It works, you need to refresh the tab after you install it. Then turn on microphone permissions for the tab you are using it on.
Not work at all,but used to work before
Doesn't work
only does input, not output
I'm taking away one star because it doesn't support every website. Youtube works for example, but rpg.ambient-mixer.com does not.
My Goodness. Two Tabs. Two Outputs. I have needed this for so long.
Restarting Chrome if it doesn't work initially worked for me
This worked when AudioPik would not. Thank you for this! Server 2016 virtual Citrix desktop running in Workspace.
As of August 2022, the extension still functions. However, on Edge the extension does not function as it should. It does not remember the audio source output of the tab or website if the tab reloads. For example, on Disney+ if the website switches episodes the tab reloads or loads the next page and when this occurs you again have to go to the extension options and reselect the audio source output by first selecting a different output and then selecting the one you originally wanted. Tested this on Chrome and also occurs on Chrome. And yes, I did allow all site access and enabled microphone permissions. Please fix this issue as this is the only thing wrong with the extension, otherwise great work!.
For anyone saying it doesnt work, try restarting your computer. I did and now I can output the audio of my game to one BT headset and any chrome tab to my speakers or another BT headset.
With this extension, I am able to use a virtual audio driver and monitor the source at the same time without having to change any settings on my Mac's sound settings in system preferences. This is ideal if you're a music producer who frequently uses the internet to sample sound sources. Here is how I use it. I activate AudioXout and send it to a virtual audio driver called "Soundflower" and the soundflower audio is then sent to OBS Studio as an audio input capture. Next, I use a VST filter in OBS called "Blue Cat's Connector" to send the audio to my music software, Maschine 2. In Maschine 2, I activate another instance of Blue Cat's connector to receive the incoming audio from OBS. From here, I can sample any sound source to my music software.
Worked for me! June 2022 Chrome Version 102.0.5005.62
Just here to comment that it still works, sometimes it takes a few seconds before the tab registers the change in sound output before it changes so give it some time. I also restarted my device like another review suggested (though I'm not sure if that was the cause/help) and have also allowed microphone access to the website - which I believe is necessary. Thanks for fixing it, this helps a lot
I installed this extension last night and was disappointed because it didn't work! I even reloaded Chrome, but nothing happened However, the next day after a full shutdown overnight and restart today it works! I absolutely love it! It works great on my Mac. I'm saying this for the people who might give up too quickly like I almost did! A much needed extension when you need to route audio in Chrome.
This is the PERFECT extension for my needs! My son likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on one of my secondary monitors while I work. Most days, I like to watch a YouTubes video while I work so if I'm needing to watch him while I work, I can without having to forgo watching MY YouTube videos. This extension allows you to have different audio sources for different tabs, including when both tabs are YouTube. Highly recommend this extension!
Does not seem to work, output does not change.
Works on twitch.tv and soundcloud, thats great. Doesn't work with youtube. not great.
best extension ever.around all the extension. thanks for make it .
Tried Audiopick at first, didn't know it's broken so I tried this. Yep! It worked for me!
Doesn't function as of Jan, 2022
Works great! Finally a fix!
Works flawlessly, this is going to make presenting certain media on streams very easy! Remember that sometimes, you may need to manually allow sites microphone access.
Didn't work for me at all on macOs Monterey while using Opera browser. Extension showed every possible output, but didn't do anything while changing them.
Doesn't work. Not sure if there's something I'm missing, but I tried it with YouTube and Twitch and it didn't work.
It's pretty good sad it didn't work for web captioner tho
Worked once, never worked again. Troubleshooted and it just doesn't do anything.
Doesn't work
Does nothing. i allow all acces and it still does nothing
finally found a working one, thanks for it <3
Thanks friend. So glad this one worked. Audiopick doesn't work for me.
This extension does exactly what I need it to do with no issues, I like for a specific tab to play audio from my speakers device and the rest to play from my other device (headphones). This extension makes that possible. Other extensions could not do it so 5 stars for this puppy!
the idea is amazing , but it doesn't work on windows 10
output not changed
It's a great replacement for AudioPick extension that has been dead for several years. Now I don't have to select an audio device every time I open a site, as it remembers the selected output audio device. Just make sure you have configured the site to allow microphone access first (cited from: https://github.com/rain-fighters/AudioPick/issues/36#issuecomment-632015099) 1. go to youtube.com 2. click the ? icon in the address bar 3. microphone : "allow" ... if it's not there, click "site settings" and find it
doesn't work at all
Not being the average computer person, i tried everything "technical"....and it just didn't work. This seems like a knock-off of the other extension and that one sucks just as badly. After rebooting the computer, cleaning out the cache, and several other things, i just realized this extension may work for "some" people under certain conditions....but obviously mine don't fit it's needs. This thing needs a TON of work.
This doesn't seem to be working on the Brave browser sadly, I'm not sure about Chrome yet. I tested on YouTube and Twitch.
Tried AudioPick, wouldn't work for any websites at all. I was looking for something to help me route audio from SoundCloud and Spotify web players to a specific VoiceMeeter audio device I use for background music only. This did not work for SoundCloud or Spotify either, however, it did work for other websites I tested it on (YouTube, Twitch, etc.) I believe it has something to do with the embedded web players in the Spotify and SoundCloud browser sites.
Seems OK but does not appear to work with the Plex web player, which is what I needed it for. Bummer. e.g. https://app.plex.tv/desktop
It also works with MacOS. Note though that no "Allow microphone" pop up appeared, but when I manually gave access to the specific site to use the microphone (though Chrome's "site settings" page), it worked flawlessly.
Another Audiopick user, this one works with the current version of chome.
Like the other reviewer I used Audiopick constantly. It stopped working. This works. I think that's about all there is to say.
Audiopick was essential in my day to day use. AudioXout has patched the hole left when Audiopick stopped working.
