PLEASE reconsider. It does block quickly but hits an error loop about halfway through. I lost my Twitter account of 10 years because I couldn't log back in after refreshing the page (which this extension recommends to resolve the error message). I regret using it.
Doesn't work. Maybe the extension needs to be updated, but it's not appearing on followers pages as described.
Excellent app. Worked perfectly.
it works but like others have said it does run into a limit. you can bypass it though. for me it hit the limit at ~1000 but I waited a day and was able to block another 1000 by running it again. it skips the ones you already blocked so you can use it to work through the entire list in a few days. I dont know what the exact cooldown time is but I waited like 12 hours to be safe.
This is a garbage app that doesn't work
Definitely works, but under specific circumstances - Has to be a following/follower list (Which is fine, but I'd like an alternative similar to this that works with retweets and likes) - Has to be below a certain number or Twitter will log you out (I think the cap is around 500?) Otherwise, it works exactly how it's supposed to and I'm pretty happy with my >5000 blocked accounts :P
Works well for me. Twitter locked my account after I ran it on a list of 2000. Needs a limiter and a throttle.
The block chain does work, but seems to error out around the 500th person it has blocked on a single list. This generally results in being signed out from the browser and unable to navigate twitter until you close all Chrome windows, return to twitter and re-login. If this happens too many times, you will occasionally have to do multifactor authenticating. I am guessing that twitter is seeing too many transactions occurring in a short period of time and assuming a "bot" is in control. I wish there was a way around this, but I am guessing twitter is the issue and not this browser extension.
Doesn't work at all.
Does not work, at all All it does is signs you out of Twitter and makes you refresh the page several times to get back in.
I kept trying to get it to work but it didnt do anything
Doesn't work, just get errors and kicked out of my account. Tried using on a user with large list
Used it once. It blocked a few hundred and errored out the rest. Now it doesn't even run. I click on the extension and nothing happens at all.
Seems to successfully mass block but causes twitter to have critical errors that require me to clear cache and log back in.
It keeps logging me out after use and that makes me uncomfortable and unsettled. Uninstalling, will not use again
Doesn't work at all
It doesn't even work. It never activates. All my software is updated. Fix your code.
tried to use it one time and gave an error after a couple blocks and then afterwards twitter doesnt work at all anymore even when I removed the extension it just wont let me log in and if I am logged in automatically when I open twitter nothing loads
Kicks me out of every session or Twitter stops working every time I use it so I always have to clear the site's cookies, this bug is really damn annoying.
says it works, but i tried to block an account with maybe 150 followers and it immediately sent my account into an error loop. i'm not sure what needs to be fixed, on my end or yours or twitter's, but it doesn't work and only ended up blocking one account of the 150.
Works for blocking people fine. But after running it on an account it completely locks me out of using twitter until I've cleared cookies for the site and logged back on which is an absolute pain
Doesn't work at all. Just keeps popping up with a "There was an error retrieving more accounts. Please refresh the page and try again." Trying to block NFT accounts. This extension is pure trash. Look elsewhere.
I have to clear my cookies after every single time I run the thing.
Works, mostly, but it's a pain to use. Every time after you run it, you get logged out and your cookies are corrupted, so you have to manually delete your twitter cookies from chrome and log back in. Sounds like this isn't the developer's fault but I hope someday someone finds a smoother updated solution.
works decently but twitter will freak out and think youve been hacked so you need to keep clearing cookies and logging in again, seems to get around 500 blocks in before this happens at first but as you keep going it gets lowered, pretty sure this is on twitters and not the extension end but its still inconvenient.
It works well but for Opera GX it corrupts the cookies so you have to delete them to continue using the site I like it though it goes very fast
It blocked an accounts follower's for me just fine but it also logged me out of two of my accounts (even though i was only using it on one acc). i just want to be able to mass block pedophiles without getting logged out of my account. but it kinda did it's job idk.
Tried running a blockchain... it works... but Twitter kicked me out on my computer and won't let me log back in!
it is not working at all. i hit run block chain and nothing happens!
It doesn't work. I click on it and a menu pops down and then, nothing.
Sadly looks like this one no longer works, have tried multiple times today and read over a lot and can't find any way to get this extension to work. Would have been a really useful tool.
It works for a bit before crashing. Heck, I couldn't get back into my twitter account. I had to switch browsers in order to get back on. I didn't give it a 1 star because I don't hate it, but it's not enough for me to say it's okay (3 star).
Timed out after less than 200. I'd be fine with running this for 2 hours with the hate I have for that specific account, so if we have to lower the api calls to once per second then i say do it
consegui bloquear apenas algumas centenas de pessoas antes de ser deslogada do twitter e não conseguir entrar de novo
Worked for me on Brave 1.29.81, successfully blocked ~350 users almost instantly.
