At least I couldn't use it. I was trying to set up thunderbird on a chromeos machine and was a little confused why this was an extension to chrome, but installed it anyway. But as an extension I couldn't see how it did anything at all. Read the reviews and everyone seems to hate it, so maybe I got off easy. This seems useless, I guess I'll just use webmail.

Nothing like expected. Bought a Chromebook to replace a PC, and Thunderbird is fave client. Figured I could set it up and continue using. 1) Its actually contacting a CentOS server and having you set up the account, EVERY TIME 2) Screen is so crowded because of advertising and compensation for the fact you're using a remote server 3) Tried to set up GMAIL account using OAUTH2, didn't work 4) Lack of security information is suspect Don't take a chance, change password and delete permission for this app ASAP!

See my notes in one of the replies above. This is absolutely a come-on.

Don't know what it is, but it's not Thunderbird

was excited to try this, but found the severely limited space allocated to meaningful display counter productive. The image was grainy and hard to read, and so little usable space left the whole experience lacking. need to do away with the side-bars, and top banner to allocate enough space, for the apps to work in a way which is worthwhile. Shame, really wanted this to work.

Screen is too small and it has adds wrapped around it.

This is a scam and should be removed from the Chrome Web Store. I don't know quite how it works because I did not want to risk actually setting up an account in Tbird to try it, but it basically wraps what looks like a virtual environment in two big ads as well as a pop-up for something called OffiDocs. I'm surprised that Mozilla or Google haven't taken this down yet already.

So I've immediately got half the screen covered in adverts. Must be a scam. Uninstalled.

The screen is far too small to read. It almost feels like a bad joke with huge ads all around the edge of the screen and a tiny little window in the middle for the actual app.

Looks like a scam? Impossible to read and ads everywhere.

Most chromebooks have a smaller screen - why create a email client that is wrapped by an advertisement for your office apps and make the email client super small? I dont know what happened to thunderbird because it used to be good.

looks like scam, after uninstall the extension i change my gmail password, also went to settings, account, privassy, permissions and remove the permisions i gave to this third party. Remember is not enough just to remove extension or app from chrome.

Installed T-bird through Offidocs.com which seems like a virus. Complete frustration. Don't like to use a well established app through an unwanted third party

Hard to read and slow. Hard to configure since it is an online app. Not too impressed.

Bill Oborn August 25th, 2017

Have to reconfigure it every time you start it up. Does not support attachments. Very limiting.

Eli Cole April 18th, 2017

Sort of weird... takes a long time to start up (>15 seconds every time you open it) and is hosted on some random Linux server. Wouldn't trust it with my passwords.

Mark A April 5th, 2017

Like the other reviewer I spend a lot of time setting up with multiple email accounts. Upon restarting my browser everything is gone. I don't see a way to permanently save it in the extension.

Totally useless! Spent one whole day setting up like my windows system on my chrome book. The next day all settings lost! What a POS this is! Do not use, you are only wasting your time...

This is obviously a Linux remote desktop. Who is hosting this desktop? Seems like a trap to capture your email credentials.
