not working anymore
It's good, but it seems that its functionality degrades after 24 hours or so. That is, it enthusiastically populates Win10's Timeline (Task View) when you start [Chromium] Edge anew, but stops the next day - no new entries. Restart Edge and ... bam! A huge backlog of entries is written to the Timeline, playing catch-up. I'd like to see greater stability. It's obviously not an issue for folks who regularly shutdown Edge/reboot every day, but I keep my Win10 up 24/7.
Using it on Microsoft Edge till the time History sync is enabled natively in the browser. The extension is great!
It's impossible to use it on macOS. The login window always abruptly closes and everything halts there.
like it alot
It works and all but why does it need to write useless messages to the console? as a developer, this is super annoying since I have to see these messages all the time.
Works flawlessly. Only gripe is that when logging-in it opens a pseudo-browser window. Why not just use a tab?—it would be much easier.
Doesn't appear to be working in Chrome 80.
The login is extremely unreliable. On my Windows PC it works, but sometimes has to be re-logged in several times. On Mac it doesn't complete the login. I get the pop-up, fill in login/pass info, then it disappears with no result.
Funciona realmente bien aunque no es muy usable y puede confundir. Leyendo algun comentario, funciona bien en Vivaldi.
Doesn't work on Microsoft Edge Dev channel (Chromium-based). No activity - no longer how long I stay on a page - is recorded to my Microsoft graph. Only pages I visit with Edge on my Android phone show up.
It wasn't working for me (Edge Chromium) but I just realized that I needed to manually log in. Whoops. Seems good now.
Just works. I think I am not the only user who likes Windows, Microsoft Launcher and Google Chrome. It's a relief you can enjoy a real cross-platform experience.
Works on pretty much any chromium browser. But for some reason not on Opera and Yandex.
It doesn't work on Windows 10 1903 Version 75.0.3770.142 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Doesn't work on macOS, the sign in process never completes and causes a blank app called "Identity API Scope Approval UI" to appear on the Dock
It works well. Timeline is a great feature for Windows 10 and adding Chome to it helps immensely.
it's good but cannot work on mac?
Seems to work fine, but please remove the console.log messages from content.js. PLEASE!
Mac 版 chrome(版本 74.0.3729.131)无法使用,第一次明明成功登陆了微软账户,还是提示「Sign in」,然后再点击就闪退。
doesn't work on MacOS Chrome. Pops up, I signing, get my 2FA codes completed, popup goes away but still wants me to signin. Then just loops fast. I"m sure clearning cookies, whatever probably would work but if you can't build web site or add-in that can handle that already and be resilient - you should go back to javascript schoo.
Works fine now, basic but does exactly what you'd expect it to do.
No record shows on PC timeline. but everything is there on Microsoft launcher timeline on my Android phone.
Not working. Can't find searches on timeline.
REMOVE CONSOLE.LOG!!!
Does what is pretty much supposed to do. But Chrome is suddenly freezing a lot since I installed the extension. Not completely sure whether the fault of the extension, but the problem did start occurring after installing the extension. Will use chrome with the extension disabled for the next couple of days to pin down the cause of the issue.
Can't log in. I'm using chromium on Zorin OS (ubuntu based)
Across all of my devices when I try to log in, I get through username/password, 2FA, and when it asks if I want to grant perms I say yes, and then...it stays logged out. No error message, nothing. Just doesn't work.
Web Activities extension for Firefox please!
Just one issue. My chrome is synced across devices and i have a windows 7 machine from office. the extension keeps crashing on win 7. just make changes so that it ends or unloads gracefully without giving error every 5 minutes
look i'm sorry,l it just does not keep my chrome history on the timeline anymore and i'm plain stumped i need this feature to work as i rely on it
Plain out does not work. Asks you to sign it, you sign in, nothing happens. It asks you to sign in again. Rinse, repeat.
It works but it consumes too much memory, up to 1 GB for about 60 opened tabs!! WHY?
it keeeeeps telling me to sign in again and again!!!
In my opinion this extensions makes the timeline feature of windows 10 really useful :)
It does not sign in on Chrome on my Mac. Only on Chrome on my Windows computer.
Doesn't do anything
This extension was hard to find. "Web Activities" doesn't feel right. Maybe rename it to something along the lines of Windows 10 Web Activities/Activity, or something to do with Timeline.
Really helpful!
This is a great extension, but I can't figure out how it works
Cannot sign in. Signing in, allowing access, no reaction
I don't see why I have to log in to my microsoft account to use this. I'm not really comfortable entering my password into it.
MAJOR flaws in this first implementation, which I hope are corrected asap. Biggest problem: Any Word Document saved on OneDrive is now directed to open in Word Online in Chrome when opened from Timeline. This renders the extension useless for me. The third party timeline tool is more useful as it correctly opens local Word documents in Word.
Suggestions Setup should have an animated simple step by step intro for (newbies) Make compatible with both the latest stable Google Chrome & the latest Windows 10 ver. for compatibility Make sure the extension supports upscale (1080 / 4k) for larger Desktop Displays
Already logged in, but nothing related to chrome appears on timeline...
Its finally on chrome.. we have waited a long time for this now its time for firefox too
This brings the Timeline to great new use for many users who use Chrome as their default browser! I only wish it supports Firefox now and adds a more useful way of finding things on the Timeline in Windows.
We want it on Firefox
Good so far, but a couple improvements to bring it up to 5 stars. 1) Link to help document 2) The name is horrible. No one would think to look for a "web activities" extension.
This is awesome! Now microsoft can monitor my web activities on Chrome now too instead of just Google! 5 stars!.... lol Seriously though, is this for Windows+Tab? I've never used Edge so I'm not exactly sure what I'm missing, but I do see a timeline feature when I Ctrl+Windows+Left/Right between desktops at work. This adds browser history to that and makes it searchable?
Issue about using company organizational accounts and Intune, can not login, since login windows did not pull / use "Windows 10 accounts" chrome plugin, lol, MIcrosoft is not compatible with itself :P Please modify this plugin and its "login" window to use also chrome plugins, so organizations who use MDM / Intune can login :)
Perfect this is what I was waiting for. I am a big fan and user of the Time-line feature I also use it on my Microsoft launcher (Android). Keep innovating.
It was okay, BUT DISABLE console.log MESSAGES, IT MAKES MY CONSOLE OUTPUT A MESS
Working great for me, awesome to see Microsoft supporting third party software in addition to their own built in browser.
Keeps asking to login when I click on extension, just has Sign In. I have done that and says you have previously logged in, use that account? but never really logs in.
Can not work,it ask me to login again and again.
This is great. Microsoft, I'm glad you guys manned up and at least made peace with chromium. Will continue using both Windows AND Chrome OS for all my daily tasks. :)
Great tool, does what it says on the box!
I am unable to figure out on how to use it and there is not intro tutorial when I install the extension. I signed in and now it just give option for default browser and Microsoft Edge.
