Unfortunately no longer seems to be working. Working open-source alternative: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wanikanify-20/mgnblnbdmneollbncamkogcpgpjgekpf?hl=en Github: https://github.com/ThePieMonster/WaniKanify-2.0

Doesn't work. I'm sure it was great when it did work.

Like the idea, but the whitelist doesn't seem to work.

Excellent as a sort of flashcard implementation. Obviously not good for actual reading since it is still in english grammar format etc. But as far as ensuring you see recently learning words, it is excellent.

Solid extension, good for remembering vocab and getting proficient at reading quickly. I haven't used the personal vocab lists or tables yet but they seem like they add a lot to the extension. I would highly recommend this extension to anybody using Wanikani. A few things that could be improved on: 1. Blacklist and/or overrides (use a certain meaning over another) for certain words/kanji for words that consistently aren't making contextual sense 2. Increased information shown when hovering above a kanji/vocab such as the reading (hiragana) 3. The ability to click Wanikanified words to bring you to the Wanikani info page for that kanji/vocab With these few added features, this extension could go from a good one to a great one. -1 star for lack of above features. EDIT: Using Rikaikun, #2/3 are resolved.

Really great tool to get in extra practice. Great for learning secondary and tertiary meanings of kanji. Needs to have some sort of contextual awareness implemented in future versions.

This app is amazing for practice, but makes me think like I'm talking like a weeaboo whenever I'm on the internet! lol

Great chrome extension, makes learning Japanese considerably easier by heightening immersion based on your Wanikani level. A couple of small fixes which would be fairly significant improvements: 1) an ignore list for words like "and" which is currently being replaced with "又" (I'm guessing I'll encounter more like that later on.) 2) Including the hiragana/katakana spelling of the word next to the English definition which one sees when one scrolls over a replaced word.

Love it, though recently bumped into a slight bug/issue/annoyance. One day is being treated as singular words, any chance to have this treated as a combination?

This is a wonderful App, allows for immersive learning. Thank you! There is a firefox version out, I'd love to see a Safari version too if possible!

How do I stop it from using SimSun font on Wanikani?

This is the first extension review I have written and I just have to say how happy I am with Wanikanify. It's so exciting as a beginner, to see my vocabulary slowly start to be introduced into my daily reading. Thank you so much jose.e.falcon.

This is awesome. One thing to add up though, it would be even better if there was an option to get the page wanikanified automatically as it loads..

This extension is AWESOME!, except for the fact that it causes new tabs to freeze for ~10 seconds.

Good idea. I would like the hover to give you the phonetic pronounciation, and the click to give the translation though.

I have to give it 4 stars because as much as I absolutely love it, I have to disable it each time I'm writing any sort of email/blog entry as it does not only edit the website.. it edits text fields too which means you will be sending weird emails to your friends with Kanji inserted.

What a brilliant way to study kanji / vocab while you're just doing what you normally do. Every Crabigator follower ought to install this plugin.

This is the best plugin to ever grace the chrome web store. Indeed, every fellow wanikanian should download this right now!
