Will not login from google mail. A redirect web page from gmail says the program is not approved for gmail login. Program will not run if not logged in. Useless.
Plugin for the console says "access blocked" but after deleting all chrome extensions except the contact monkey plugin its still not working. Support is non existant. There are some old cached pages to contact support but the scripts all generate errors. I suspect they ran out of venture capitol and the just quit.
Mail Merge button comes and goes. Support virtually nonexistent.

Had trouble keeping track of time sensitive emails and people just not reading emails sent to them. After using this I can direct them not only to the date but also the time and how many times they actually read it.
I had CM before they charged for it and was fairly happy. Then I received a free trial period and decided to use it again. This time, most of my emails weren't even being read according to CM. So, I began testing it on family and friends. It was only being recorded being read 1X and in states that the people didn't live. They were opened over 100 times each! I don't find it accurate at all.
I like it tells me about how many times my email has been opened, no. of times links has been clicked. This helps a lot in sales as I know which prospect seems interested.
I've used ContactMonkey with Outlook and the Google Gmail platform. Both work extremely well, and it's a tool that can be very helpful in building your business. Customer Service and Support is very responsive. It would be great if the following tweaks were made to the platform: - don't count the times that the sender of an email opens as it really skews the numbers - sometimes it looks as if an email has been opened 5 times where in reality it hasn't, this challenge is with all platforms - really wish I could have access to the platform with notifications on my mobile device Overall, a very valuable tool.

After trialing several tracking programs including Contact Monkey; Yesware and Bananatag I paid my subscription to Contact Monkey as I found it the easiest to install and the easiest to use. It gives me all the information I need in very quick time. I am not an "IT" expert, I am an Estate Planning Consultant and it is very beneficial to me to know that emails sent to my clients have been opened as that then allows me to follow up with a telephone call. Contack Monkey is a first class product with excellent pricing and I highly recommend it.

Contact Monkey was ok to use as long as you stayed on Chrome and do not use Apple mail at all. If you use both it can't distinguish between the intended recipient opening the email or a misplaced click by yourself in apple mail. This also means that when I would look into an email to perhaps review what I had sent it would count that as the recipient of the email opening it. The sidebar panel would also disappear at times and I could not trace why, this would stop the tracking of an email. Thirdly, no notification as to auto renew coming up for the next year, no solutions offered on the online chat, no way that i could find to turn off auto-renew and initially no response from support to my email questioning the Auto renew feature. However, I have been contacted after emailing the request for cancellation of my account and a pro rated refund is being offered after I write a review here. Hopefully my honesty does not affect my refund

CONTACT MONKEY has two very helpful tools. First, being able to gauge interest by monitoring the timeliness and number of email opens/link clicks. Second, the very easy to use Mail Merge feature for Gmail. I've been using it for several months now, and can't imagine not having it!

I started using Contact Monkey for the trial period, and found it quite helpful to a certain extent. Increasingly there have been some glitches in the program. However, I would have greatly appreciated a reminder from their team before they renewed the subscription for the second year automatically. Overall, I found the customer service satisfactory.
Though this service does work a little, the analytics aren't great and rarely work properly. Won't be renewing this service after the trial period.

I cancelled this service after experiencing the worst customer service I've ever encountered in my life. Support responses take days and always just direct you back to their site, the plugin glitches so frequently that it's necessary to log out of it, cancel permissions on it, delete it from the browser and reinstall it at least once per week, AFTER you discover important emails haven't been tracked. And the mail merge function only sends out about 80% of the emails inexplicably and offers no in depth explanation as to how it works. I would warn anyone off using this service.

I've used Contact Monkey for well over a year and love it. I can't understand some of the gripes and criticisms of the program. It just works and works great. Every program has occasional glitches but this one has less than most and in my experience they're remedied quickly. I highly recommend it.
Absolutely awful, they charged my credit card three times for a yearly subscription and when I reached out they just told me that I needed to call my bank and it was their fault. The man who called me after I emailed them was extremely rude and condescending as if I didn't know how to use a computer. I'm moving to a different email tracker system that can manage any kind of customer service at all.
I find it pretty amazing that when the service I have from this business is an email tracking service, thus they are well aware that I know that they opened both my initial request email and follow up email, they couldn't be bothered to respond to my recent emails. I mean, how hard would it have been to respond to the tune of any spin, be it either accommodating or otherwise, rather than sending a paying client who has sent themmultiple client referrals the clear message that you simply cannot be bothered to communicate with them? This is the latest in a string of customer service communications experiences that I have had with Contact Monkey that have been quite dreadful. In this immediate instance I have issued several questions regarding mail merge which have not been addressed and never once have I received a response from Contact Monkey staff in a timely fashion. I recognized that at some point they may have classified me as a difficult client, but that in no way justifies their deplorable lack of customer service when I am still a paying customer. Moreover, when they do respond to my questions, they are with rote, standard by the book responses and redirects to links on their site which I've already viewed because I did my research before reaching out to them. On top of all of this, the service glitches so frequently that I've had tracking fail on incredibly important business emails on multiple occasions and their standard response is 'just send it again'. After taking a few moments to review their ratings and reviews in the chrome webstore, I now realize that I'm not the only customer they deal with this way. Apparently, this is their standard of doing business. I'm no longer inclined to give tem mine. I'm largely unsatisfied with their service and even more unsatisfied with their level of customer service. I've asked them to cancel my service with Contact Monkey effective the end of this billing cycle and not charge me for the next billing cycle. I have found an alternative service that meets my needs through the chrome webstore in Sales Handy, and I believe will be much more reliable. Added bonus, they respond to questions in a timely fashion.
Very useful tool for email tracking even when not integrated with Salesforce. But if you integrate with Salesforce it makes your life so much better. Great tool for email tracking for individuals and teams.

