 'button', gives you No indication it's working (downloading). stop clicking and check your download manager as it's probably already downloading. and it will have been saved to whatever was the last place you saved something. Not in default ~/Downloads/

I have been looking for one of these for a while now. A lot of them were trash, but I must say, this one does the job. I like to do things fast, and when it comes to speed, it doesn't disappoint. It also allows unlimited downloads, I must've downloaded over 100 videos with it by now. Just one thing though, the list of previous videos you downloaded wont go away, even if you click the x to close, but it will after you refresh the page, which is a minor inconvenience. But overall, I give it a 9.5 out of 10.

Consistent and reliable so far after a few downloads. Drawback is it doesn't always find the video content on the page - roughly 1 out of 5 times it fails.

Sucked that I had to open every video in a different page, but other than that it seems a good program.
Mostly pretty good, although in some instances, the videos appear in much lower quality than the actual videos. This means that some videos technically can't really be downloaded with this unless you're willing to suffer through the low quality. Most of the time, the videos are in good quality, though.
