No longer works. The "Scan Matches" button gets "There was an error communicating with Ancestry Server try your scan again"
After a few weeks of trying, I just cannot figure out how to use this extension. A step-by-step job aide or short video would be helpful!
server comm error
this was a great tool until it stopped working
No longer works owing to Ancestry blocking access; not your fault but you need to advise people otherwise we will all be wasting our time.
Does it still work? I get "There was an error communicating with Ancestry Server" error.
simply does not work
Something may have changed on the Ancestry.com end. This extension no longer works.
sounds like a great application. i wish i could get it to work. It has never worked for me. i have cleared cache (i hate that) read and followed all instructions. i cannot find an answer to similar questions on the support tab.
worked fine on first try about 3 weeks ago but now no longer functions. Wont scan or anything.
Why it takes only matches with more than 20cM ? And how to take all matches?
I receive a message that my cluster files are corrupted. They will not open in Execl.
Definitely a really nice tool! Thank you and keep up the good work.
Great app/extension thank you! I really missed Ancestry DNA Helper when Ancestry updated their presentation of results with new features such as Thrulines. This app fills the bill very nicely and even grabs the 'user added notes', thanks.
This is incredible! So useful to have an "ICW Matrix," to be able to change the thresholds... it's just great! If you could add an html file with a colored, visual representation of the clusters, then I would totally pay for this extension ;-) Thank you for creating such a great tool!
Nice set of tools! Keep it coming!
Download files have a generic name "Select a Test".... not easy to see which person is being downloaded.
At a minimum it lets you get to all the match information which recent Ancestry search changes have made so difficult to find otherwise. At best the clusters it identifies can focus your search to break brick walls. It doesn't handle large data sets so well, producing XML files too large for LibreOffice to load. Maybe Excel can load them. So I wrote my own clustering scripts using the CSV files this extension provided.
