Mightytext was somewhat useful until Google came out with their own free text from browser service. I canceled my MIghtytext Pro subscription several years ago as I don't need it. Still they bill med credit card annually. There is no way to contact them by phone or e-mail. I have reported this to Mastercard, and they are canceling my card and sending me a new card. Please stop billing me for services which I have not requested and do not want.

Mighty text from computer is painful - it doesn't sync up with phone or vice versa. I had decided to give a 2nd shot but now i totally regret it .. its very stressful.

I absolutely LOVE having the ability to read and write texts from my PC!! My only true gripe is that when you are using the little window that pops up when someone texts you... the menu at the bottom right gets in the way and you can see what you are typing. It's been this way since I first subscribed several years ago. I will change my rating to 5 stars if/when you can get this fixed. Thanks!

This works GREAT! and is a VITAL component when posting links to clients from my desktop. I was using Verizon messenger+ for years and it worked, not very well a lot of times but was at least was free. The latest messenger+ "update" crashed immediately and, that was THAT! ENOUGH! I am using the Pro version of MT and yes, it's 80 bucks a year but, it works flawlessly with many more features plus, MUCH FASTER! Their CS is first rate as well, I am not very tech savvy, they reply immediately to inquires and, while using it offers prompts on a sidebar if it detects something isn't quite right. For folks that need this type of service when conducting business, MT ROCKS!

Just recently having an issue. Some texts are going through, but it never shows completed in the app. Always an orange clock. and not getting any return messages through the app. I have tried unlinking and resetting it up, I tried refreshing. I would say this has only been happening in the past few weeks. prior to that it would happen on occasion but I was always able to refresh or resync. I use it for work so I miss it when it is not working correctly. I have to make sure my texts go through to my doctors in the NSICU.

I just installed it on the Chromebook and an Android Phone. I believe all is working. But I have a question. Will archiving ever be available? Why? When all the names are showing of past conversations I've found time to time I click the wrong person or text to the wrong person. I eliminate that by archiving each person and conversation when done. Who hasn't sent a text to the wrong person with everyone's name up there? by

DONT PAY FOR THIS APP! I made the mistake of paying for this app for a year. I wont do this again. Messages dont go through for hours, when I send a message it sends it twice every time, I NEVER see my messages that I send from my phone on the site.... those are the biggest/main issues. I wont go into the other little ones. DONT PAY FOR THIS APP. I went to Best Buy because I am a total tech support member. They set me up with a program already installed for Windows to help me be able to send texts from my computer, call from my computer, and do more than this crummy app does.

Monthly limit for free sms is down to 75 atm ?? these guys are just idiots. Sorry mightytext team, but you are asking for $6-7/month to send >75 messages for me. ROFL ??? Why? Do you actually have your own sms server that does not use my credit for the SMSs? NO! No, you don't. It is my phone and carrier that does that. But you are billing people like an sms server would. So you're bull? ? Everyone, just go with google messages or MySms app, or anything else, don't get ripped-off by these guys. You can see how desperate but still arrogant they are by forcing a $80/year subscription just so that you can send >75sms through their app. ?

Terrible. Did not function AT ALL. I payed the 80/yr fee, and I got a handful of air for it. Good job in making this trash. I would rate it 0/5, but sadly it's not possible. Get a life.

Registration errors in Chrome are getting to be too often that I am going to uninstall. Several times a month this occurs. I check the box to not be notified again but that rarely stops the pop ups. I have to actually take action to get them to stop. This is extremely frustrating when I'm in the middle of working and have to stop to attend to something as trivial as this.

The web app keeps redirecting over and over on chrome, making it completely unusable. It used to be a nice app.

I've been using and recommending MightyText for years - a wonderful idea, well implemented. With the start of the COVID lockdown texting became even more important and MightyText was even more useful because I was usually near a keyboard. However, shortly into the lockdown period MightyText informed me that I had reached my new monthly limit and the only way to keep using it was to adopt their new expensive subscription model. Was this a planned change or were they trying to profit from COVID? Naturally, I switched to Google's Messages for web which is almost as good but does the job for free. I strongly recommend that anybody considering using MightyText save the hassle and go directly to https://messages.google.com

Think it is great, it could improve with picture size, the pictures on my computer do not download from my phone to full screen as I thought they would. Also I have a Samsung Tab A Tablet, it does not have a sim card I work it through wifi at home or tethering when on the move. I only use it for emails, you tube etc not phone calls. I cannot use the app on my tablet without losing it on my Samsung 7 phone. I have not followed the whole process to download onto my tablet as I need it on my phone. But that aside it is a very useful app.

