Amazing extension!

As soon as I added Intention to my browser, I immediately noticed a boost in productivity. I didn't truly realize how much time I spent on distracting sites until I implemented Intention. If you want to increase the amount of work done, and decrease wasted time, Intention is definitely what you are looking for. There aren't any paid limitations for this extension and it does exactly what it is intended for effectively.

I have ADHD, this has been *if nothing else* suuuuper helpful by reminding me of what I want to be working on. It also helps me reduce the doom scrolling. I have ideas for improvements/product features but nothing that keeps me from wanting to use this. Side note, I grabbed about 4 or 5 other 'mindful' options and this was my fave of them.

Most intuitive and simple to use website distraction blocker. No ads, no subscription.

I've used many tools to reduce distractions but nothing like this. This actually works.

This is honestly the perfect extension for helping control your time spent on time wasting website. Research shows that the best way to manage your time is to set your intention ahead of time when willpower is the strongest, which is what this allows you to do. I only wish it worked across all devices, but that's a lot to ask from a browser extension.

Hello Dev, This app is really great. I'm just missing one feature: whenever i open a perticular site I want an intension. that intention is to set that I want to set the amount of time I want to use that site. Example I open facebook a window pops up that lets me select how much i want to spend and what is the goal. May be the goal remains in the sidebar or something to remind me off. it's better than blocking entire site.

Great at keeping me focused, pop up is a reminder that I am getting distracted. Ideally I would add youtube as well, but then it flags if I wanted to listen to music or if I am looking up a youtube video to handle a work related programming issue.

I used it to control my youtube usage and to be more intentional with what I want to consume in a day. Love it so much

A well thought out and very useful extension. Would love if there was some optional feature that would make it more difficult and less mindless to unlock Youtube for a few minutes. i.e. some kind of randomized puzzle / math problem. Thanks for developing this for free.

Simple, user friendly, has essential features like scheduling. This is a diamond in the rough, and if you struggle with procrastination, it's a great way to exercise your way to a decent level of productivity.

As someone who spends a lot of time mindlessly scrowling, I've tried several extensions to help me focus and, by far, I really like intention compared to the other ones. I think it's pretty genious to have a streak counting the number days I've avoided distracting sites, that keeps me motivated to not enter those sites while also letting me unlock them for short periods of time. For example, I use this option to find a good study playlist on Youtube without getting distracted with Kurtis Conner's videos. And I also like the "productive session" feature so I can watch a video about the topic I'm studying about, knowing I have a limited time before the timer runs out keeps me from derailing to other videos. I like using Intention paired with the Hide Feed extention, they go really well together. My only comment for the creator will be to please make it a bit more complicated for us to unlock a distracting site, maybe have a message pop on our screens reminding us of our goals for the day and/or making us write a short parragraph before unlocking it.

This extension is really helping me understand my usage on the internet, and is helping me regain intention with technology use. I wish I could have the same functions on my phone and across my computer system.

I've tried (and... failed) to use a number of other site-blocking extensions. But Intention is working for me! It has just the right model of interaction. Wholeheartedly recommended.

I have used some other blockers in the past but I always stopped using them as they interfered too much with my work. the features in this extension are very well thought out. It has made a massive difference to my mindless browsing, I am finding a lot more focus time in the day now.

Amazing extension! I am shocked to realise how often I go to amazon, reddit etc during my day. Intention has helped me be more intentional (haha) about how and why I use these services. While I still use the sites, I am often taking a moment to think about why I need to access a distracting site and how long I will need to complete that specific activity.

After having multiple failed attempts at finding something that does site blocking smoothly, fiinally discovered Intention. It is a thoughtful piece of software with enough flexibility. Kudos to DK (the developer)!

Great extension. Can you please consider adding sub-domain check to the block list? For example, I'd like to block youtube.com but not music.youtube.com.

