USED to be excellent little app for citing your genealogical finds. I wouldn't even try any more. DOES NOT WORK! I mean at all, & been this way for more than a year. I keep checking back, & every time it's worse. To be clear, it has not worked at all for a long time, but here it still is. Now it does not even try to start. I don't know why they don't remove it if they're not going to fix it. Then we at least know for sure. I suspect they, much like others have perfected the app here for free, then sold it, which is why it doesn''t work and hasn't worked for quite some time. I'm done waiting. My advice, don't bother.

I've had Record Seek for over a year now. I've NEVER been able to use it with Ancestry.com. It just spins and never loads the log in. It works fine with Family Search. 3 stars because it only does half of what it's supposed to.

This tool WAS great, and I'll update this review if and when they resolve the issue. But like several other reviewers, it stopped working because RecordSeek has let their certificate lapse and hasn't renewed it. Because of that, Chrome blocks access to recordseek.com too, so there's no way to contact them other than through reviews. And even before this error started recording, it wouldn't add sources to Ancestry, just to FamilySearch. The detail of the error message I'm seeing is: NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID Subject: recordseek.com Issuer: R3 Expires on: Jul 6, 2021 Current date: Jul 19, 2021 <snip code block for PEM encoded chain/> Certificate Transparency: SCT DigiCert Yeti2021 Log (Embedded in certificate, Verified) SCT Google 'Xenon2021' log (Embedded in certificate, Verified)

I love this site (tool) and I use it daily, but in the last couple of days I get this message. I would send this to the developer, but I can't find any other place to put this information Your connection is not private Attackers might be trying to steal your information from recordseek.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID recordseek.com normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to recordseek.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be recordseek.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged. You cannot visit recordseek.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

Unfortunately it has stopped working - indication is of a "Privacy Error" and the following: NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID Subject: recordseek.com Issuer: Let's Encrypt Authority X3 Expires on: Dec 26, 2020 Current date: Jan 4, 2021 Please help.

I love your tool. But right now (Dec. 29, 2020) Google Chrome says your security certificate expired 4 days ago. It won't let me use your tool. I tried using Edge with the same result. What's up?

Used Recordseek extension for genealogy records attachment. Worked great for three months. Now (Chrome version) stopped working. Uninstalled, reinstalled, etc. Nothing works. Unsuccessful with Recordseek Tech Support. Now what???

I was attaching a California Marriage record from ancestry.com to familysearch.org and the attachment said the record was an England Marriage record. I had to edit it to make it correct. I do like the Edit feature in RecordSeek because I was able to correct the error.

Like and use the site a lot. It has quit working, and recordseek.com is not responding. Anyone know what is going on with this app?
