Tried it a few times and found it to be quite buggy

Works well when the subtitle is not in English. It messes up the subtitle though when it's already in English. Dear developer, Can you make the option to toggle the extension instead of automatically on? only 10% of my video need to be translated. Thanks.

Does it's job exactly as desired. The translation quality exceeded my expectations. I recommend it to people who occasionally need to translate the captions of foreign videos

Used to work amazing. All of a sudden it is not functional. I'm hoping for an update.

Only one i found that was not total bs i would post a pictue but can't i saw a lady named melissa oliver's video on it. All the other ones i found all bs i wanted to watch runescape videos in spanish tbh lol and i am happy i tried others and just no luck they want me to put in an srt file etc and do it myself this does it automatically you just need to select it like how you do captions on youtube simple and easy to use. Took me like an hour to find this though lol

Does not work. For every video I have to manually set the CC to "ON" and choose the language.

I am not sure I read the description wrong or what, it should auto enable the translate right? regardless it is English to English. I am watching mostly English narrated video and my preferred sub is English and this app is hiding or disable my sub. there are reason I need the sub regardless any language due to noisy environment/outdoor. Please always show translation if possible.

best extension i love

Works perfectly with latest version of Chrome. This translates the subtitles. For example, if a video is only available with subtitles for German, and you want them in English or Spanish or whatever, you can use this extension to translate.

it simply dosen't work, in the description it said that it would be able to give automatic captions even when captions or auto captions are not available but when i went to a video with now captions whatsoever and turned on the extenstion it still didn't work. No matter what i did it still wouldn't show any captions, i refreshed it, closed and went back to it with the extanstion turned on but again, it still won't work. Please fix this massive issue with your extanstion thank you.

New issue just started today. Youtube may have changed something. It works as expected when a foreign caption is available, but if the video already has English it previously would show that English caption normally. Now for videos with English captions, it shows all of the captions on at the same time at the beginning of the video, filling the entire video window and going off screen, so none of the captions are appearing at their timings throughout the video. If I use "Toggle Youtube Subtitle translation on/off" and set to off, the captions appear normal again.

It is so nice not to have to go in and set the auto-translation language for each video, thank you for that! The only negative is that if the captions are already in English, they either appear in a giant block at the start of the video (like a transcript) or else don't appear at all, so the extension has to be disabled to view the English captions. Sometimes when the extension is on, auto-translated captions also appear in a block at the start of the video, so that may or may not be due to the extension. The extension is still worth using if you watch a lot of YouTube videos with captions that need to be translated.

Does absolutely nothing. Enabled it in the plugin menu and also selected my language, does nothing.

i was sure that i will give it five stars UNTILL IT WAS GRAYED OUT AND I CANT EVEN SELECT A LANGUAGE..........I WAS USING IT TO BE "FAST", READING INSTEAD OF LISENING TO A LONG LECTURE... that would be useful. but ended up wasting 43min trying to fix it...so disappointed, not recommended

I removed this extension, and the translation box kept appearing. I installed it again and disabled it, then box kept appearing. Why?

This is great! Though what'd make it brilliant is if we had the option for English (Canadian) for fans of Dragon Ball Z Abridged, that way we won't have to manually select the caption language everytime we view the next episode

Working great, The only problem i had with this extension is that you have to manualy toggle CC on/off in order to make it to work. Thanks tho, great extension!

Works OK for me, in Destop PC Chrome where YT videos already has subtitle (even auto generated) then it does what I needed: auto selects English translation in the subtitle. The subtitle still can be turned on or off.

Worked well for me. There was a video in French that only had "auto translate to French". This worked but I only understand English. After installing this extension, I immediately got new options, "auto translate to (anything, including English)," and it works great. Thanks!

I no longer need to click 50 different menus and submenus to select my translation for the video, works great

I think it use popup for settings which doesn't work on Kiwi browser. setting the options in new window possibly works.

Great solution, def works on most vids. But unfortunately doesn't seem to work unless the video at least has the "auto-generate subtitles" option in the youtube video settings. In the video I want to use Youtube's auto-translate feature on, if i click the subtitles/cc button, the options are only "off" and "add subtitles/cc". Can't get your extension to kick in in this case.
