This does not split a browser window, it just splits your computer screen, which can already be done natively. This is not helpful at all.
Other people have said the same. This extension categorically does NOT split anything. It simply opens ADDITIONAL windows. Misleading title and close to being pointless. Uninstalled.

Doesn't seem to do what it purports - no splitting of a tab, just pulls all my separate windows (each with numerous tabs) out of full screen mode on their various desktops, and spreads them out - some on top of others - onto my primary and secondary screen views. Not sure what it was trying to do, but "easily split ... tabs" wasn't it.

This extension just tries to resize the browser window, which can also be done without an extension. If you really want split view browsing, try out Vivaldi browser, it's the same as Chrome but with more features out of the box. It allows both horizontal and vertical tiling within the same browser window.

Doesn't even work on Mac. All it did was pull my windows from full screen to quarter screen. I was expecting it to split two tabs on one window. Nope.
Useless. Does not split tabs, but split windows of Chrome. You can do that by hand.
This is really amazing! It helps me with my school work and everything. Im glad this exists.
crashed about 2 minutes after installing. resizing windows is more reliable and if you're not worried about taking 3 extra seconds scaling windows to not have your browser crash i do not recommend installing this extension. windows also already has a split screen feature so this extension is already unnecessary.

Not enough options. There are currently 8 different options and the webpage shows a screenshot of the extension "Tab Resize", which is misleading. This extension will work great for you if you only need to split your screen(s) in half, and I like that the windows automatically fill my screen without having to manually resize them (like I have to with Tab Resize). But I would like the option to split my widescreen monitor into 3, 4, or even 5 windows. This extension has no customization options so for me it's not useful. If they add customization I would give it 5 stars.

Please change it back to the state it was before latest v3 update, or at least add that functionality back. Previously it was splitting window on a single display, that is what I expected. Now it is trying to rearrange all windows, which makes it a mess. At current state it is useless for me.
Excellent extension until latest update V 3. Now i have to manually move the active tab to the new window. Or I am missing something at settings ?
Literally, yes literally, useless. It does NOT open two pages in one window, it just OPENS ANOTHER WINDOW. And it RESIZES THEM INCORRECTLY. It makes a solved problem worse.
IT just gets too split browsers, you can do it already with just opening chrome twice...
I thought this would split a single chrome window, as sized, into two. This is just making two entirely chrome windows, that fill the screen. Something that can already be done with Windows 10 and most modern operating systems. Why would I install an extension to do what can already be done natively?

Having split the tabs into two windows, it would be great to have a button that joins them back up again when I've finished.
Google should buy out this app so that it comes standard w/ chrome, its so great, especially for people who do data entry on wide screens.
Doesn't support multiple monitors, doesn't split in tab.
Not what I expected. I wish to have different viewports inside one chrome instance, not create many chrome instances. I was hoping this would be a fix to that problem.
Not what I expected. I was hoping for the ability to show two panels in the same window. This is way slower than just using the built in functions on Windows, don't know about Mac though. However, it is well implemented, so koodos on that. Not sure I see the point for Windows 7+ users though.

This just places some chrome windows next to each other - I was looking for an actual split screen in one browser window. At least the current browser windows size could be split instead of capturing the entire screen.

Treat tool. Just what I had been looking for. VM window 2/3rds on the left and lab instructions on the 1/3rd right. Works nicely.

It is such lovely extension, Now I can see both my screen share and my school kids. Tysm guys or may be BEN LAU because they took his open source code, tho this work offline I would say the original one is better because if u don't have network u can't open chrome!

Love this extension
It only works for the main monitor, I am trying to do vertical split for a vertical secondary monitor.
Only opens the tabs on main screen, useless for secondary screen use.