Pro version might be great but I'm not paying a subscription fee for texts. The free version supports 75 texts so if you text more than twice a day this app will cease to be useful before the end of the month.

uploads and stores photos on Mightytext servers which are available to employees, contractors and hackers. The uploads can't be stopped, precluded or removed. This is a dangerous trademark violation which isn't publicly disclosed. When queried, MightyText representative was forthright. Kudos for that.

This is one of those rare applications that over performs to the boastful online advertising. You absolutely will thank me for encouraging you to use Mightytext. I am a long time user and a premium user and I hope they just keep up the great work!

I was using it to help me supliment my case notes however, it nolonger works. I am not sure what happened. Once I shut down my browser I could not get logged back in. WTH this sucks.

I am very disappointed lack of customer service with this app. I had used this in the past and decided to use it again. This time around I am very Disappointed and will never use this app again. I was trying to cancel it before I was charged and couldn't find where to cancel. I email someone and asked for a call or to please cancel the transaction and to date no response or money being credit back to my account.

Will not stop giving pop ups and is a paid service pretending to be free. there is a text limit it will not tell you about, then it will demand $6.99 per month. If you chose to delete the app, you will CONTINUE to get POP UPS on your computer asking you to sign in. I've deleted the chrome extension, the computer app portion, everything. STILL GETTING POP UPS THAT COVER MY SCREEN 3-4 TIMES A DAY. IVE REACHED OUT TO MIGHTYTEXT. NO RESPONSE. SEARCH THE INTERNET, SEE FOR YOUR SELF. ONCE YOU DOWNLOAD THIS YOU HAVE IT FOREVER.

I have been using MightyText for a few years now. Only the slightest issue when it comes to group messages. It just takes a few minutes to pop up on my laptop. No big deal though. Highly recommend!

I just got it and no problems yet.

It works fine for me and that includes texting my husband. I love it, for that reason. My only beef is that the dark theme requires an expensive Pro account. I mean come on, even Disney is cheaper. I have a halo vision problem, so I cannot use light backgrounds without my eyes bothering me. I am disappointed that they do not seem friendly about accessibility. I wouldn't mind paying a couple of bucks for a dark theme but I am angry that I have to have a paid account, just to use it. That to me is inexcusable. Other than that, it really is helpful. I'm not constantly reaching for my phone when I am working. I just keep a tab open with the texting and all I have to do is switch tabs. I wish I had been using this earlier. That said, as soon as a better app comes along that lets me switch to dark themes, I will say Sayonara to this one.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO SPAM YOUR EMAIL INBOX. There is no unsubscribe in their emails... which I am pretty sure is illegal... but either way annoying... I get several emails a week now even though I uninstalled the app several days ago. Absolutely horrible.

Does not work unless you seriously compromise your privacy. Everyone and their neighbour will track you every movement. It tried to connect to numerous domains and requires 3rd party cookies...No, no NO, Hell NO!

It was pretty good until it limited me to a certain # of texts online per month unless I paid them!! Not thanks!!

It's OK, but I want to use it with my Google Voice number instead of my carrier number. Is that possible?

Paid for Pro but even then, it is very basic and minimal. Can't upload csv files to send out large sms blasts. Can't add, edit or delete contacts. Sometimes doesn't work when you're trying to send a photo. It's ok for a basic sms service, but other than that, get a different extension

The newest update to notifications is utter trash. I can't even read them at a glance anymore. I have to fiddle with the un-minimizing button just to see the notifications, and the text contrast is so low now, I can't even quickly read them. I have no idea how mightytext thought this was a good idea to update it in this manner.

I have been using this gem for years. All day and everyday in my business. It is a stellar product. The premium version is well worth the minimal cost - these guys at MightyText have ALWAYS been outstanding in resolving any issue that I have experienced. I bought my Premium version and have not received anything for my comments here.

The Mighty Text homepage loads and I'm able to sign in. However, when I try to send text or use any functions I'm unable to do so; and I'm getting an error message saying no internet connection although my internet is working good for many other sites. The extension icon says "Unable to reach Mightytext. Please check your connection." And the webpage once loaded says "Unable to connect to MightyText. Please check your internet connection and try again."