This business just SCAMMED me. In spite of some technical difficulties, I was a reasonably happy paying customer. Now ContactMonkey auto-renewed my subscription without informing me about over 60% price hike ($165 for a tiny plugin?), and twice refused my refund claim 2 days post auto-renewal. If you subscribe, be prepared that you will not be able to cancel your subscription online, and next year they overcharge you without you ever being informed about this. Do yourself a huge favour and give your cash to any of their competitors.
I'm halfway through the trial period. It didn't work at first but I made some adjustments and got it working but now without me making any changes it has stopped working again and I'm looking at a blank sidebar and no track options in my e-mails. So in conclusion, when it works it's good but it's far too temperamental for me to want to spend money on it.

I have been using ContactMonkey for over a year now (I believe my subscription just renewed.) I don’t think I could live without it. It is nice to know if your recipient has opened your email. In fact, when we have an appointment with a customer, I know they’re definitely coming because I can see that they have again opened the email I’ve sent them with directions & a map.

Tracking is inconsistent. Even when reinstalling, the problem is not fixed. Customer Service is severely lacking and they refuse to help. They direct me to the the FAQ section which does not address my issue. Currently paying for a service that is not working, with a customer service department that refuses to help!!!

Very helpful application, well-crafted. Easy to use, attractive design. Support team responded almost immediately, and resolved my only problem, with only one conversation. As an individual (not business) user, the cost of Professional service is higher than I would pay for a non-essential service. CM should consider a lower-level service plan, Individual, at, say, $1/week for a limited number of emails tracked (20/month cap). It should be possible to choose CM tracking when emails are sent. My only disappointment in the service itself is simple: the count of views for an email I send is incremented when I open it myself later. It'd be nice if opens from same IP as the sender were not counted.

This is not so much a review of the service itself. ContactMonkey support is incredible. Very fast response time, easily less than 5 minutes from the time the message is sent. Friendly, helpful, and quick!

My biggest concern was false positives, when I opened my sent emails in my Gmail app (android). I sent a message to ContactMonkey support and they replied almost instantaneously giving me the hit to do that, in my android gmail app I had to choose "not to show images automatically". contactmonkey .... had one little minor hickup but support was extremely helpful! It use to give me more info as to the area in which it was opened, but as of late it does not it just says webmail firefox ....It would be great to have the town/country or state/country it is opened in showing like before!
This is such a great service and one of the best in the market. We all know it's a challenge to follow your emails as delivery is not always reported, however, ContactMonkey has designed way to best address majority of scenarios in an elegant way.
After using Contact Monkey for some time - Works very well with Gmail - but had trouble getting connected via Outlook 2013. Support was excellent and sooo Love CM now. Works very well.
I don't use the Gmail app but the Outlook 2016 add-in. I've used this add-in for years and really appreciate the good and fast support.

My whole team and I used Contact Monkey. There were a couple issues because Google Updates email so much but things were always fixed promptly. Usually just by restarting or clearing the cache. I got at least 2 sales out of it and over all made my day more productive.

Their system seems to be down more than it is up and running. In the beginning I was impressed , but it's been down hill ever since. I hope they get it together, because the concept is great...It just needs to work in reality.
Worked well when we needed it to track our mailing campaign. Was notified everytime I opened the mail too which was a bit off putting and didn't give me the true picture of how many times the mail was opened by the client. When I decided it was the time to end our subscription (we weren't having any more mailing campaigns) it was straightforward and without complications.
Haven't had any problems with the tool. The team is fun and communicative with their users -- always a plus!
They seem to have disappeared!!! Blank sidebar as of a few hours ago and their domain seems to be parked somewhere. Well at least they got my yearly fee...hope that and the fees of a few hundred thousand other subscribers keeps Scott Pielsticker in cold beer for the summer. I loved it for months but lately is has been providing tardy notifications and in many instances no notifications. I sent them multiple emails and they always said it was working fine. I guess it's time to go back to yesware. ContactMonkey...I wanted to stay Canadian but you give me no choice. See ya
Worked for my purposes up until a few days ago, now the sidebar has gone blank and the website for the company is no longer present. When it was working, it did not consistently show when emails were opened.
Contact Monkey is a poor product. Sporadically showed where my emails were opened. Now I have a blank sidebar and have not changed any of my settings. Very little help from helpdesk.
Perfect way of tracking mails and with a recent experience it helped me find the most disturbing information, thanks to ContactMonkey.
Can't remove it! It appears in the middle of my screen and I can't see my composed emails. Also, it shouldn't be that difficult to uninstall.
It is useful, but Contact Monkey Plugin will give you at least 3 pop up alerts per event. And it takes up a lot of real estate on screen.

The link tracking part is not so good. If we click the link from the mail that we sent to the recipient the number of clicks is being increased by one, which is faulty. Kindly look into that issue. Rest is good.