It blocked a few, then I got auto-logged-out and keep getting error messages when I try to login to twitter again.
it doesn't work for me at all
i've tried restarting chrome and my PC several times after installing this extension, but it simply does not work.
blocked 17k accounts in 4 minutes
Did its job perfectly fine, but made twitter crash for me . this was after it only blocked about 62 accounts
5 stars because rating algorithms suck Concept is good, execution is rocky asf. Perhaps contacting the guys working on tumblr xkit will help you?
Give it a couple of shots and it blocks everybody. If you see a error page after this, click on the lock at the top of the address bar, go to site settings and click clear data. Then twitter will work again ?
it really can't do more than a few hundred before it starts giving errors and breaking my twitter... please please please fix it. i absolutely need it to completely ban the followers of certain communities who have been trolling us minorities.
It has a problem that says "Something went wrong. Try reloading." every time i use it. You will have to fix it, but for now, the solution is either wait for it to fix itself, or remove your chrome cache and force a log out and log in again.
It seems to work as advertised, although running the app logs you out of your Twitter account and seems to prevent content from being displayed even if you log back in until you delete your browser cookies. It also lists a large number of errors on the results screen which there seems to be no way to review. The forced logout concerns me and I hope there's no repercussions from Twitter to my account as a result of this. None of the other reviews seem to mention anything like this though so it's probably okay to use.
I was able to use it pretty seamlessly until it went to refresh the page. it completely logged me out and wont let me back on the homepage. like at all. even closing the page, opening a NEW tab, didnt work. twitter just doesnt work on my laptop anymore. but, yeah, it blocks ppl. at least that works.
it worked for me blocking an acc with abt 100-200 followers but it did log me out of twitter n i needed to clear my cookies before twitter worked again, so that sucks. it will do in a pinch but its a hassle to use
Ran it on an account with 650 followers and it successfully blocked most of them, had 213 errors, then logged me out of my account and now twitter on my laptop won't work. I keep getting "something went wrong, try again to reload" Really not a good extension
Doesn't work at all
4 stars because it tends to be buggy where it sometimes stops around ~500 followers sometimes more and rarely does everything in one go, but hey, if you're patient enough, creeps begone!
Useless garbage. Does nothing, breaks Twitter website completely until you erase cookies.
twitter doesn't work at all on my laptop anymore, im surprised i didnt get suspended
It's not working. At all.
It works. I have been able to block 400+ accounts in seconds. That said, it causes my Twitter to crash and I have to restart Chrome for me to be able to use Twitter again. Didn't need to delete any cache and cookies though so that's okay, I guess. But I still wish I didn't have to restart Chrome and relog to Twitter every time I want to run the extension. Update: I used mobile.twitter and it didn't crash for me for a few tries so that might help other people using this extension. Also, I just noticed that after a few hundred blocks, there's an error and so subsequent accounts on the list are not blocked. I wish they updated this extension.
Causes twitter to lock me out every time I use it. Useless.
error + forced log out
Breaks Twitter once it's beeen run. Have to clear cookies after using the extension just to log back in. Seems to max out at 500 accounts at a time.
DO NOT USE! Ran this on one account. It blocked a handful of people, gave me an error message, and now I can't use Twitter on Chrome anymore. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Works good. Just remind yourself that twitter stops you from excessive actions if it detects its a bot/spam so just delete cookies, use mobile.twitter and keep cycling when you get an error
Literally worked perfectly the first time, blocked 170 accounts in a few seconds.
It works, but not well. It crushes twitter.
It actually broke my twitter webpage
Fantastic idea, terrible execution. Stops working after blocking 60 followers, need to clear the cache each time, then log in to Twitter again. At this rate, I'll probably achieve similar results by blocking them one by one.
It used to work perfectly but now it crashes my twitter every time I use it and I have to clear all my history data and clear my cache just to be able to log into twitter again.....
Works sometimes. Logs me out immediately after use and requires my browser's history to be cleared. Can't be used on larger accounts, either.
Doesn't work, just tells me there was an error each time and refuses to block any accounts
It logged me out of my accounts and wouldnt let me into twitter. I thought it hacked my account for a good 5 mins. It also did not work to block anyone on a page.... seems like a scam bruh idk
It works okay, but only okay, in that it will definitely throw errors shortly after starting. The sweet number for me is about 700 before it starts having issues, but a couple passes got everyone blocked and it's still much easier than doing it manually.
Great idea, but as others have said, it apparently doesn't want to function...at all?? Navigated to a person's page (with 6.7 followers) and hit the Run Block Chain button. ...No response. Kind of embarrassing.
