Great.
IP Address is not leaked while using this. This actually works for me, unlike "WebRTC Network Limiter". I'd suggest testing whether it works for you or not, using https://browserleaks.com/webrtc.
It seems to be a trustworthy app that functions in the way it should.
hi how i fix my ip leak problem? please help mee
In ChromeOS (Version 98.0.4758.107) upon install, the option to click to explain the choices leads to a 'crashed tab' graphic, and the options are not explained either here or on the GitHub main page. Please fix, if possible. But until then, which option is the most private?
Fixed my discord RTC issue
Doesn't seem to work. This site "diafygi.github.io/webrtc-ips", which is mentioned in the description doesn't work either so I've tried another one "browserleaks.com/webrtc" and it does show my real ip when I'm using proxy.
Pass all the tests so i think it works great.
Getting one star, because this really spikes CPU usage. Tested multiple times. When idle, CPU sitting at 40-60% After removal CPU @ 1-11% Tested multiple times
The WebRTC Network Limiter provided by webrtc.org has been practically stopped working on chromium browsers for a while now. Then I found this one and it works well. You can check yourselves if any leaks are happening on https://ip.voidsec.com/ or https://browserleaks.com/webrtc FYI, some sites with geo blocking practice, like netflix, can take advantage of webrtc leaking to detect your real ip address. So it may be a good idea to prevent webrtc leaking when you are on some proxy or vpn service.
The WebRTC tests listed in https://webbrowsertools.com/test-webrtc-leak/ successed to fetch my WebRTC IP-Address
tested on https://webbrowsertools.com/test-webrtc-leak/ and shows webrtc is leaked. the app has not been updated since 2018 so not surprising. removed, search webrtc defender in the app store.
Confusing at best. There should be "on protection" and "off protection" plus other options but these two are a must. There's other simpler and effective extensions out there. Besides, Many ab-blockers now already include Webrtc protection. REMOVED.
Works well.
Nice exc...
best choose for chrome
muy bien
Prevent webRTC leak.!
5-star for this WEBrtc leak prevent.
thank you. This does help to solve ip leak problem for me.
excellent. thank you
It works, thanks!
Works great! Thank you, very much.
It works perfectly for me. Thanks
nice
no working
Works well.
Works well with PIA on Win10. Thank you Dev.
This worked really well form me. I use chrome w/ VPN, tested with https://ipleak.net/, WebRTC leak immediately stopped. I really liked the fact it is light weight, and not intrusive. I also tested Scriptsafe, which seems to be a more complex tool doing many things, but to me it is too heavy and it blocked too many sites (I had to click one by one to unblock them). My only goal is to prevent WebRTC leak in Chrome, so WLP is perfect for me. Had to say that I am very surprised Google Chrome team hasn't fixed this issue yet, it has been known for several years.
this is very helpful for me. it works quite well. thanks a lot...
Have tried all 3 profiles, doesn't seem to work for me at all unfortunately - At least according to browserleaks.com/webrtc and test.webrtc.org. FB video/voice call works as well (which should not work if I am mistaken when disabling WebRTC?) Using latest version of Chrome (auto update), Windows 10 and a VPN. Will change my review if I can get this thing to work!
Works great on my chromebook with PIA. However, when the extension is activated at the same time as my VPN with the default configuration it blocks android apps from accessing the internet unless you activate "Use the default public interface and private interface" option. I hope this helps. Edit: Android apps are able to access the internet, but I am still leaking WebRTC with "Use the default public interface and private interface" activated. The other 2 options block Android apps from accessing the internet completely. Dev please look into this.
Worked as promised.
I've used it for about a year. It's always worked for me. I've checked it at the usual sites. It works as it should.
Exellent. Was showing WebRTC leak on DoILeak.com with PIA VPN active. Installed this extension and reran tests on DoILeak.com with PIA VPN active and the WebRTC leak was gone. Nice work developer!
It works great!
so good
Doesn't work At All. Tried with Both Nord and PIA
WoW , it works thanks a lot Who say not work see after and before on : https://diafygi.github.io/webrtc-ips/
all welldone
Lack of options. Didn't even work when tested WebRTC was still leaking my real IP with my VPN turned on. And even more dangerous my Geo-location.
It works. Used in conjunction with Touch VPN. Both are Free Chrome extension. Go to Options > IP Handling Policy : Choose one from the drop down. For Help, read the "What do these options mean?" Once you are done, check using https://ipleak.net/ your IP address & Web RTC Detection for any leakage. Hope this helps.
