Tried it, didn't work. Still get redirects, specifically a link from Facebook I clicked on still showed the redirected path and did not skip to the destination. Then what's the point!?

I heard about the DirectLinks extension for Safari and started looking for a Chrome version. Found this app and it works great! As long as you don't need it for Google Images...

Be sure to use Chrome desktop User Agent, or it may not work. I use Opera v34 + User-Agent Switcher extension and everything's fine now.
worthless. right clicking on visit page then clicking on "open in new tab" still presents me with the redirect notice, which is what i'm trying to avoid! what a waste of time.
Works flawlessly. And (sigh) kudos to Google for not blocking an extension that modifies the behavior of one of their services. (Are we in a world now where we expect that by default?)
Performs exactly as stated; using it on the Chromium-derived Opera browser (developer 29) without issue.
This does exactly what it's supposed to. It could use a description other than "A plain text description", but it still gets 5 stars from me because it does what it's supposed to.

Works as intended. Ignore comments about it not working. That was due to a google update that broke this and all similar extensions. It has since been fixed, unlike the other alternatives out there still to be fixed.