Used to work ok - but of late hasn't really worked at all. Uninstalling (had to reinstall just to write this review). Switching to Messages for Web which seems to work great.

This app worked seemlessly well. The only flaw I found in the app was a one-time disconnection from my phone which I assume will be because, I lost internet connection. I am happy with the functionality the app provides, as I am able to work without my phone in sight and get notifications the second they drop on my phone. This allows me to decide whether or not to pick my phone or not. This is the very first time I am writing a review about an app. This app has provoked to me to do so. I urge the team or whoever is in charge to keep up the good work.

This is a scam they say its free until they get your CC number, then you can not get out. shame on Google for sponsoring such a scamming website. Tell the facts up front and let you decide if you want it! It my be ran by Democrats!

This extension has all the bases covered to be an incredible tool but the lack of continued development, continued reduction of free messages, and unresponsiveness to bug fixes and features from users is hindering it's success! I have been on and off the paid version and requested them to remove the "This message was sent from mightytext..." form the 'text this page' feature on Pro and every time I have made this request for the last two years, it has been sent to developers to change with no update or response from them after. Other issues that I have experienced are mentioned throughout these reviews and are infrequent annoyances for the overall experience except the text this page feature no longer works for me at all. The excuse of continuing reductions of free messages due to a growing user base of 9 million users is ridiculous. Whoever told customer service to say this needs to get retrained. For online services, such as mighty text, your profit ratio formula likely mirrors every other technical service like this and your profit margins continue to grow after your break even point of users subscriptions. The larger your base grows, the less marginal costs are incurred to grow your own required infrastructure to support that growing user base. To suggest that you are reducing free services because you are growing so big means your business is operating with a different profitability ratio than every other big tech service. This means you either don't know what you are doing or are lying to free users. If you are going to reduce it so much now, then you should charge less or offer pricing brackets to support various users volumes.

Doesn't send messages reliably. Seems buggy. Messages sent from computer are marked sent with a timestamp in the mightytext web app but sometimes my phone hasn't actually sent them.

Meh. I liked it but definitely not enough to pay $80 a year when there are other options that are free.

Hi, I don't understand, messaging all over your website says ANDROID APP, and for PHONE. And even at the top of this page it says: "Available for Android Get it." But when i click the link it says "We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server". What is the discrepancy? Thank you.

I was very excited about this program. MYSMS was working "okay" but not perfect. So I figured I'd try this out. To get the same features I had to upgrade to "pro". This app costs OVER $6 PER MONTH vs MYSMS which is $10 a YEAR! Buh Bye MightText! I've never hit the uninstall button so quickly. LOVING MySMS now. :) If you're happy with few features, then this is free, and that's fine. If you want to type in a simply thing like contact names, then get ready to shell out the bucks buddy. Thanks... I'll pass.

I'm constantly having to reconnect my phone and/or reloading the program to make it work. Now I opened the program on my computer and it won't connect at all, it's constantly saying redirecting redirecting redirecting. Then i figured it out and it's the fact that something changed and mightytext requires a third party connection for cookies. I have never allowed this on my computer and I never had a problem, now something changed and it doesn't work at all. I would have cancelled my subscription last night if there was a phone number to call but all I found was away to email them. HORRIBLE. When the program works this is a great thing but almost everyday to every other day I'm doing something to make this work.

Worked great until the most recent update. Now all I get is a pop up that says it can't connect to the service. Receive the following error: Error connecting to MightyText. If this continues, please inform our team. We are sorry for the inconvenience. (Error Code: CRX-GU72)

I've been giving them the same feedback for the past year with about 9 items that don't work. The response is always the same, "We're working on it and hope to have a solution soon". $80 a year is way too expensive, especially for something that doesn't work as advertised. Here is my feedback: 1) Chat window doesn't automatically refresh. 2) Multi-pic messages don't display all of the pictures. 3) Live-phone view isn't even there on the same computers that have the auto-refresh issue. 4) MightyText randomly doesn't send or receive messages when the phone has WIFI enabled. Disabling WIFI fixes this, but shouldn't need to be done. 5) Contact pictures associated with names randomly do not show. Choosing to refresh the contact's pic doesn't help. 6) Names associated with numbers randomly do not show. Choosing to "refresh contact names from phone" doesn't help. 7) Live phone few is too limited as to what it shows. Ditch the fancy phone pic and make the feature actually work correctly. It only shows the first few notifications. Why? Some notifications have a + sign as if expanding the messages shows more information. It doesn't. 8) Version 7.9.2 is over a year old. No R&D for over a year? 9) Someone sent me a text message, who is in my address book, that hasn't ever sent me a text before. I replied to them via my phone. The thread refuses to show up in MightyText.

since free users keep reduced in features, i will use airdroid instead

The free version was great, unlimited and ad supported. No biggie. Now they've gone from no-limit ad supported, to 100 texts/month ad supported forcing me to buy the PRO version. Not going to happen.