Seems to work easily.
well, it certainly work after testing on doileak
It works 100%! if you are on Chrome 48+ uncheck all legacy options and choose "Disable Non-proxied UDP (force proxy" in IP handling policy. This way it won't show any leaked IP's of any kind. You can test on https://diafygi.github.io/webrtc-ips/ and on https://www.doileak.com/ I am using Chrome 51.0.2704.84 m (64-bit)For those that this extention does not work, try to apply the settings described above. If it still does not work, check that you are using at least Chrome version 48. If it still doesn't work, probably you don't know what it is and you should not use it. Remember that if you are using any websites that implement Web Real Time Communication, the performance of those apps and websites may degrade if this extension is used.
Works as advertised. Thank you!
I love this extension since it disables WebRTC without disbabling javascript. It works the best with Hotspot Shield Elite, and Cyberghost.
Doesn't work. Here is the WebRTC leak test suggested by Lifehacker: https://diafygi.github.io/webrtc-ips/
Excellent! I now have the same type gadget as my Firefox. Yes I do have a good VPN & yes this plugin worked instantly no tweaking. It works.
Both http://www.whour.net/ and https://ipleak.net/ were able to detect my WebRTC
Doesn't prevent webrtc - checked through browserleaks.com and leaked the IP behind proxy try "webrtc network limiter" - that one works
I had to fiddle with the options, but it does appear to be working with Zenmate VPN's standalone Windows client. Thank you to the author!
good
works for Chrome on Windows
This is the first WebRTC extension that works for me, thanks.
work perfectly!!!! nothing leaking, you must use good VPN provider.
Oscar C. It still leaks Your public IP addresses
My ip was exposed to Netflix
Works for me so far! thanks and keep up the good work.
After installing Google isn't reporting the ISP IP, but the VPN one. Unfortunately the ip is still being leaked when testing it by going here: https://diafygi.github.io/webrtc-ips/ So not sure if this extension helps o_O
stopped working
Looks right so far.
Tested Chrome with this extension against Firefox with Disable WebRTC extension and got the following results: http://ipv6leak.com/ = same results (leak) http://dnsleak.com/ = same results (single leak - my VPN) https://www.browserleaks.com/webrtc = chrome leaks (audio?), firefox doesn't https://diafygi.github.io/webrtc-ips/ = firefox nothing, chrome show public IP https://torguard.net/vpn-dns-leak-test.php = same results Seems Firefox is more secure... Default settings on this extension tested with Chrome 47.0.2526.111
does what it says on the tin. testing with https://diafygi.github.io/webrtc-ips/
it will be better.
Just started using this. Working perfectly using ipleak.net to check for any leaks. No web rtc leaks as of when I post this. Thanks! Please keep it updated. :D
Thanks for the extension. I've tested it on multiple websites and it said my vpn ip address.
Appears to be working on chromebook with PIA VPN.
Stopped working. Used it for months and now for some reason it leaks my real address. I use PIA vpn
https://ipleak.net/ Leaks easily.
Not working, Still leaking my IP address. Using latest chrome browser. Im using VPN from IPVanish. Need a WebRTC blocker to hide that im in holland please. Thanks
Works perfectly on Chrome v.47 (Stable) , Thanks a lot.
Fails to block WebRTC based identification of real IP address.
Those folks who gave to it low rating are assholes. It does what it supposed to.
"This will protect against WebRTC OpenVPN leaks - while leaving WebRTC enabled." How about you just disable this useless WebRTC crap?
Perfect those who say its not working in incognito mode ..check allow in to incognito
Doesnt work in Incognito mode. Still leaks IP addresses.
I have to keep removing it and reinstalling it for it to work for any length of time.
Works great
doesn't masking my public IP address
Works with both Chrome and Chromium Thank you very much
I love it
Still showing Public IP. Tested at https://diafygi.github.io/webrtc-ips/ Only hides local IP not public. I use the latest Chrome.
This add-on helps remove a VPN flaw that shows your IP address. Isn't that the whole point of a VPN?? This add-on was created to fix a vulnerability before anyone else did so Kudos to them for getting out there in front for security. Chrome is normally an awesome browser and has a lot fewer issues than many other browser but still has WAY too many entries in the start manager with no details so you cannot trim it down easily as a memory hog or clear it's cache, but fixing security flaws like this are paramount.
It works with windows 10 using PIA as my VPN. Thanks.
Exactly the behavior that Chrome and WebRTC should have from the beginning. Well done and THANK YOU!
Works great as advertised...however (as might be expected) it seems to interfere with using phone call features from within Gmail/Hangouts. Have confirmed that temporarily disabling this extension, reloading Gmail page is enough to permit placing/receiving calls again. Seems to toggle well if this feature set is necessary.
Excellent, works great!
It works great with Google Chrome, but does not work with chrome based browsers like Aviator.
Works perfect and masks your private IP address which is what I want. However, it does not mask your public IP address if that's what you are looking for.
Until Google fixes this issue with Chrome, this extension seems to do the trick when on a VPN, many thanks!
Seems to work.
This works great, thanks!
