doesn't work
Just installed the extension. I've tried everything including restarting the browser from scratch and the extension does not work at all. I'm using the latest Chrome browser and I'm attempting to play a single song. It just continues to play a new auto selected song. I DOESN'T WORK
Prevents from watching age restricted video, which are allowed by age.

This app fails to disable autoplay!
If this disabled videos from automatically playing on Youtube, it would be named appropriately. However, it does not do this. I suggest the developer change the name to "Does Not Disable Autoplay For Youtube".

Works some of the time. This extension hasn't been supported since 2017. Try YouTube Enhancer.
It's not working. Videos keep playing anyway. Trash.
Surprise surprise it does not actually do anything except ad a little icon on you browsers tool bar. It is kind of like a piece of jewelry for you browser.

Works very well for me. Very useful extension if you don't want youtube to autoplay, as Google seem to have progressively removed the ability to do this from their own settings. Easy to switch on and off with the toolbar button and simple option selection by right-clicking the toolbar button. One minor glitch is that youtube channel pages sometimes fail to display when the extension is enabled, but a simple workround if this happens is shift-refresh.
Doesn't work at all. Click on a youtube video, then it plays automatically.
Every third or fourth time a new page is opened, the page won't load. But when pages do load, the video doesn't play, so I guess it works when it's working.
Best Extension for the Job. it also has a bunch of extra things that are just like a cherry on top. I love this thing <3
update: nvm it stopped working today ___ Works as intended but it stops the vid at the BEGINNING of the video. What I need is when sharing my lessons with students to stop the video at the point where I share the lesson. Youtube "Share" you can copy paste a url that puts you at point on vid. If I try use this extension and youtube share exact spot on vid this extension will not let me go spot on vid.

Did exactly what I wanted. However, if you are on desktop and go back to a previous page it still allows the sound from the previous video to play for several seconds. A minor annoyance, but way much better then a YT vid playing as soon as I click the thumbnail.

I can open multiple youtube tabs & not have to go in & stop each one. Edit: Only Stop Autoplay app still working in 2020. Recommend uninstalling & reinstalling if not working.
No longer works, in a catastrophic manner. It blanks out every page you open on YouTube. Major bug.
The extension no longer works. The video is stopped, but then it is completely unable to resume. YouTube just displays an error message. This extension is broken on all my browsers on my Win10 machine and all my browsers on my Ubuntu machine.
IT STOPPED WORKING 3 DAYS AGO .. YOUTUBE NOW GIVES ME AN ERROR ON THE VIDEO!
Not often i'll leave a review but I wanted to get away from Magic Actions which had started causing chrome to crash and this has done the trick. Thank you!
As of 10.1.2019 this extension works nearly flawlessly. the video might run for 1-3 seconds, but it's so much better than an autoplaying ad.

Don't work
Edit: New update actually broke it this time, reinstalling did not fix it. A youtube update broke every autoplay stopping extension I had. This is the only one that works now.

I hated opening the browser, going to a Youtube tab and the video start automatically. This is the first extension I've tried to fix the issue and it works. So it's staying. Lol
