What a crock, wont play stations it advertises playing.

Really very poor indeed. You have to override the default Chrome cookie settings to get it to remember anything and then if you select a BBC Radio station, it immediately loses the ability to select Favourites or Most Recent while showing a notification that you need to download the Radioplayer App (which is only available for IOS and Android devices)! It seems quite clear from the complete absence of responses to requests for Support in the Chrome App Store in relation to this extension that RadioPlayer have lost interest in it.

Used to be great and work with no issues, now keeps asking me to use the chrome app to be able to save my favourite stations - while i'm using the chrome app! pretty impressive to remove functionality that used to work. Otherwise nice simple access to loads of radio stations.

Ok When it worked. No longer works for some reason, just gives a blank screen even after reinstalling

When it worked it was ideal for me, but it has just completely stopped in the last couple of days (just a blank white window, no sound, refresh does not help).

Used to be great. Then the Beeb changed to BBC sounds and cut off iPlayer Radio. Since then this app does not work. Sigh.

Good for radio as far as listening but never remembers stations. Doesn't matter how many times I set up favorites, every time I return to it, it says this is the first time using it, here's some we've chosen for you. Which makes it pointless. Only extension that does it and yes, I'm signed into Chrome.

simply doesnt work as search failed, web site worked but app ext failed on searching, if i cant find anything then i cant listen so.... 1star

Good if it wprked. Diabled adblocker as asked, reloaded a few times and from scratch but no-go!

Doesn't seem to work at all. On opening loads BBC Radio 4 but doesn't play. Menu and search function doesn't work. Would be nice to have all UK radio stations in one place, that's the purpose of this extension right? Very poor QA from the developers. Update: Clearing *.radioplayer.co.uk cookies fixed the issues. Pretty good app. Would be better if it remembered favourites.

Great when working and then suddenly deletes all your favourite stations. This keeps happening. Hopeless overall.

Just opens and refuses to play more often than not. Frustrating.

A great extension, just missing chromecast support. (yes it's in the android app)

Seems to have a mind of it's own, one day it is fine then for no reason decides not to work at all for a few days, waste of time.

Used to be good, but makes you listen to a 30 second ad every time you change station.

I could not listen to absolute radio (i missed 80s and classic rock the most) and bbc 1 after i returned back to my country, Nepal. Now with this extension i cna listen to them and more. But absolute radio 80's and classic rock is enough ;) Thanks

When it works it works, but when it doesn't...man, it really just acts as a dud extension. I have a few other types of radio players and this one seems to be the flakiest. One day it works at home, and doesn't work in the office... then it works in the office, and doesn't work at home. Works on Mainline stations fine, but will abruptly halt streaming on other stations. The FAQ says if it isn't working then it's the station's problem, but ALL stations besides BBC can't all have the same problem at the same time.

Looks good, but doesn't actually play anything using Chrome 64 bit on Windows 10 for me.

Great for listing to London from outside the UK It's like being back at home in the Mayhem.

It used to be on my desktop and was excellent was able to listen whilst doing other things without opening Google Chrome, now unfortunately its much slower and forgets all your presets. Please could you restore it as before so it appears on desktop.

A great App. I enjoy some digital stations and without a DAB radio this is a superb way of enjoying them.

One of my favourite extensions. It just works perfectly with all my usual online/DAB radio stations. Works with BBC Playlister! So you can add tracks from the radio to your own playlist and then listen to them via a streaming service - BRILLIANT. It would be nice if it remembered my favourite stations, etc after a powerwash or synced between devices. It would also be great if it was a proper packaged Chrome OS app. I can pin it to my shelf, however if the Radioplayer window isn't open then it will just take me to the extensions menu, which is annoying at times. ChromeOS has been updated and now has a new 'side dock' that allows you to dock certain things next to a larger window. It would be useful if Radioplayer were compatible with this as well. Despite this, it is still one of my favourite extensions.

Good, but opens the radio in a new window. Should have the option to pick your radio station then have the menu disappear, and only exist in the extension button. Extra window is unnecessary.