I really love this extension. This extension helped me to prevent myself from googling random stuff that popped up on my head and ended up browsing mindlessly for hours while doing more important stuff. It's incredible in so many ways I can't even describe it. Perfect. My number one productive app

I knew I was opening hackernews or reddit or facebook sometimes. I mean, I'm a conscious, thinking being, so of course I knew I was doing it. What I hadn't realized, though, was just quite how often I was mindlessly opening one of those websites only to while away tens of minutes without anything to show for it. This plugin is exceptional. It doesn't stop you from doing what you want to do, it just gently nudges you into noticing when you've started mindlessly browsing, and allows you to take a moment to exercise an important skill that thinking beings have: making a conscious decision.

Have messed with several versions of this kind of extension. This is by far the best.

Very useful and helpful for monitoring and blocking distracting website use. Helps me break up the 'mindless scroll' of distracting websites, and trains me to think 'Wait - do I really want to go down this rabbithole?' Highly recommend.

Having to actively think how long I "need" to access the website makes me a whole lot more intentional when accessing websites... in fact it is good to use it sometimes for websites that I 100% need just because it forces me to focus on the goal and how long it should take. Become more aware of how you use your time.

Really great extension. Well built and a delight to use.

I've enjoyed using a similar app, WaitBlock, but I like Intention more because I can set a time for when I want to be asked again. Plus, it's allows for URL customization, so you can allow some pages while blocking a site in general.

This tool is helping a bit .... but self-motivation is a key ...

Most blockers are too restrictive and when I end up needing a site like YouTube or Reddit for something productive, I disable the extension and end up mindlessly surfing which is what I'm trying to avoid! I love this extension because it allows me to access the sites, so I don't feel the urge to just disable it, but it also makes you set a timer for how long you are going to be on that site so you can regulate your time and not get sucked into the hole of the internet. For the past week where I've been using this extension, I have wasted little time (maybe only an hour total) and I've had much more time to focus on things that I actually like to do.

Wow, this is truly a superbly developed app. Starting from not asking for wholesale permissions, explaining what does and doesn't happen with them, to the breakdown of features shows clear intentional design. Hats off to DK!

This is a good extension for the purposes of keeping you more accountable for your browsing. Often I will open a "Distracting Site" and see the extension open, and it makes me think about if I should really be there. The timer system and cooldown period are also helpful in making "just one" a feasible strategy.

awesome extension to add intention and friction when you use modern day tools

Pretty much what I was looking for! Feature suggestion: Allow me to decide whether the session I'm going to unlock is going to be productive or not. (Have it default as unproductive, with a one-click option to mark it as productive) Sometimes I use Youtube for good reasons as well. I don't want that time to be counted as unproductive.

I've been using Intention for months now. I really appreciate that it keeps my procrastination in check. I only recently started making use of Focus Mode but it's brilliant; I can be sure that I can have a decent block of time where I won't be able to get distracted. The privacy features are really valuable too, not requesitng blanket access to all sites gives peace of mind. Only feature I could think of would be syncing settings across devices and I'd probably pay for that but I understand that's a pretty big ask.

I never knew how to practice thoughtful browsing. With Intention, now I do. Thank you, DK.

I've tried blocking time waster sites before, but it's never worked out long term, because it's such a hassle to unblock them when I actually want to use them. This extension is perfect for me -- I CAN use the sites as much as I want, but it effectively reminds that I'm not *supposed* to, and it allows me to set a time limit with one click. I love this extension. Been using it for a week and it's already saved me countless hours of pointless scrolling through reddit/youtube.

Simple design and highly recommended. Nowadays, I am getting a grasp of balancing my life. I used to spend endless hours on sites without realizing it, especially YouTube. This extension reminds you of what your real intention is when you go on distracting sites. It's great at doing that and it does not make you want to remove it. Try it out for yourself and make time for what truly matters.

Love it, I only wish the pre-existing list of distracting sites were a bit longer. There are a lot of distracting sites that I visit that aren't on the list and I end up forgetting to add them to the extension.
