It really deserve a five star. So useful. But can you make short cut for clip page option in extension. Most of us use this extension many times daily. Rather than clicking on extension and then clicking on clip page, a short cut would be a way to the 5 star.

I just needed to download it for around a minute to take a screen shot of a page that was pretty long. But I tried like 5 other extensions like this one and they were so complicated, they were about impossible to figure out. So this one was the best by far I just opened the extension through my browser clicked on the capture button and clicked on the arrow to save it. That simple thank you so much I am sure I will be needing it again and so now I know which one to add.

Well, different strokes for different folks, it works like a bomb with my Windows 10; no issues whatsoever...love it!

CAUTION: DIRTY TRICKS! Self installs and then over works your device.

It only took a screenshot, did not do anything else it claimed it could do. The Support link I went to to get help was absolutely useless. I'm annoyed at the time I wasted.

Not working

Caused my CPU usage to sky-rocket... I have an i7-3770, and I couldn't figure out why Google Chrome was using 80% of my CPU utilization. Started to disable extensions and I soon as I disabled this one... Bingo. CPU utilization dropped back down to <1%. Something fishy going on with this extension.

We'll see where I went wrong because it appears - by the ratings and reviews - this extension is something worth being patient for to see why it is NOT working at the moment...

Has a BTC miner included which will throttle your CPU. That's a shame developers has to use such dirty monetization techniques.

i don't use it and it keeps opening on my computer. next step is to find and delete.

Easy to use and good quality.

The ability to save what you capture in pdf and .png formats is fantastic. So helpful for research.

There is something rotten going on behind the scenes of this app. When its installed the plug in starts using 100% of one of your CPU cores. This leads to the CPU fan running constantly and who knows what its doing. At best its VERY poor programming, at worst it is malware that is stealing your information or performing unauthorized actions on your PC to profit the developer. STAY AWAY!

I didn't install this extension, but every time I start Chrome I get a new tab opening that says it was successfully installed. Don't know wat it does and don't care.

Used to work great. Now every time I open it, it says "Fatal Error" until I uninstall/reinstall the extension. That's a little too much work for an extension that is already being deprecated in features by the dev. Uninstalling for keeps this time.

I REALLY loved the older version of this Screenshot app!!! The additional, now missing, editing abilities--- are SORELY, by me at any rate, missed! ! am sorry if I seem ungrateful, as this is a good solid app... but man--- I would LOVE to have those additional editing features, that it had previously--- back again! Really, even just the ability to add text, for example, would be very "welcome home- ed". Is there any way that you could do this--- without, of course, being too much of a $ disadvantage to you ??? I would pay a, reasonable, one-time fee, if that'd do the trick. please feel free to let me know / contact me, russg13@aol... cheers, in advance, if there is a possibility to "fix" Sreenshot.. and return it to its former glory-- ha! ;)

Really nice screenshot extension. And really annoying popup. Guys you will get more feedback this way, but it will destroy the rating.

It was a 5 star app, until the recent August update that removed the capability to draw/write on the screenshot. The editing portion of the app has been completely removed. I have never in my life heard of an update to an app that removes fully functional, useful capabilities. Updates are supposed to enhance a product, not dwindle it. The Overview portion says "Annotate and edit your screenshot: Annotate any image with rectangles, circles, arrows, lines and text Crop, scroll & show crop area dimensions Blur certain sections to hide sensitive information." This is no longer true.

I don't like apps installing themselves on my laptop. I can do a fine job of screwing it up myself.

I have edited my review many times singing high praise and voicing for minor tweaks... Now, after disappearing for almost a month it comes back redesigned with 90% loss in functionality!! No more hotkeys, no more scroll capture, no more copypasta, + more.... just horrible sacrificial revamp for appearance. (use ABP so I never noticed the ads issue that other have)

This was the best screenshot capture extension I have seen so far... until it became to open SCAM websites in the browser tab. Very often.

Finally find the extension pop ads. It bothers me several day and now I find the murderer. Remove it.

Capture a selection gets bugged all the time on Chrome. Clicking "Capture" or "Cancel" wont do anything

This extension was great until it bundled adverts. AND NOT IT OPEN POPUPS FOR NSFW WEBSITES Reporting and deleting.

I've been through all my extensions. This was the last one I checked. One of my favourite extensions is gone bad - pop-up adverts to singles sex sites! Reporting and removing now.

This extension has started creating popup ads and redirecting tabs to spam sites in the last couple of days. I wouldn't use it.

Another disappointing capturing tool. Not all the functions work.

Been using the desktop client version for years. Love it. The browser extensions seems to have a lot more features.

CApture entire page never works. Unable to save images. Literally have to right-click and open image in new window every time to save the images.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for creating such a clean and amazing product. I am willing to pay you or donate $5 just to show appreciation. I like the icon, I like the menu, I like the options, I like the keyboard shortcut, I like the clean editor interface, I like the option to save to Google drive. Not frequently do I see clean work. But when I do, I have to congratulate people. This is exactly what I was looking for. The rest of the options have ads, crappy colors, bad iconography, and tacky options. Clean workflow. Easy to use. Thanks!

Started adding a shopping/coupon widget.

It was one of the best extensions I had until they dropped in the deals/shopping advertisements. I don't mind an ad here or there but the way it is being executed is too aggressive and feels spammy.

It was good until ADS started popping up in the corner of my screen. You just lost me as a user.

I truly LOVED this extension. Then I started noticing a little 'widget' that would appear when I was shopping on various sites--it would tell me it would find deals on other sites. Kept wondering where this came from...This extension. So long, bye, bye, never again.

It works great. A great tool to have for web research.

It is either not intuitively designed or just doesn't work well. I tried to crop a part of the page and both times a blank picture was created; one all black and one all white. I will go back to using the clipper tool that works every time. Holy crap. Make something that actually works, will you?

Ctrl+Shift+V is already a shortcut in Chrome for "Paste as plaintext." Please do not have your defaults override default functionality of Chrome. I can only give you 5 stars once this is fixed. I know I can change the shortcut, but the defaults should never override existing hotkeys.

Works basically well except will not work when using capture selected area

This is a great extension, far and away better than any other screenshot plugin out there ... but only when it works! Lately I'm no longer able to capture any kind of screenshot, so the extension is effectively useless until they fix it.

Does not work when capturing a selected area which was the only reason I added to chrome :(

Just downloaded it. Tried to capture selected area. It lets me select but when I click the capture button nothing happens. If it won't work the first time, it's not worth my time to mess with it to see what it will and won't do.

Remove Awesome Screenshot since this can automate the uploading process. Other functions are the same.

Really Good Photos. It does what I ask so yes very happy with Smartshot.

I was looking for something like this.

I need screen shots 20+ times every day. I'd much rather use windows Snip tool. Things I'm looking for in a chrome screen capture extension: is it quicker than what is available already? is it easier? does it use less memory? is it easier to send? So far this extension is none of those.

This is awesome! I have been using 2 extensions to do what this one has just replaced. Nice to be able to upload to imgur directly.

Won't capture 95% of the time when I use "capture selected area", even when I make sure the zoom is at 100%. Gonna hafta kick it to the curb and stay with "Explain and Send Screenshots" which I was looking to replace because that app leaves the 2 lines of white lettering at the top & bottom (header and footer watermarks) of your picture. (course you can get rid of them IF you PAY to).
