After downloading bulk ; it says downloaded but nothing shows in download folder or chrome download history
after downloading it says bulk finished but nothing shows up anywhere, the download button disappeared from stories, and the last time when the download button stories appeared, when you click to download a video from stories you would get an error. Please fix these issues.
is there any temporary downloaded folder? it says bulk download completed, but there is no save as dialog box

This did exactly what I needed to download an entire small Instagram profile of 175 images. Be patient, it took many minutes, but downloaded a single .zip file with all of the photos.
Been using this for 1-2 years now, seems to be having massive issues as of late, and as of today the download button is completely gone on instagram stories, seems to still be there on normal posts, not sure what is happening
when click download all it collectes the URLs and than nothing happens, same behavior on chrome and edge.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I added the extension, even refreshed the browser. The download icon appears (only when I have an image selected, not when I hover over it in the feed). But regardless, when I click it nothing happens. No error message. Nothing.

Downloads the wrong photo when there are multiple photos on a post. Download video does NOT work.
As there is a new mainainer for this extension, will this extension still be open-source, as in source code posted on github?

It used to be perfect but now IG Stories dont work, videos don't at all. This extension sucks now.

Not working
There are many problems with this plugin. Before the download, it will automatically add the user name to the front. Now only unknown appears, and sometimes there will be repeated downloads. Obviously, the photos I click to download are different, but it will be downloaded repeatedly, and the video will also be downloaded. Can't download, please fix it as soon as possible, otherwise our donation to you will be worthless.
I believe the developer has lost interest in maintaining the addon. I'm considering forking the repo to continue their work. If anyone would like to join in, please reply.
Downloads now say "unknown" in the item name instead of an account name and videos can't be downloaded either.

Still works for Images, Videos are "blocked" but with images during the carousel feature of images, it sometimes downloads the previous image instead of the current image, please fix this and please move the download button out of the way of the "save post" button.

Unfortunately this extension stopped working. Fortunately, I made another one. it's still work i progress, but version with downloading video and media from "slide post" should rollout out the next week (end of September 2022) Extension called "Instagram Download Button". not working
Videos cannot be downloaded, because IG started blocking it. I Love this app very much before but now i can't download videos from this app.. it shows me everytime when I click on the download button... can you fix this pls... 3 star bcoz videos was not download .. otherwise i want to give 10 star..

I really like this App, but seems like not working properly. Few weeks back, it was showing downloaded images and videos with the name of the profile, now its downloading with the name UNKNOWN, (like unknown_181081558_3008593042759292_6350216604668122851_n.jpg). Is there I could do to change like before or something or now the App will continue to be like this only.
looks like instagram having issues now.... my checking is all instagram photo download in chrome not working. I have tested, if open incognito it works... so somehow theres bug connection between app to ig. Update 29/8/2022= well it goes downhill now , download become unknown
The extension worked fine until the developer decided they no longer wanted to maintain it, and was looking for a buyer. Other extensions still work, and this extension will sometimes allow videos to be downloaded before it will block further downloads. I'm willing to bet the dev deliberately sabotaged this plugin because they want someone to purchase it from them.
June 2022: This was the best IG downloader by far and Instagram changed something and broke it - but the newest version can download pictures again with the username but cannot download videos - your extension says "Videos cannot be downloaded, because IG started blocking it." UPDATE AUG 22: So this extension has gone downhill. And it seems like the latest update on AUG 19th, all the photos that are downloaded says "unknown" now.

Every 3rd post cant be downloaded (if there are 4 or more pics in one post). Is there open source that we may contribute and if anyone can review it?
This used to be the best IG downloader out there. But recently it has just gone downhill. Started with videos (other than IGTV) not being able to be downloaded. And now last couple of days it regually says 'can not find post' for images too. Shame the devs of it have just abandoned it. Used to be an awesome plugin

If you look under the options you can see it uses Permissions Read your browsing history This is very shady.

Hey, i JUST HAving one trouble wit this app or extension whatever it calls but my point, could you change the logo because I have the dark theme and it is kinda difficult and I don't understand why the logo is black, because I do not like the black logo because many people here have the dark theme in google chrome, so please DO IT

It was okay, but now it doesn't download videos saying that "Videos cannot be downloaded, because IG started blocking it.".
Broken downloads low quality versions videos on wall won't download (other extensions get them no worries) photos occasionally say could not find post, sometimes downloading an image names it correctly but downloads the next one down on the wall. Story downloading works fine but names everything unknown which is annoying but nothing more then pausing and copying their name.

very good extension, used it more than a year, absolute best one out there. sadly recent update from instagram kinda killed this extension. really a good one, and much thanks to developer. hope this gets updated to download everything off insta, at present it can only download images that are posted, that too occasionally and cannot download any videos, from posts or stories.
Used to be the best Instagram downloader extension, but now has two major bugs: a) Stories are downloaded with a prefix in the filename that always says 'unknown'. Previously, the account name used to be in the downloaded filename. b) The extension says video downloading has been disabled by Instagram, but can't be true. There is another extension called 'Video & Photo Downloader For IG' which does download videos, but unfortunately that extension is worse since it doesn't add the account name to the filename either.

Currently, the best one among other add-ons. But, there is a problem where you need to click multiple times on the download button, in order to save the file. It's irritating sometimes.

Was the best extension before for downloading on IG but IG changed their coding to block it. Hoping this gets fixed. Sucks IG has to be stingy all the time.

good. the only downloader i find still working now. Just one small issue, the 4th photo in a multi photo post does not download correctly (will download the 3rd photo another time instead)
it used to work flawlessly (i dont mass download so i didnt have the problems yall have) but now when i try to download a video, it says "videos cannot be downloaded, because instagram started blocking it" ... i hope theres a workaround or an update bc this is pissing me off. this was the only working and reliable ig downloader out there, and now it doesnt work.

Version 4.6.2. IG stories downloaded files are prefixed with "unknown" instead of the IG username.

This extention not working anymore after new update to 4.6.2. sometimes you can download some photos but the file name is "unknown" instead of account name and the resolution is decrease to low res max. 1350px instead 1800px max before update. Downloader for story and video/reels not working for me too. Hopefully will be fixed ASAP
Instagram just changed something. This extension not working anymore. Hopefully it will be fixed soon ☹ Update: Version 4.6.2 did bring back the download option. BUT The downloaded images are of lower resolution now. The pic which I downloaded yesterday (Version 4.6.1) was 1440x1800 297kb. Today (Version 4.6.2) its just 1080x1350 231kb. ☹ Downloaded story videos have "unknown" instead of profile name. Downloaded post videos show "Videos cannot be downloaded, because IG started blocking it. "

The download button is already displayed, but when downloading IG Story, the file name is displayed as unknown, and some videos cannot be downloaded, and the message "Video cannot be download, because IG started blocking it" will appear. Please try to fix this vulnerability. thanks

Something changed on Chrome that this extension isn't working here anymore, but still works on Edge. Just activate the option to allow extensions from others stores there and you can still use it.

Amazing extension that does everything it says it does. HOWEVER starting a couple days ago the extension seems to be broken for my account. I'm pretty sure IG pushed out an update and killed the extension with it, really hoping it can be fixed.
Stopped working today, I'm uninstalling and switching to another extension.
It stopped working yesterday. But otherwise was a great extension. It let you download(photos and videos) from posts and from stories also.