Monthly limit for free users keeps decreasing. 150 --> 125 --> 100. No reasonably priced plans available for people who just need a couple hundred texts a month. Just trying to squeeze the money out of its users...

Great extension, works almost perfectly. Except that texts to and from my husband are not working, I have to send and receive those on my phone. I have a custom notification sound for him on my phone, and that's the only thing different from all my other recipients. Very frustrating to have a great app but have it not work with the contact that I text with most often.

When I first started using Mighty Text, you could send 200 free text, then it was 150, now it's 125. They keep decreasing the number in order to get you to use a paid version - however, the amount they want you to pay is ridiculous. If it was $1 a month, I'd pay but they want you to pay 6 or 7 dollars a month. That's way too much - I'll just reach over and grab my phone.

You must verify on ur phone I don't have a phone hence why I'm using this garbage.

From when I first started using this it was alright, but they keep reducing and reducing the number of texts you're allowed to send as a free user. Used to be 500, then 200, then 150, now it's 125. Ridiculous.

There is no way to delete your account and this extension and the app keep all of your photos, texts, and apps list. DON'T DO IT

Recently have become money-hungry and limit monthly messages to 125 for "free users", require a monthly subscription to send more from the desktop client. This app used to be much better and have recently become more restrictive in favor of receiving more money from potential customers. No longer using this after several years of use. Doesn't even work half the time these days.

just loaded. all my text messages are missing my input from ealier, how can I fix this? pretty useless this way.

Everytime i time i write something in mighty text and before sending it if i open new tab, then when i come back mighty text refreshes and all my written text is deleted and i must do it again!!!! Please fix this bug!!!!!!!!

it only syncs some of the texts from your phone. This inconsistency is the main downfall of the extension. Also, most of its decent features are only available by paying for a subscription that costs way more than it's worth.

Great App. I use it a lot

Great extension overall. However, I wish there was an option in settings to disable "Not signed in" notifications; when I don't use the extension, and it's on purpose, there's a notification popping up every 5 minutes or so, and they don't auto-dismiss themselves after some time either.

Wrong contact names come up with message. Support was not able to fix it. Not worth paying higher fee for messages. Just dont use it anymore. PITA

Seems to work fine .. but ... contact lists are a "pro" feature. Which means you still have to go back to your phone to manually check numbers and then type in the leading digits to bring up the right number. Ah, yeah ... nah.

It works, but... Didn't show all names from my agenda.

Shows wrong name attached to text threads. Very annoying. For instance my two best friends come up as a former male coworker and my parents come up as another friend. I don't want to have to remember who I'm talking to because MightyText can't just show the correct, which are attached to the numbers I'm actually texting. Looking for another text app that shows the correct contacts

Works definitely better than mysms, plus lots of free xtra features.

This is BY FAR the best extension / app I have installed. I get more use out of this app than any other I have. I would DEFINITELY recommend using the PRO version! I generally do not PAY for extensions / apps but this is one of the few that I have no problem paying for. It provides way more benefit than it costs! GET THIS APP / EXTENSION NOW!!! Trust me, you wont be able to work without it after trying it out!

I intensely dislike the fact that you cannot simply buy the upgrade, you can only rent it. Why? It's not like "MightyText" stores the images, or provides the network -- it's either my cell phone or my internet that takes care of that. Also, the upgrade so that I can transmit videos and photos. And the limit of 150 in the basic version. There is an easy way to solve that -- there aren't that many instances where I have to use this. But, there are times when it's convenient. And when I'm not using it, I sign out. And after using it for a few days, I'm most annoyed at the notification subroutine. I have completely blocked it. Or at least, I thought I had. I keep getting notifications at the bottom of the screen which says, You are currently signed out of Mighty Text". Which couldn't possibly be true because I was on and using the Mighty Text web page! AT THE TIME! So, I'm not sure who wrote your code, but this is a HUGE glitch.
