Excellent. Makes Reddit Usable again...

Not a big fan of the direction Reddit is going in, used to be you could freely browse the website without being bugged to register, or suddenly having a pop-up blocking what you were reading, or hiding information because it was deemed "dangerous". This add-on is nice because it simply adds the "old." to the Reddit URL, allowing you to use Reddit like it was intended instead of the greedy, ridiculous website it has become.

Works.

Does exactly what it's supposed to and nothing more. Only realized I need to rate it when I tried viewing www.reddit.com instead of old.reddit.com and got redirected. The new site has been evicted from my mind for not paying rent, and this extension is my landlord's lawyer. 5/5, perfection.

Shiniman October 11th, 2022

It was great. But new reddit just works better on ultrawide because the zooming in isn't wonky. Been using it for years tho

Reddit, y u do dis? Old.reddit is so much better. This plug-in works flawlessly.

Works very well. I clear all my browser data on exit so this makes reddit tolerable to use logged out. Thank you.

Amazing extension, new reddit sucks so bad and old reddit will always be superior.

It makes reddit usable again.

go2hell746 August 10th, 2021
go2hell746

we should have an option for certain domains (i.reddit.com for example. its old mobile reddit, however it redirects to old desktop reddit)

Chase Hays July 27th, 2021
Chase Hays

Does what is says but there is no need for it as you simply have a "use old reddit button" in reddit settings

FRC July 16th, 2021
FRC

as a wise man once said, it just works

Adam Barnes June 14th, 2021
Adam Barnes

New reddit sucks. Old reddit sucks too, but at least that's just because of the content. Recently, new reddit has been seeping in with things like the report modal and the cookies popup. Old Reddit Redirect appears to have updated itself specifically to remove the cookie popup, meaning it goes from a 5/5 rating to a 10/5 rating hell yeah.

It now asks for extra permissions to read and change data on reddit which is too sketchy for me and will not be using this anymore. Good way on ruining your own addon

Jeff Iding June 13th, 2021
Jeff Iding

Used to be great but now suddenly requires additional permissions to read and change my data on old.reddit.com. Seems sketchy and I will not be using this extension any longer.

I can't figure out how to briefly pause the extension without completely removing it, sometimes I need to access new reddit to upload pictures properly. That's my only complaint.

You have to be mentally ill to prefer the redesign over this. Great quality of life addon, get it and never look back (or forward in this case lol)

It's honestly one of my favorite extensions. That's how much I despise the new reddit design. Brilliant

DicerX December 8th, 2020
DicerX

A literal godsend, I have been using this extension for two years and has yet to fail me. To this day I fail to understand why reddit doesn't allow for this option natively. Cheers

Chris Sivanich November 30th, 2020

Does what it says, better redirect mechanism than I've seen for other similar extensions. No more New Reddit; can't argue with that.

Great extension, but to echo the previous poster it no longer works with v.reddit.com. You can expand a the image of the thumbnail for the video and then play it but if you don't perfectly click on the controls then it just reloads the thread.

V August 1st, 2020
V

No longer works with v.reddit.com...any link to a video hosted on reddit itself just reloads the post without playing the video. Can this be fixed? Or maybe add an option to set exceptions for specific reddit subdomains.

Extension is amazing, I accidentally removed it and I hated life for an hour before I installed it again.

Liam Walsh July 17th, 2020
Liam Walsh

There is an issue with new reddit image hosting service. Reddit added the ability to host images directly on reddit rather than the usual imgur. This extension converts the www.reddit.com/gallery links to old.reddit.com/gallery links, which don't work at all.

Ed Hasaba June 25th, 2020
Ed Hasaba

I've never had an issue with the extension, but was wondering if a toggle was possible, between www.reddit and old.reddit? Annoyingly they both lack features the other has. Thanks Dev.

Imaginative gemini

It's JUST what I wanted! Thank you SOOOOO MUCH! I admire reddits new design–BU, its still very buggy and I'm unable to do hardly ANYTHING on it! This was wonderful! Thank you for providing this! I don't know why their new design won't let half of anything load properly.

Xen Enlighten January 24th, 2019
Xen Enlighten

Awesome. I hate reddit's new design and this saves me from having to manually edit the url each time. Thanks! (Also, for anyone who uses the old reddit due to the fact that you're having issues with LastPass not working on the new reddit UI; I can confirm that this does indeed fix it).

So far so good. Haven't experienced any issues with this extension. I wish I could say the same about the redesign but lets be honest, the new redesign sucks. Anyways, this is a must have for anyone who prefers the old design over the new.

Kostas Antonopoulos August 26th, 2018
Kostas Antonopoulos

Great. Only 1 minor issue (well more of an inconvenience) is that it collides with "HTTPS Everywhere" and i get this error: This extension failed to redirect a network request to https://old.reddit.com/r/greece because another extension (HTTPS Everywhere) redirected it to https://www.reddit.com/r/greece

Great app, I hate the new reddit, and this add on ensures I will never see it!

Dennis Wallace August 21st, 2018
Dennis Wallace

Thanks for making this. I absolutely hate the new Reddit. It takes up way to much space and you see less on the page. I was looking for a way to always show the old Reddit, and this fits the bill perfectly.

Atom C August 17th, 2018
Atom C

Hate how I can't - hide posts on new reddit. Change is for real life, not the internet.

Chris Fries July 26th, 2018

Goddamn redesign ruined everything, thank you for this. Thank you.

e July 1st, 2018

Works really well - apart from when you view a user who is using the new profile, if you try and sort the comments by anything other than the default "new", it says "hmm... u/ hasn't commented on anything". Also doesn't work with Ceddit or RemoveReddit
