Dear developer, irrespective of everyone type and styles of this or any extension, I admire this of work especially ability to preview chat by placing cursor on the icon. I t help while I am working a lot. BUT, you have remove this. Can you return it.
Doesn't work
- It is no longer open source - It forces you to redirect the search engine to their site, so all your searches are routed to them and addressed back to bing Stop using this and revert to the open source archive
Changed my default search engine!!! Unless I can set my own search engine I am going to uninstall. A shame because it's a nice app otherwise.
Nice BUT Nice extension and does what is promises but why does it take over your search engine? https://i.imgur.com/jZHMkCy.jpg very suspicious. if you try to change the search engine it disables the extension. Fix this and you will get 5 stars

I was using it for more than 7 Years it was perfect until they ruin it by changing my search engine and preventing me from changing it back to google. Not recommended if you like to use Google search engine in your normal search.
i really need it but when i enable it my search engine change and cannot change it to google. its annoying really bad !! give me help.
I used to like this extension very much. However, with the new update (since approx. December 21) the app forces the user to use the "BING" search engine. You will be asked to "accept" the changes made by WAToolkit. Declining to use the the forced search engine selection will disable the extension (by chrome). I do not understand why the developer all of a sudden "misuses" this excellent app?
Used to be great and reliable. The new version changes the google search settings in the background. Uninstall... FYI: You can deactivate the hijack of the adress bar search Click Settings Scroll down until you reach Search engine section You’ll see the option “Search engine used in address bar” and a box next to it Deactivate
*sigh* potentially so useful... But surreptitiously overrides your default search engine to Bing (I'm still flummoxed why chrome still allows this as it's such a source of abuse), so it's an automatic 1 star review and swift uninstall. Because its shown to be demonstrably inherently untrustworthy, I'm highly suspicious of what else it might also be doing... USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Change of ownership: Hijacks search settings now and is in violation of its privacy declaration. DO NOT TRUST!

I used it for a long time but it suddenly tried to change my search engine in the Chrome browser. So today, I uninstalled it. Shameful.
this used to be amazing, however now it hijacks your chrome search bar and sends search queries to bing. You can't control or modify it without disabling the extension
new company owns this and has decided to redirect all searches. Anyone that wants to keep using this, the original dev has it on github (https://github.com/cprcrack/WAToolkit) in it's original form

Have always enjoyed this extension but today Google disabled it because the extension is now forcing you to accept its new permission to "change your search settings to site.watoolkit.com" if you want to keep using it. No thank you! Remove that and I'll reinstall this again.
12-2021: I thought WAToolkit was a very nice extension, but I removed it after 1 year because it recently changed my Google Search engine to Bing without permission. I think the creator wants to make more money, but not on my back. I do not want that. Too bad.
What's happening with controlling the search engine?

Was a 5* but now hijacks your default search browser without users consent and forces Bing. Will be removing until this is sorted as that is a gross intrusion of privacy with no notification and no option to change it.

It's a good app on it's own but I have to say, "Malware alert" on this this extention will try to chage your default browser from Google to others

Been using this for years without problem and then all of a sudden stopped working unless I accepted it changing my search engine to site.watoolkit (which then has the ability to track all of your searches)

For example my default search engine was changed to something I've never even heard of before. I find this very intrusive (and probably against privacy laws). I am considering to mark this extension as abusive, but since the app has been great for a long time I will first give the developer a chance to fix this. Sorry but that's not ok!

An update to this today now requires you to consent to using Bing as your default search engine rather than your normal engine (e.g. Google). No doubt the developer is getting some kickback for this otherwise they would not have done it, but I shall give it a week at most before I uninstall it as I find this obtrusive and unnecessary.
Used to be great, but recent update redirects all search terms *via developers website* to Bing, without any upfront warning, option to disable or explanation in the description. This allows developer to register and log all the search term used by all WAToolkit users. I find this very intrusive (and probably against privacy laws). New update made my consider removing the app,until now it has been amazing, but now it forces my browser to use Bing Search. Bing is a horrible search engine.

I think this Extension is pretty good. But I will be happier if some more and new features are added. I think the wide bubble reading feature needs improvement.

It seems it doesn't work on WhatsApp Business. And with WhatsApp I don't see desktop notifications.
Just installed into my Windows 7 old desktop and run very well. Shall review in more details after a week later. So for so good. This might be the most stable Chrom Extension for WhatsApp so far. Thank you developer.

I love it. One imporvement thought. Even if for some chats on the phone I have muted notifications (because they are too noisy) this extension still makes the notification noise. So it's beeping all the time. (even if I have deselected background notifications)