I love this App,but it can't work recently.I'm in china,using SSH or VPN,but this app keep telling me "The sound of silence" couple of days.I can't understand.Pls help me.

This needs to be made into a Desktop app / Chrome Packaged App, not an extension!

there's something wrong with the search function, sometimes it finds stations other times it finds nothing. on the taskbar its displayed as a blank. there's a few glitches that weren't there when I first installed the APP. but its the only APP I can find for UK Radio Stations.

1. Enhance into an Chromium/Chrome Packaged App. 2. Add geolocation permission 3. add choice of Background colour e.g. Black or white

Just installed this extension and it stores all of my favourite radio stations, including Capital FM 105.4 and Heart 96.6, therefore I am extremely pleased that I found this extension! Plus Wave 105 FM and Radio 1 is on there too! All in all, the one place where all the radio stations are located :)

Easy to find the radio stations I listen to. Worth adding the extension to the browser.

Wont load up the window content when "Better Pop up Blocker" is running, I disable it and the radio appears. This happens even if I "temporary allow global" ie the extension is running but not stopping any popups. Any ideas people?

I can finally ditch my rubbish DAB radio! It would be lovely if there was a way to automatically switch between my favourite stations at certain times of the day though (e.g. switching away from Radio 4 at 2pm for 15 minutes ;- )

really handy app for uk radio listeners.for me it is exciting that i listen to shortwave bbc world service in a transistor radio and several online radio app simultaneously sitting in a remote town in india.

Used to be great and deserved 5 stars. Then suddenly stopped working completely, stuck on 'Tuning...' Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, disabling pop-up blockers, the works, but with no success. Shame. I'm now uninstalling and looking for an alternative.

It's great but do I have to have the tour EVERY time I open the player? Surely not, but there doesn't seem to be any options. Adding to that, the automatically sized window is too short, and doesn't show 'skip', meaning having to resize the window and click skip each time.

Great simple and easy way to go straight to a radio without having to find the station website. One catch though: your "My Stations" are NOT remembered if block third party cookies. This is easily resolved by going to... Preferences -> Under the Bonnet -> Content Settings -> Manage Exceptions ... and then add "cookie.radioplayer.co.uk" to the list of exceptions.

i just installed it and find it good especially i can get sunderland while im in york and listen to it on facebook

Pure genius. Does exactly what is says 'on the tin', simply and elegantly.

Needs an option to skip the intro, I really don't need to see it every time I open the extension.

Excellently integrated into Chrome with just one click UK Radio is at your fingertips! I am only listening to the BBC stations so for me it opens in a separate iPlayer window, instead of within the internet windows which means it is not disturbed when browsing. Brilliant!

Excellent app. It's an official collaboration between the BBC and commercial radio stations, not just a cheap rip off. Lots of great radio stations and very easy to use - you can add your own easy to click favourites like Radio 1 and XFM for example. Try it now!

Love the site, but Chrome integration is just even better!

I love this App! There are lots of brilliant stations around the country and here you can save your favourite ones. It even puts a handy little shortcut on your toolbar.

Excellent extension. Use it at work everyday & at home frequently. Not sure why it needs all my tab and browsing history, may have a prod through the source code just out of interest. But yeah, a great extension.

Could do with a button on the new tab screen, otherwise amazing, and it uses the radio station's official players. Also great it's a separate window. Amazing!!!

Been installing a few Radio apps/extensions for my Chromebook,but always get the message "Can`t install plug-in",so i gave up. But this works 100%. :) ...window needs to be smaller or being able to minimize it to the extension bar on a Chromebook.

How difficult is it - I mean how difficult - to open a web browsers and fire up a radio channel? Well it's just got infinitely easier (Warning ... you could spend all you useful time channel surfing).

Like many of the other reviewers on here, I find the RadioPlayer incredibly useful on a daily basis. Now that this is tightly integrated within the Chrome Browser, radio is just a click away. Particularly pleasing to see it sits in a noticeable, but not distracting place within the browser. Kudos!