Crashed my entire twitter for chrome. Only get "something went wrong try again" messages for every page of all my accounts. Cannot log out of my account or log in with another account. Clearing your twitter cookies fixes this problem, but that's WAY more hassle than it needs to be.
Despite what some other reviews have said, it definitely works. It didn't until I cleared my cookies etc., and that's what you have to do to clear big lists of people- every 2000 people or so it'll say 'error' and then it'll log you out, but when you clear cookies, it works perfectly again.
Blocked 1023 accounts after being targeted by a transphobe and their followers. Had to run twice, and logged me out twice too, so knocking a star off for that, but otherwise a big help.
The extension used to work for me before but now it's just broken. Logged me out of my account when I try to use it and still didn't work when I log back in until I deleted my cookies. I have to give it 1 star for now.
crashed my entire twitter, kept getting "something went wrong" no matter what page i went to on it. wont let me log out and only works on incognito mode now? probably have to clear my cookies now but ...
Works pretty well! Be sure to refresh your cache/cookies before logging back in, helps with errors. One thing I would love to be added is to be able to run a blockchain on someone who has already blocked you. This would make life a whole lot easier for me. Thanks!
Not working.
Simply doesn't work at all
needs serious fixes after using it, the website wont load and we have to clear out the cache
it works, but only if the followers list is small. however, after running the chain block, chrome would not load the twitter page. to get chrome to load twitter again, cookies and cache must be cleared. i wish this extension also has the option of blocking people who liked a particular tweet.
Hi! Very cool extension! Can we expect newer version?
Nothing happens. Tried using it, absolutely nothing happened in the slightest.
2021/21/1 writing review on this date. it worked perfectly fine. thank you so much i was finely able to remove all my twitter followers at once.
Put simply, this just doesn't work.
It was okay since it was blocking hundreds of users at the same time but the issue is that I am planning to block multiple users with more that or at least 10k followers. An error always appears whenever it reached 579 blocked users. And after that error it logs out my account and I had to close the browser and clear cache. It's a bit of a hassle. It may only be useful if you're blocking accounts with hundreds of followers but if more than that its a hassle its disappointing. I even updated my chrome but it still occurs.
Doesn't work. Nothing happens when I click "Run block chain."
It constantly crashes my Twitter page and I have to clear cookies/cache to fix it. It's annoying and defeats the purpose of even downloading this extension.
on first run i got booted out of my account and can't get back in...
Yeah, I installed this because I've been having a problem with transphobes/gender critters on twitter and I wanted to be able to just mass block them so I wouldn't have to see them anymore... And when I tried to use it, even if I let it sit, it wouldn't detect any accounts -- then it would log me out and after logging back in, I couldn't access twitter at all (everything said "there was a problem... " and wouldn't load) and continued until I cleared all my cookies related to twitter... really disappointing because it would have been a really useful extension to make my twitter experience safer...
Barely works. And if it does you have to re-authorize through two factor authorization.
It works but it always logs me out of my twitter account after using it, freaks me out.
This doesn't work, and it locks my browser and computer up to the point where I need to restart. This extension said that I had successfully blocked about 60,000 accounts, but when I ran an audit on my account, it has blocked fewer than 4,000.
as of 12/15/2020 has not worked
Doesn't work at all. the export and import bits don't do what they're supposed to and so-and-so I'm trying to chain block their followers of blocked me fix it :V
This app is garbage. I tried blocking an account and all of their 6k followers and I only blocked about 1-2k and I can't log into Twitter on chrome anymore because of this apps uselessness. If you don't want to use Twitter on chrome this is the app for you.
I lost my twitter account after using this.
I used this extension a lot before twitter's last big update months ago (the one that changed it's looks) and I never had a problem with it, but now with the new twitter it doesn't work at all, something about the interface doesn't let it run. Would it be possible to fix that? This extension was great and I'd love to be able to use it again.
Almost always run in to errors using this. Full list doesn't get blocked, it crashes my twitter and force logs me out, and then eventually I can't even open Twitter without an error and I have to uninstall the extension.
Almost as many errors as successful blocks, and it's unclear what the errors are.. 60% success rate is fine, I guess
twitter logged me out and will not let me log back in after using this feature. I was trying to block someone with 10k followers and all of their followers.
it worked. ONCE. and then it just stopped blocking people even when it looks like it's working. what in the world is this garbage?
no longer works consistently
One fine day I was blocked. So I decided to try this extension to see how it worked. It's basically taking the known dilemma 'if you have a bag of apples would you throw them all away after finding 1 or 2 with a worm/rotten?' The majority of such extensions throw away the whole bag. I'll now have to unblock all the people who were duped... but the question remains what if you have a large account? And extension removed.
