How about native terminal from OS that Chrome browser was installed?, since looking for an alternative for VS Code, but can run offline on Chrome Extension
Amazing extension if you want to get some work done on a chromebook. A lot of times I'm sitting in study hall, bored and wasting time, but then I open this up and I'm able to easily get some work done on my websites. Although the real reason I gave it five stars was because the matrix theme is better than any other theme that any other text editor provides. One tiny suggestion I have is the option to toggle between the bigger button gui and the old one, but other than that, I would give this 6 stars if I could!
It's just what I needed: Open an existing text file from a local drive or create one from scratch. Save the text file to a local drive.
Really liking this so far! Hope to see this continue to be supported.
Everything is great!!! The only thing I need is being able to type in Lua, that's it!
Exactly what I'm hoping to find
I like it. I wish (1) it could open in a tab and (2) it could enable code folding.
Does not save to windows 10 pro pc properly, lost a lot of notes and contents!
Does not auto save or prompt on exist for unsaved changes - lost work, gave up.
how to open this extension as a new tab in chrome, not as a standalone window?
Everything about it seems fine. My only query is that there is not a mode for Java specifically which is different to JavaScript, so when I want to save the file it's preset to JavaScript which I have to manually change. Also it seems for me that when I click the "Save" button nothing happens and I have to continually keep on clicking the "Save As" button whenever I want to save an updated file.
It's an easy application to use, it also allows me to copy code snippets and quickly locate opening and closing brackets, plus it's distraction-free and shows up every time I log myself into a Chrome browser... What more could I ask for?
nice for editing
